As
with
all
of
my
reviews,
I
had
a
hard
time
determining
how
many
stars
to
give.
In
this
case,
it
was
either
4
or
5
stars.
Read
on
to
understand
why
I
ended
up
with
4.
This
is
the
fifth
time
that
we
have
played
golf
since
being
in
Italy
on
our
9
week
vacation.
We
played
in
the
Florence
area,
in
the
Dolomites
and
finally
outside
of
Milan
at
Castelconturbia
Golf
Club.
We
had
a
nice
time
playing
this
Robert
Trent
Jones
Sr.
course.
There
are
three
9
hole
courses.
We
played
Blue
and
then
Red.
They
are
consistent
with
other
Robert
Trent
Jones
courses
we
have
played,
where
he
has
done
an
amazing
job
of
taking
what
the
land
gives
in
creating
challenging
yet
playable
courses.
We
arrived
early.
We
didn't
know
it,
but
there
was
a
tournament
later
in
the
day.
I
have
never
seen
so
many
sets
of
golf
clubs
at
any
course
that
I
have
played.
They
have
a
HUGE
area
where
players
store
their
clubs.
Since
we
were
traveling,
we
rented
our
clubs
and
trolley's.
The
clubs
I
used
were
an
off
brand
but
they
turned
out
to
be
very
good.
My
wife
also
rented
and
hers
were
good
as
well.
When
we
went
into
the
pro
shop,
the
person
checking
us
in
was
not
very
friendly.
This
experience
continued
when
picking
up
our
clubs
and
trolleys
from
the
caddy
master.
Maybe
it
was
a
lack
of
english
-
not
sure.
The
experience
was
definitely
very
different
from
the
other
Italian
golf
courses
that
we
played!
We
hit
some
balls
on
the
range.
The
area
between
the
ropes
where
we
were
supposed
to
hit
was
aweful.
There
was
almost
no
grass
left
to
hit
from.
I
decided
to
hit
a
bit
further
back
in
order
to
have
a
reasonable
warmup.
The
putting
green
is
large
and
nice.
There
is
good
signage
to
help
you
find
the
right
tee
box
to
hit
from.
And
play
was
exactly
on
time.
The
course
itself
is
nice.
The
fairwais
are
in
good
shape.
They
need
a
mowing,
but
the
grass
is
pretty
good.
The
bunkers
are
pretty
good
as
well.
There
is
different
sand
in
the
fairway
bunkers
as
compared
to
those
around
the
green.
Those
around
the
green
are
in
better
shape.
There
were
a
number
of
bunkers
with
water
in
them.
It
had
rained
a
few
days
earlier,
but
I
would
expect
them
to
have
drained.
The
greens
are
in
good
shape
as
well.
The
were
some
weeds,
they
rolled
well.
The
shapes
of
the
greens
are
interesting
-
changing
the
approach
significantly
depending
on
where
the
pin
is
placed.
They
have
some
good
undulation
as
well,
making
putting
a
challenge.
And
the
grain
really
has
an
impact
on
how
fast
or
slow
the
put
rolls.
The
overall
layout
is
very
fair.
If
you
hit
the
ball
well
and
in
the
fairway,
you
will
have
a
good
approach.
If
you
do
not,
you
will
not:)
The
blue
9
is
shorter
than
the
red
9.
The
first
three
holes
of
the
red
9
are
long.
Even
with
a
good
tee
shot,
the
next
shot
is
difficult.
There
are
well
placed
bunkers
both
on
the
fairway
and
around
the
greens.
The
only
real
complaint
that
I
have
is
that
the
par
3
holes
are
fairly
short.
I
played
the
yellow
tee
boxes.
This
made
most
of
the
par
4
holes
a
challenge,
but
I
was
often
times
hitting
a
wedge
into
the
par
3s.
We
played
the
front
9
quickly
-
in
just
less
than
2
hours.
This
gave
us
time
to
have
a
coffee
and
snack
before
playing
the
back.
We
went
into
the
restaurant,
ordered
and
finished
in
enough
time
to
make
our
back
9
tee
time.
The
back
was
a
bit
slower,
but
we
still
finished
in
less
than
2.5
hours.
Overall,
a
nice
time.
The
course
is
good.
The
staff,
not
so
much.
Would
I
play
it
again
-
yes,
but
since
I
have
already
played
it,
I
would
try
other
courses
first.
