Overly expensive, this place is the definition of don't believe the hype. We went because we thought it would be a nice place to grab a quick hamburger. We sat and waited a VERY long time for service, we were captivated in our personal conversation so we did not realize just how long we were waiting until we found a pause in our conversation and realized a few tables around us had changed over and new tables already had drinks. We asked a floating waiter for drinks, again waited a while for drinks to show up. We waited a while more and had to ask another random waiter to put in our order. We watched as other tables that had arrived well after us sat, drank and ate and our food had still now arrived, we again asked another waiter about our food, waited and finally the burger and fries showed up, we began to eat and realized there were no utensils and we asked another waiter for utensils and condiments. At the end when the bill arrived, on reviewing the bill we found a 18% gratuity had been automatically added, not a big deal if the service and food are good plus I typically tip 20% (so I saved 2%), I thought it was policy until I read on and found a suggested gratuity at the bottom of the bill of 10-18%, the suggested gratuity indicated to me that our waitress had pre-emptively added the highest gratuity for herself. When I confronted her about it she pretended to be ignorant as to how this could have happened, that irritated me and was the last straw us. She thought it was classy to argue with me so we paid what was owing for the food and drinks with not tip and left as she angrily grumbled about us not giving her a tip. I would HIGHLY recommend if you go here CLOSELY critique your bill especially if you have Dellisa (Delicia) for your waiter, she is unattentive, lacks attention to detail and over all lacking professionalism. We suspect if one is doing it, others may be doing it.

Far too expensive bar, and the hype was a overmade. Not worth the hype. - The slide was great. - vibe was alright. Music was on point. - Food is below average. I came from Jamaican season, which definitely not had. - drinks are far too sweet, and not enough alcohol. - service was not great. Spent $70+ on here, and didn’t find it worth it.

Ocean side dining with a tropical touch. Good music. Good was hot and tasty. The water activities were fun. There is a local vendor showing/selling Jamaican souvenirs. This lunch stop was part of our snorkeling adventure.

Stopped here on the catamaran and had a drink. The slide was cool but it was super packed. Drinks were strong but did not have the souvenir glasses at all. Shirt selection was decent but didn't have some of the more popular sizes M L XL etc. I would go back for another drink.

Everyone around town recommended we stop by here. It was pretty dead during the day but I enjoyed it none the less. The water slide launches you into the ocean and was a lot of fun. I thought it was cool they had a lady selling souvenirs on the top floor. The price of drinks were pretty expensive but I guess that’s to be expected.

to be honest first time i went evening time and i walked out because nobody came to serve me but because of high reviews i decided to give it another go to actually taste the food so went on a day time. totally different story - customer service was good, everything came out on point, food tasted nice and drinks were great! view is beautiful but everything is expensive, more expensive than anywhere else but clearly because it is a tourist attraction! still, i was pleased! 👍

Been going here for years and love it! The food is typical Jimmy Buffet. So don’t expect a local Jamaican food experience or anything. Mostly come here for the frozen drinks and waterfront atmosphere. I still have all my clocks and souvenir cups laying around. Prepare to spend a little on those, but if you’re sticking around for a while… it’s worth it. The slide is a blast and I definitely recommend always sitting at the top deck if possible. The water is definitely deep, so make sure you’re a good swimmer. If you can make it out to the obstacle course, that’s an fun time too.

We stopped here as part of a catamaran tour. We don't drink so I cannot comment on drinks or prices. But we did enjoy the water slide into the ocean and the trampoline. I recommend blocking your nose and closing your eyes before you hit that salty water !

Very run down Margaritaville. Food and drinks severely overpriced. Drinks also watered down and very weak. If you imagine coming here and getting a chair and relaxing in the sun and doing some water sports or swimming, forget it. There's only places to sit and eat or drink, and if the water is the slightest bit active they don't allow any swimming. Oh and don't think about using the slide!! It's severely run down and paint chips peeling off inside. Just imagine those in your skin 😬. There are far better places to visit.

Lots of fun at Margaritaville! Great music, drinks and vibes. There was a free shuttle from the resort we stayed at that took us there and back, also able to use the slide and water park for free!

While on a cruise we visited Jamaica and hit up Margaritaville, it was a good start to the day to take a break and get a nice cold drink, some good food and take a little dip in the water. They have some fun toys and a waterslide that could be highly questionable, but it was fun and worth it. Staff was very friendly and the overall vibe was Partytown but then again it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.

What a delightful end to a beautiful boat ride across the Caribbean Sea. My family enjoyed the sliding dump into the seawater and overall we had a great time at Margaritaville. The next day we found out that Margaritaville was actually less than 20 minutes by car from our resort but by ⛵ it took us every bit of an hour but the ride was so well worth it.

While visiting on the Hip Strip we stopped in MMB and the second floor had a great view of the water and people using the water slide. The drinks and food were okay. It is more of the experience and views we enjoyed.

The shrimp tacos were fresh, well seasoned and the and platter had a variety of flavours that complemented each other. The wings were spicy and with a bit of a tang, the quesadillas 👌🏾. Beautiful view 😌

Absolute blast of a place and a must visit off the resorts of Montego Bay. While we visited during COVID times, the atmosphere was still very lively. The water slide off the top floor of the building is a BLAST and picks up some serious speed. They also have some other water activities you can swim over to and it seems to be a port for party boats so you get some really fun crowds. The food and drinks were great and the service was awesome. I would imagine it's even more fun when there aren't curfews and the dance floor and packed.

This place was so fun when we went! The service is amazing, the food is great and the atmosphere and views are killer. And they play fun music! Special shout out to Philicia aka Linda 😂 she was so nice and really made our visit special. Philicia is funny and her service is exceptional. Definitely recommend going here and we will definitely go back if we’re in Montego Bay in the future.

While on vacation, my husband and I chose to eat and spend several hours here. We loved our burger and chicken meals. They had live entertainment on stage and we had a blast on the water slides. So much fun!

Waiters demand their tipa which is very rude. Earn it! You for sure will get it without pushing the clients.i It's very uncomfortable. Their service seems fake and forced just for the tips. Very bad! It happened two times. Won't be back!

Food was good, though was coming out very slow. We tried their Pasta - all you can eat.. very small portions and long gaps before reloads. Service was very good from the person we had dealing with us. View is always hard to beat... Not just in Ja, but anywhere.

My friends and I went there in...I don't remember, but it was in midterms, the experience and ambiance was a great stress reliever. Our waitress was really nice. The food looks exactly like what is on the menu, the drinks were amazing. My only problem was that we wanted to sit on the balcony but the tables weren't cleared from the previous guests. The experience was good, and the prices are in US, so heads up, they'll calculate them to JMD if u want tho.

It was a great experience; a lot of seating which overlooks the beautiful ocean with inviting cool breezes. There is DJ playing awesome music, the staff is really polite and friendly. Our waiter Nyrone was Stellar!

Appetizer was sooooooo good and the main course was disappointing. Party place so expect loud music which depending on your preference is not a bad thing. Service is good. Found the menu to be limited in regards to main course. They make great cocktails too. Had fun despite main course.

The usual. Been coming to Jamaica for 25 years and it's always the same but it's always been good and always good service good drinks good food good time to be had by all. Gets really busy when the cruise ships are in port or tours show up from the catamaran tours and flood the place with people suddenly. But on normal nights when the cruise ships are gone and the catamarans are not there then it's just a normal place with just good food good drinks and not crowded at all. Always enjoy going here though! grab a t-shirt from the souvenir shop while there.

Great location. Be prepared for it to be loud, and I mean really loud. If you are not a partier, I would strongly avoid or try to sit on the top deck where it is quieter. It's a chain restaurant but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

Margaritaville is a family friendly restaurant by day and a popping night club by night. My girlfriends and I LOVED it!! The food is good, not the best that I've had but edible. The drinks aren't too strong but flavorful. The atmosphere during the day is fun. There's never a dull moment. The staff is friendly but be prepared to wait a while on your order if they are busy. The restrooms are clean. They have a two story building that has a waterslide attached to the top that is free to try. They also have water play activities including jet skies for a price. The nightclub scene is hectic. If you go, be advised, there are a LOT of people there... A LOT!!! Be careful and keep your purse close to you. It is the perfect environment for pickpockets. The music is a good combination of Jamaican and American hip hop. I'll definitely be going back when we visit Jamaica again.

Very touristy area, so be prepared to get hustled on the street outside as well as by the photo & souvenir people inside. Staff & management were quick & helpful, very on top of service. Fun slide & water games in the sea!

We made a daytime stopover at Margaritaville during a catamaran cruise, and it quickly became one of the memorable moments of the cruise. The layout was fun and exciting, and you could easily tell everyone was there to have a good time. The water slide into the ocean seemed exciting, although I didn't try it out. There were other fun inflatables on the water as well. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. I heard the nighttime club was exciting too!
