ZERO STAR REVIEW.... 3/23/19 Went to look for gear for my daughter. At point of entering the store with my kids and wife, the two staff members (white males) were welcoming and willing to help. As we looked around for what we needed, a white elderly male (customer) entered the store and both staff members greated him and ignored all other customers in the store. Keep in mind this is a very small store, and staff members can see and help customers from the counter. Not a big deal at first, but after a few minutes it got a bit awkward. Could not hear exactly what the elderly white male (customer) was saying to both white male staff members but all three of them were keeping a close eye on my family and I. Almost made it seem as though we were not welcomed or as they were conducting loss prevention surveillance on us. At first it did not bother me, but after a while, I noticed all three starring us down without saying a word or offering to help. I put down $300 worth of merchandise I was intending on purchasing and casually walked out of the store. Five minutes later, I ended up at Big 5, where the staff was friendly, made us feel welcomed and were willing to assist us to find what my daughter needed. Softball back pack, softball bat, pitching/hitting net, softballs, batting gloves, socks and other items.

I was in the process of moving from my home of 36 years and needed to downsize. I had consignment with this store for a treadmill and incline bench. The bench sold but the treadmill did not till November. I never heard from this store. Ever!!! I called several times and the excuse was that my phone number was disconnected?? Today I was told it was sold but that they left messages on my VM well they never had the correct phone number and each time I called and asked why I didn't get a call the person who answered said well we left you a message? excuse #1 Excuse# 2 my number was disconnected?? I was aware that the number was incorrect the 1st time ( I contacted them and never got a call back?) each time I called and corrected them but no one changed the number?? Too difficult for them to change in the computer??Each time and thereafter, when I called I corrected them. Well again the discussion was it was sold and I gave them the wrong number??? And the manager asked which employee I called date time and name? How does it become my problem?They had the right number originally since they called me to pick up the items?? Oh I never got a contract ( I don't think they got my email either nor my former address I am still getting mail forwarded) No effort to call and check the price quoted and was sold at a much lower price?? Where is my say so?? Consignment?? NOT!??! Frankly I only hear "immature" non professional attitude and "wining" like it's my fault?? REALLY!!!!! I also gave the manager who picked up the treadmill my business card, email phone number and my twitter account!! What stupidity I know this is a franchise but now it seems as if the attitude is "what do you want me to do"? Pay up on the agreed price and eat it!! Stupid!!

Place is a joke. The worker is like huh? Try to buy used equipment at a second hand store. They will low ball you to ridiculousness. The guys think they can con someone who worked at a pawn shop, they use the same tactics. Sell on marketplace, offerup l, etc.. forget this joke store and the employees.

The customer service is amazing! You’ll find both new and used items. Prices are very reasonable. This is our first stop when finding more work out equipment and bikes. You’ll never feel pressured in buying anything but staff is there to always help answer an questions.

Great customer service from James this Sunday afternoon. He provided quality knowledge and information on a lacrosse mask I ended up purchasing.

Friendly staff, they will answer your questions in a friendly manner. We have bought stuff from them and recently traded some hockey equipment for store credit. I was expecting less money for the trade, and was gladly surprised by the amount I recieved. They have a good inventory, I highly recommend this place if your kids are trying new sports and you are not sure that they're going to stick with it.

Went in to buy a catcher's mask. Found a worth mask. The protecting foam was completely dislodge from the helmet part. Asked if they could give me a better price on their USED product. The associate said, "No. "Because if you go anywhere else these are 60 dollars. But if you'd like, I can take it to the back and hot glue it for you." Sorry young man, but that wasn't the answer I was looking for. So the purchase wasn't made. I usually have great experiences while shopping at play it again sports Yorba Linda. But I will not return to this location again. Hopefully your experience is better than mine.

I went to this location despite living near another because of the selection I saw online. As an adult female, starting out in hockey, I am always extremely intimidated when I enter an (usually) all male store. I’ve had a bad experience at Hockey Monkey and a not so great one at Pure Hockey. James and his staff here at this location were great. They asked if I needed help and made sure I was doing ok but also left me alone. I didn’t feel pressured to buy but most importantly, I felt comfortable asking for help. I think the prices are fair too.I’ll be back! Shop local!

Brand new golfer went in store to look at iron set, gentlemen that helped me recommended a certain set because “they are more forgiving” for new players rather than a more expensive option. Looked online and confirmed what he said. Thanks play it again!
