Amazing 13 mile hike from Foster Falls to Grundy with diverse terrain and many waterfalls and overlooks to discover. This hike was pretty difficult so not really for a beginner or anyone who doesn't want to be on trail for min. 5hrs.... sign says it takes 7hrs and while I completed it in far less time I can definitely see some people needing 7 or more. Well worth it, one of my favorite hikes in this part of TN!

This place is other worldly. So many cool sights and a good, but sometimes strenuous hike. Several awesome campsites along the trail and amazing waterfall views all over the place. Will be back again!!

One of the most beautiful trails in the southeast, the Fiery Gizzard should please about any hiker. There are 7 named waterfalls along the trail, some with spectacular swimming holes, old growth hemlock, incredible vistas and challenging sections of rocky trail. Andersons Falls and Perpendicular Falls are fantastic, and so is Fosters, with it's big but crowded swimming hole. JULY 2018 NOTE- the trail is currently closed from Sycamore Falls to Raven Point because of pipeline work. It is still possible to hike from Fosters all the way to Andersons Falls, and to add Sycamore to the Grundy Forest Loop. Both are still great hikes. The trail will hopefully be reopened in full in September.

The trails are high so the views down are pretty awesome. You can hit 3 of the falls in just a couple hours hike so great for a short day trip.

It was a perfect Fall day for a hike. The trailhead was pretty easy to find. The trail itself it somewhat strenuous so make sure you have sturdy boots with really good traction. There are several areas of the trail where you are navigating over just rocks & today the trail was pretty muddy from the rain. We followed the water the whole time we hiked & there are several water falls along the way. We didn't have enough time to do the whole trail because rain started coming in. People had dogs on the trail, but I'm not sure how they navigate the rocks. I can't wait to go back!!!

Absolutely amazing trails that follow a brook through waterfalls and rock faces. We swam in the Blue Hole on the way back and it was a nice cool refreshing end to a beautiful hike. Be aware that there is also another 131 Fiery Gizzard Road in Tennessee in a different city make sure you're headed to Tracy City.

Beautiful well maintained trail with thick forest that follows the river with multiple waterfalls. We started at the north trailhead and hiked a few miles south to Sycamore Falls. It was an easy to moderate hike with amazing views and well worth the 1 hour and 40 minute drive from Nashville.

Amazing views and a challenging hike for a beginner like me. Waterfalls are stunning and trails are well kept. Be ready for steep hills and narrow paths. A multitude of Moss and ferns make it a gorgeous park. When we visited it was a bit damp and the rocks were slick. Be cautious. Hiking boots would have been better than my tennis shoes.

The trail can kick your butt, but not impossible. During a few sections there is a possibility of getting lost, but it's rather well marked. When u did it, I did the look out to Ravens Pt, out on the Fiery Gizzard and back on the Dog Hole tail. Definitely a must do.
