My fiancé made reservations here during a surprise 30th birthday trip to Jamaica. The Views: absolutely stunning! Even when the sun went down we enjoyed the view of the island in the distance. The Food: The Caesar salad, my goodness it was delicious, I should’ve told them it was for two instead of one. The salmon cakes and sauce: yes please! I ordered the surf and turf, fiancé ordered the drunken lobster and he scarfed it down within ten minutes, it was that good. The balance of the steak, lobster, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and wine made a great combination. We enjoyed everything with no complaints. The Staff: courteous, engaging, and attentive. They weren’t in our face the whole time (experience that a lot back home) it was like they knew when to come check on us without interrupting so thank you! The Vibe: romantic, mellow, and relaxed, exactly what I wanted and was looking to experience for my 30th. Overall, this was an amazing birthday dinner and I couldn’t have enjoyed my experience at Marguerites more! Thank you everyone for a great time.

Amazing view, but it ends at that. I took my partner here for a nice dining experience, but was met with unprofessionalism and poor quality food. We ordered crab cakes, lobster, steak & lobster, caesar salad, and chocolate cake. While waiting for our appetizer, my partner was stung by a bee and the staff did not have any way to assist on hand. My partner had to leave and buy tweezers and medicine at a place next door. As I was waiting for his return, I noticed that the table next to me was getting caesar salad made fresh to order, as per the menu’s description. However, when my partner arrived, they simply provided us with pre-made salad that had already been soggy. It was clear that they used whatever was left from the other table’s order. Then, once the lobster arrived, it was visibly overcooked and needed to be sent back to the kitchen. Furthermore, we requested they placed the steak sauce to the side due to allergies; yet, they accidentally topped the dish with the sauce. So it had to be sent back again. Lastly, we were given the incorrect dessert, twice. Overall, I was sadly underwhelmed by this place.

The food, scenery, ambiance and service was great! The wait for the food was brief and it tasted great! The server, Shaneil, was AWESOME! We got there close to the closing time but we were accommodated and given great service! I definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful, calming, and relaxing dinner on the ocean at Marguerites. The service was rather slow but the food was spectacular, they provided generous portions, and nothing can beat that beautiful ocean view dining on the deck even at night. This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world. If you are staying at a resort like we did, it is worth the trip into the city to dine in a luxurious setting. You just have to be patient because they may be short-staffed, but the food is worth the wait. The Lobster and Black Truffle Risotto is amazing, but the best I've had is at Georgia Sea Grill on St. Simon's Island Georgia, and this may be the second best. My sea bass was stellar.

The food, service and atmosphere were all good. However, if you are sensitive to the smell of marijuana ask for a seat away from the lounge next door.

The environs of Marguerite's is definitely the high point of your experience. It sits on the beautiful shoreline of the Caribbean Sea so the view is almost breathtaking. The food is quite average for the price point. For starters we had Grilled Calamari.... Not bad but nothing to write home about. For Entree we had Grilled Lobster, Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, Sea Bass and Fillet Mignon... The presentation was ok the flavors not bad but the serving sizes were that of a kid's meal. Then came dessert.. Cheese cake.... Don't recommend it... Rum cake Ok. The staff was friendly and professional....

I took my family here to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday, and we loved it. Very romantic setting. The service and food was top notch, and they even picked us up from the resort.

It has 2 stars for the atmosphere of the seating outside. Well, my husband and I have heard great things about this place on YouTube and figured we would come here for our anniversary dinner. However, we did not have the same experience as others. First, we had 6pm reservations, and when we got there (exactly 6), they weren't open to the public and told us to wait outside. Wowww! They eventually had us wait in their lounge area on the other side of the restaurant where we saw many dead cockroaches. We got out of that room and went outside and stood instead because now we were re thinking our life choices..When we finally got in about 15 minutes later, they sat us on the outside, and the scenery is very nice. That's it! When we finally got our order, the food was subpar at the least. The presentation was fine, but the crab cakes were mediocre, scallops, and drunken lobster was overcooked, especially the scallops. It was so bad that it seemed like I was just chewing gum and had to spit it out. My husband suffered thru it and ate the 2 scallops that were left. As for the drunken lobster, the mashed potatoes were the only thing that was good besides the Moscato. I'm just glad that it is over, and we won't be back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. My opinion only!

Epic dining experience! The food was absolutely amazing and accommodated our party's dietary restrictions in regards to dairy allergies. I literally cannot describe the attention to detail of each dish and the quality and presentation of all the dishes. The grilled calamari, bay scallops, and sea bass were delectable. Highly recommend if you want a fine dining seafood experience on the water.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I came to this restaurant with 12 family members. They had 12 chances to make our experience worth while but nope. The food tasted bland. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The service was impeccable but the food was not impressionable. Save your money !!!!

I had high hopes for Marguerites. The menu online looked very inviting. However, what I ended up receiving when I ordered was not at all as described. The service was not great. Spoke with our server and the response was 'this is how Jamaican food is' I would not recommend this restaurant.

Waterfront seafood restaurant located on the hip strip in Montego Bay. Yes, it is pricey, but a Great choice if you have a special occasion or that special someone you want to take for a romantic dinner. The seafood rundown was excellent. Caesar salad was quite wilted and sweet, but the location made up for that! There is parking across the street and I think they also have valet service or can grab you a cab if necessary.

George made our experience! We did not have reservations but it was my boyfriend's 36th birthday. We were accommodated and sat along the water. George promptly up-sold us a bottle of wine ( respect) and took our order. We had scallops for appetizer in a tomato sauce, very balanced and very nice. We shared a rich lobster saffron risotto. It was his birthday and they surprised him by singing and making him feel special. George also shared some of his travel stories with us which was a nice personal touch of his top tier service. We enjoyed the restaurant and the service. Recommended!

This site has a beautiful view of the sea and we were able to see 3 manta rays in addition to a beautiful moonlit night. The service very friendly and attentive. The food took them 1 hour to serve but despite the long wait surprisingly all the dishes were delicious. A special mixture of flavors and ingredients very delicate. We all liked the 6 dishes. They were spectacular. For this reason, we give it the chance to return and we refer it without hesitation.

My wife and I came to Marguerites for dinner. This is the example of fine dining. The service was excellent, and the food was so good. We were just looking to have a fancy but subtle night out and this was exactly the place. Beautiful night view overlooking the ocean, while enjoying delicious food. This night was amazing and I really enjoyed it.

This is by far one of my favourite spots in Montego Bay. The food and wine selection is simply lovely. But the service staff needs training in how to speak to get their points over in a warm manner. The door attendant is very transactional. Our reservations are always at 6pm…but each time we had to wait at the door since because the weren’t ready or finished setting up. We were offered each time to go to a room that seems to be a club, but it is very musty and dusty smelling so I refused that the second time round. Tip to management, if you’re opening for service at 6pm…you need to be read by 5:30pm. Your guests should NEVER wait until you decided to show up. Especially for your segment. But as I said..all things that are fixable. I don’t know who the Executive Chef is but he or she is incredible. We’ve had some hit or miss waiters as well. Some are very stuffy which leads me to believe they might have an outdated representation of fine luxury decorum. You would have had 5 stars but the service delivery needs work. Much love.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and booked a reservation here. I requested an outside table , but due to resent rain we were seated inside, with a view. Side note two other couples arrived a few minutes after my party and were seated outside. The menu choices were limited and I chose the stuffed chicken and mashed potatoes which was delicious, but not $38.00 dollars delicious. We ate most of the meal in the dark until my husband requested some sort of lighting for the table. The manager promptly brought some candles to our table. I guess you are paying essentially for the view, because I found it to be a little underwhelming.

Went there Sunday night for a friends birthday dinner. The food was really delicious and the staff were very pleasant. The view was awesome. The wait was a bit long to get my meal. No regrets. Will definitely be back.

The occasion was for a business meeting/dinner.. We got seated on the outskirt overlooking the Caribbean Sea the atmosphere was calm and relxaing.. The service was really great and professional. As for the food, it was fancy that's all.

Absolutely do not waste your money. The ONLY nice thing about this place is the view but it was not worth it for us because we had a nice view from the place we were staying. It is an upscale restaurant so the service was not bad, but the food was horrible. We didn’t like any of our food and we tasted 4 entrees because we ended up sending the first two back. It tastes very cheap and the quality is poor. Not sure why I expected better knowing that they are owned by Margaritaville. It is not worth the money at all. We agreed that we would have preferred KFC. My fiancé was so disappointed being as though it was his bday.

We took my husband here for his birthday. We had reservations at 8. Which we arrived early and got seated at 7:45pm. The ambiance is very nice. AND THATS IT! We waited 2 hours after we sat down for an appetizer. Another hour after that to receive our entree. We waited so long we were all falling asleep at the table. The food finally came and it was HORRIBLE. We had lobster with linguine medallions. I had about two very small pieces of lobster and the noodles taste like chalk in your mouth. This restaurant is horrible and I’m sorry my husband had to spend his birthday here. We had to call the manager and ask her why the food was taking so long and she said she didn’t know. We literally sat down at 7:45 and didn’t receive our food until 10:45. She gave us only 15% off. $400 gone down the drain because no one ate their food. Also the service is not great at all. The waiter didn’t even come to check on us. I can go on and on. Moral of the story don’t go here unless you wanna pay a lot of money just for the scenery.

Very unhappy with food and service we got. I ordered truffle and lobster risotto for appetizer, did not taste any truffle but it was only 21$ for dish that had 2 expensive ingredients so didn’t expect much, it tasted good just no truffles. For main course I was recommended red snapper by the waiter and was told it’s made in a coconut milk so it’s on the sweet side but when I took a bite of it it was so spicy that I couldn’t eat it. I unfortunately had to send it back and was asked if I would like anything else but at this point it has been more than hour and a half of wait until we got the main course so didn’t have time to wait for another one. We ordered 2 deserts which we were told were on the house since I had to send the main dish back but I was still charged for dish that I sent back. 50$ main dish is not equal to 2 deserts we got on the house and I ended up eating bread and butter for the dinner. If this restaurant is charging fine dining prices then they should also provide high end service. Also driver that was send by the restaurant as a complementary ride to the restaurant from the resort and back charged us total of 70$ for the ride when it was supposed to be complementary. We would leave a good tip to the driver but he didn’t leave it up to us he told us how much we have to pay.

Great food, great views of the ocean. Service was a little slow with the entrees, however the taste of the food made it worth it. A must try when in Jamaica!

Last night party of 12. Started great but then completely lost it when the kitchen was running behind. I don’t mind if that happens if the waiters are attentive but we got abandoned for 20 min at a time and finally had to get up and drag staff over multiple times. The food was excellent but ruined the experience, came out wildly separated…could have easily handled just unorganized.

The view is unbeatable! My grind and I had drinks and desserts here and we had a peaceful enjoyable time. However, it does have a romantic vibe. But my friend and I didn’t care and just dined in anyways. No regrets. Customer was great. The staff were very professional. Only think is, they have a small menu. Other than that… great place to dine.

I have to say as white tablecloth service and ambience goes, Marguerites is a 5 stars. However, at this price point the food is going to have to be exceptional, and it wasn't. Crab cakes were dry, and not made with chunks of crabmeat as you would expect but rather appeared to be either frozen product or canned, neither of which are acceptable at this price point. The scallops where smaller sized than one would expect, and also tasted like they were recently defrosted, additionally they were presented in a rather unimaginative pile in the centre of the plate with an ordinary garnish on top (cliché). Grouper was the saviour of the evening, but again presented in an unimaginative pile in the centre of the plate. Guys, wow me. I pay this kind of money to be wowed, anything else is a let down. 4 stars.

The food is salty, inedible even. The best thing in our group of 20 was the pasta. Service is deathly slow and overall this was a disappointing birthday experience. 1 star because the place looks good.

Service was fantastic, the food not so much. It took too long to reach our table; it was served cold and lacked flavor.

The staff was friendly courteous, helpful and attentive, we celebrated my daughters birthday. The food was good, well seasoned I had the lamb, delicious. After dinner we had a delicious cake. Also, there was no rush we took our time, only leaving to catch the souvenir shop open. If I had to make a suggestion it would be about lighting, Although the sunset was spectacular, it was dark by the time we ate and the deck overlooking the water where we ate was fairly dark; we improvised and used our phone flashlights. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would recommend this venue to other travelers.
