Having a great time in this vegetarian restaurant! Great variety of selections including noodles, drinks, stir fried, and deserts. And they are all super delicious! Got the famous bun Bo hue and was very happy with it. The three color ice is amazing especially on hot days. Salt and pepper chicken is new and so good. Would definitely come back again.

Food was amazing. You don’t have to be vegan/vegetarian to love this place. We tried the fried egg rolls, shrimp & pork rolls (my favorite!!), and tofu rolls as our starters which were delicious with peanut sauce. The main dishes of lemongrass chicken as well as the mixed vegetables pho were both extremely tasty. We’re very pleased with how large and filling the portions were. Kind staff, great location, incredible flavors and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

My family and I are returning customers, as we couldn't resist the absolutely delicious and unique vegetarian restaurant's menu!! Today, we ordered favorite past foods such as the Tofu Rolls and Shrimp and Pork Rolls, Rice Noodles, Stir Fried Vegetables, and Combination Pan Fried Rice Noodles, as well as a new dish, Egg Rolls--all were tasty and clean as usual. Also, the customer service there is excellent; they were kind and flexible with orders. I'm not a big fan of mint in my spring rolls, so I asked for none. They complied with my wishes with no problem at all, so I'm very appreciative of that. 5 stars overall!

Been here a couple times now and everything I've tried has been great. If you're looking for a surprising experience, then this is the place! If your looking to try something new, try the clay pot fish or lemongrass chicken you won't believe how similar the flavors and texture is. The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, great food and great service. I'll definitely be back soon.

This is such a hidden gem in Temple City. Everything we ordered are DELICIOUS. I've never eaten an egg roll since I don't eat pork. That been said, this is the first-ever egg roll in my life and I LOVE IT! If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I would choose this taro taste egg roll. The salt and pepper chicken (heard it's their new dish) is also super good. Highly recommended for anyone who is vegetarian.

Was looking for a restaurant with healthy, tasty, and vegetarian options. So happy I found Happy Buddha Kitchen. They will make eating more plant based diet so much easier. In Temple City Plaza next to Office Depot and CVS. Love the chill and wholesome ambiance and decor. Music selection was spot on. Like a lot of other people said, the restaurant was very clean. Staff was attentive and came by to check on us on a regular interval. Thai iced tea tasted like the Thai tea I tried in Thailand! Authentic. Super yummy and you can ask for oat milk or almond milk if you prefer. Steamed rice rolls were light and had crunchy egg rolls. Sauce went well with the rice rolls. Bun Bo hue was amazing! So much flavor. Dare say even better than the meat version. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Excellent taste! I love the menu offerings and the impossible pho was delicious! But the best were the egg rolls! Omg! Tasted just like non-vegan and comes with a vegan fish sauce which was excellent too. I love the different sauces they had on the table. The only thing we were disappointed with was the lemon something boba. I would skip the boba. Not their specialty. Good service, clean place, nice ambience. Overall a good experience.

Lemongrass chicken! Lemongrass chicken! Lemongrass chicken! Trust me. You’ll thank me later. This is definitely their must try dish if it’s your first time and only getting one item. If getting two items, then gotta add the bun bo hue. Personally, I like to sub in the wide egg noodles. I overheard some aunties saying how good it was and had to try it. Did not disappoint. Glad I heard them talking about it. Pleasant customer service. Waitress came by a few times to ask how we’re doing and added water for us. Definitely excellent service for the price point. On par with much more expensive restaurants. They seem to have a lot of people working for a relatively small restaurant.

Great vegetarian restaurant! Probably the best in town. They have great selection of different food for your like and ranging from authentic Chinese style to Vietnamese style. The chief and owner continuously update their menu with great tasting food. We had Orange Chicken, Beyond Pho, Eggplant with Tofu pot and Egg Rolls for dinner. The service is above and beyond, even a slice of lemon in the tasty iced water! The price is very reasonable consider the current inflation. The majority of the dishes are around $12. Great restaurant and will definitely suggest to everyone vegetarian or not!

What a pleasant surprise to find Happy Buddha Kitchen! Each dish was spectacular and full of vegetarian goodies! I mean talk about value for your money paired with deliciousness!!! Likely the BEST vegetarian Bun Bo Hue I have tasted by far!!! Literally A-MAZING! 🔥 Also at the end of the meal, they give a complimentary “tong shui” Chinese “sugar water” dessert but the healthy kind with red beans, seaweed, and a bunch of other herbs! Did I mention how CLEAN the restaurant is too?! Wonderful! First time trying Happy Buddha. All the food is vegetarian even though the names mimic dishes with meat. Food was so amazing and the staff were super nice! I went with a friend. We tried the uber delicious bun bo hue. This is a must try. My friend is Vietnamese and said it's better than anything he's had. The lemongrass chicken tasted like real chicken and the sides were great, too. Egg rolls were crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. Perfection! Parking was a breeze with the large parking lot and big spaces. Tater tots and waffle fries came in cute holders. I like that they offer really high quality free candy like Hershey's and Reese's. Also, they are running a limited time special to support the Girl Scouts! We got a box of free cookies. Will definitely come again! Thanks for the warm and excellent service.

Delicious Asian, vegetarian dishes. The food was very flavorful and balanced. The fish sauce and peanut sauce added a lot of character to the spring rolls. The fried Satan (salt and pepper chicken) was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The lemongrass chicken (in pic) was also soft and juicy. Portions were generous too

The egg rolls are very tasty ... they have a special flavor compared to other places because they have taro inside. Makes me want to go back very soon!

I've been to Happy Buddha numerous times now and it always delivers. I've been vegan/vegetarian for 13 years and I've eaten at countless vegetarian spots (it's kind of a hobby of mine), and this spot is one of the few that can incorporate authentic flavors that are dialed in just right, a bright/open/unpretentious atmosphere, and insanely reasonable prices. Fun fact: as part of a vegetarian temple, I often bump into members who have been vegetarian for decades...so yea, this place is onto something lol

Nothing is better than VEGAN pho after mass on a hot Sunday afternoon in sunny California! (I chose the “dac biet” pho, which had mushrooms, Beyond meatballs, vegan ham, & 2 kinds of tofu). To treat myself, I also ate a plate of 5-fried vegan egg rolls filled with veggies & toro ❤️ It was a delicious meal - I recommend this place to my vegan brothers & sisters!!!
