I
joined
the
Village
Fitness
small
group
classes
after
going
through
Physical
Therapy
for
problems
I
was
having
with
my
knees.
I
was
a
cardio
junkie,
doing
at
least
one
hour
of
cardio
every
single
day.
During
PT,
Dr.
Erik
was
doing
everything
he
could
to
convince
me
to
tone
down
the
cardio
because
it
was
not
doing
me
any
good.
He
was
also
concerned
that
what
I
was
doing
might
be
contributing
to
my
knee
issues.
He
wanted
me
to
join
the
small
group
classes
at
Village
where
a
Coach
could
monitor
me
&
correct
any
form
issues
I
might
have.
I
was
scared
to
death
that
I
would
gain
weight
if
I
stopped
doing
all
that
cardio.
He
assured
me
I
would
not,
but
I
did
not
believe
him.
I
did
agree
to
start
going
to
the
small
group
classes
&
found
I
really
liked
them
(even
though
we
only
do
about
5
minutes
of
cardio
in
each
class).
The
Coaches
are
amazing
&
so
helpful.
They
help
me
with
my
form,
any
concerns
I'm
having
&
encourage
me
to
progress
to
heavier
weights
based
on
how
I
am
doing.
I
have
been
going
to
these
classes
for
over
a
year
&
have
limited
my
cardio
outside
of
the
classes.
And
I
have
NOT
gained
any
weight.
Another
thing
I
have
learned
is
that
lifting
weights
is
to
gain
strength,
not
just
to
improve
how
you
look.
I
never
lifted
anything
heavier
than
15
pounds
but
my
arms
were
toned,
so
that's
all
I
cared
about.
With
the
12
standards
that
Village
teaches,
you
gain
strength
for
longevity.
I
never
looked
past
how
much
I
weighed
&
how
my
arms
looked.
I
now
know
that
building
strength
will
help
me
as
I
age
to
be
able
to
continue
to
do
the
things
I
want
to
do.
I
will
be
a
grandmother
for
the
first
time
in
October
&
I
want
to
be
able
to
play
with
my
grandson
for
many
years.
My
15
pound
weight
limit
has
improved
to
40
pound
overhead
presses,
170
pound
deadlifts
&
I'm
improving
the
depth
of
my
squats
as
well.
All
because
of
the
Coaches
who
give
everyone
in
class
specialized
attention.
And
the
community
of
people
at
Village
are
awesome
as
well!
We
all
support
each
other
&
cheer
each
other
on.
I
cannot
recommend
Village
Fitness
enough!
Joining
the
classes
was
one
of
the
best
decisions
I
have
made.
