I have been training at New Breed since January of 2009. The school helps people of all ages and backgrounds develop their bodies, minds, and spirits through not only martial arts training, but also through the positive learning environment fostered there. It is a family oriented, community-building environment. The school welcomes men, women, and children of all ages and of any experience level. It doesn't matter if you have never done anything athletic before, or if you have been out of the game for some time. The curriculum accounts for various skill levels, and is designed to help you learn the techniques to successfully graduate to the next skill level. It's a fun pace to learn at. If you are considering joining a martial arts school, I totally recommend taking advantage of the 30-day free trial offered at New Breed.

If you’re bored working out at a regular gym, come here and learn some self-defense and get a good workout while doing it. It is a great place to workout, learn, and make friends. There are different levels to every curriculum. From beginners, intermediate, and advance. It is a constructed system that would help the learning process fast. The physical training part of each class is a great way to stay fit. Beginners is introduction. Once advancing to intermediate, you can go to different classes like Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Muay Thai (kick boxing). Advanced level is designed for a tactician level or Art specific. I’ve been training here since 2013 and I’m still in this academy training. The staff and people that are here who wears the New Breed Patch are friendly and approachable. The environment is very friendly, warm, and welcoming to new people. I highly recommend people to come and train here for fitness, challenges, and friends.

I'm from whittier and I've been going to New Breed Academy for about nine months now and i absolutely love it! I train Brazilian Jiu JItsu and the instructors and staff are amazing. They are patient, thorough, and very friendly. The students are also helpful and friendly and i love being around them. The conditioning classes are very challenging; a good class to take to stay in shape. New Breed is a place that I now love and I plan to stay here for a while. I strongly suggest this gym to anyone!

My husband started training at New Breed Academy 10 years ago. We have been training as a family at New Breed for over 2+ years and it was the best decision we ever made. Our son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and with the support of staff and instructors, he has made so much progress. He has participated in the Summer Camp Bully Proof Program and their after school program. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the programs and Coach Adolfo and Coach Peter are great. He is currently training BJJ and Muay Thai and Coach Danny and Coach Eddie are awesome. I’ve taken the MMA class with Coach Marco who is phenomenal. I am currently training Muay Thai and also take the boot camp classes which I highly recommend. Ms. Bridget and Mr. Vince are always available to answer any questions or concerns. In summary, if we are not home, you’ll likely find us at New Breed.

New Breed Academy has had such a positive impact on my life. The academy has really pushed me to grow and try things outside of my comfort zone. It’s helped me grow both physically and mentally stronger. I’ve been able to create relationships with people who teach me, motivate me and hold me accountable both on and off the mat. I started off taking 2 classes (inconsistently) and now 2 years later I am here 5 times a week. It’s definitely not easy being a girl in a male dominated sport but New Breed has done a great job at making me feel right at home. I definitely recommend checking this place out, the energy and positive atmosphere here is unlike any other gym.

Being at New Breed has been such a great, empowering, and uplifting experience for me. Even in the first few months I noticed a huge positive difference in my strength, weight, stamina, and motivation. The instructors and students both contribute to an encouraging environment. No matter how much or how little you are in shape to begin with, you are pushed at your own level and you improve your skills and power. I greatly appreciate the unique women's self defense program which compliments our training, and I am always 100% comfortable in other classes even if I am the only female there. The attitudes are always positive and every class is a challenge that is well worth it! The kids classes are also great and my son felt the positive environment right away. I am naturally a very frugal person :) but being at New Breed has been worth every penny. It helped my son and I to foster such a love for martial arts that we plan to keep it going throughout our lives.

In June of last year, I had the opportunity to train at New Breed Academy while preparing for the World Jiu Jitsu Championships. Their instructors were not only friendly and knowledgeable, they had a way of instructing students in a way that made it easy for anyone to learn the technique they were showing. That made such a lasting impact on me, that we began to implement similar teaching techniques at our New Breed Academy in Hawaii. It is always a pleasure to train with these guys, as you get great instruction, a good workout, but you also get a lot of laughs in while on the mat. I would highly recommend New Breed Academy for anyone who is looking for a gym to get fit and learn some really cool stuff. They have a program for anyone! Miss you guys! See you again soon.

I have been training on and off at newbreed since 2006. I've seen people come and go, some have been constant. It's a great training environment and the instructors are solid. Compared to other schools style of jiu jitsu, newbreed holds its own.

The coaches are always giving you advise when you struggle with any technique and the progres system they use had been very effective when tracking my progress.

New breed is a great place to train, they were welcoming from day one it felt like family. The professors are there for you on and off the mats. There's a community among the staff and students. I now have been training for a little over a year now. I am grateful for the influence BJJ has put into my life at work, personal and even among peers. BJJ is a journey, it grows on you, it makes those long days feel easier. To me, my biggest gain is that I am less stressed with life, because I now have an outlet, that I enjoy very much. I navigate problems with more ease and critical thinking. Stop by and take that jump on those mats and have your own experience/journey. Osss!
