So this place is beautiful. The staff was so nice. The food was good. The vibe and the drinks was great! Their downfall is housekeeping. Our stuff went missing. I'm grateful that my important stuff was in the safe but even with that you can tell somebody was trying to get into it because when we put our pass code in it kept telling us to wait for the countdown. Our gifts that we bought from the gift shop was gone and some of my clothing items. I do not recommend this hotel unless you keep your stuff in your suitcase with a lock. Please be careful with this hotel.

I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. The number one thing I like from the beginning was the hospitality, the people who work there were great, and so helpful. The food was okay. Entertainment was great. The drinks and the bartenders were great, nice, and fun. The front desk, taxi driver, luggage guys, waitress, and am star was so polite and helpful. I look forward to coming back and visiting your country. Thanks for showing me a great time for my birthday.

There are much better hotels in Jamaica in my opinion. There are many things we did not like about our stay this resort. 1) Beach. It's very small , the area for swimming is also very small and shallow. The water is not clean from muddy bottom and lots of garbage in the water. This is probably the one of the worst beaches I've seen in Caribbean 2) Noise from the airplanes. During a day you will have an airplane taking off right above you every 5-10 minutes. Every second picture you take will have an airplane in it. 3) Overall resort condition- rooms and common areas are quite run-down and require at least basic repair, new bedding 4) The resort grounds are very small - there is absolutely nowhere to go except walking to Riu Montego Bay and back 5) The local vendors selling crafts and marijuana are always on the beach constantly harassing guests and resort security does absolutely nothing about this 6) All bar drinks are pretty bad quality for a 5* resort. The food was good in general with only big disappointment in this area is dinner on the beach. For 75USD pp we've had some of the worst food during our stay. I recommend skipping it So with all listed above and many other small issues we felt like we are in 3.5* or 4* resort. This wasn't a 5* experience

Ocean view was the high light of the trip. The food is nasty 🤮. The soda taste different super sweet, the alcohol drinks are unlimited but not good taste water down we never got tipsy. Steakhouse shrimp and steak was good make reservations soon as u arrive. The beds are hard did not sleep well at all. The pool day parties are awesome. The hotel itself is sticky hot all day inside the lobbies and hallways the only cold area is your room. The lights kept clicking off and on on the morning we were checking out thank God. Be very careful going to visit the sister resorts next to this resort we were stopped and harassed badly by security. He thought we snuck into the resort he followed us to our hotel and made us verify we are staying there. Front desk workers are trained to tell every person checking in they upgraded their room for tips which isn’t the truth. We got an ocean view with double beds instead what we booked one king bed.all of the rum taste funny and you can never get drunk not sure how they do that. There is a hut close to the beach that serve the best jerk chicken eat there most of the stay and u will be ok. Will not stay again

We stayed at Riu Reggae from Sunday-Saturday & the entire stay was one for the books! The staff is super friendly, the location is great, the grounds overall were kept pretty clean & the vibes were all there. As for additional feedback, I would recommended thoroughly cleaning the rooms after each guest because I left the resort with ants in my clothes & I was NOT happy about that! I noticed ants the 1st night & assumed that housekeeping would come and clean the room including table tops/dressers and they did not. As for the food, it was decent but not great. While there was plenty to eat, not all of it was tasty/appetizing; I found myself just eating something a few nights just so that I wouldn't be too hungry going into the evening & the next day. The highlight of my days however was the Jerk chicken because it was good & it helped me stay full most of the day. I was pretty disappointed that we only got to experience beef patties one day that whole week tho! We ended up just leaving the resort to go get beef patties instead. The views are beautiful at Riu Reggae & the entertainment was extremely fun! I also like that you can go to the sister properties for fun & lunch. If you want to have a great time & party, this is the resort for you! If you prefer a more quiet/reserved resort, I recommend Riu Palace. I can't wait to get back to Jamaican again!

The facilities were well maintained and my room was nice. The staff I encountered was wonderful and all worked very hard and had a smile , also the entertainment staff was amazing. However, there were some issues. Although emailed a discount, I was unable to use it, and not everything advertised was in my room but that didn't bother me as much as the food. The food is horrible and sub-standard. I saw the executive chef and there is no way he would understand what Jamaican cuisine is. I strongly believe that if you are going to offer food indigenous to the country you are in then you should hire people from that country and definitely consult with them. Even the "Western world" food was barely palatable. It was quite evident that the executive chef and general manager were quite chummy as they didn't seem to interact with any other staff but each other. They probably should have spent more time paying attention to feedback on the food. Come on Riu, you need to do better than that. It's even worse that you named it "reggae"

I really enjoyed this resort... 1. Food was amazing - hands down the best part of our trip, that jerk chicken bbq shack is a place I will never forget. 2. Beach was good - it's small but there's more than enough space, nice sandy bottom swimming spots. 3. Pools were clean - two pools with two swim up bars, I didn't use them much as I prefer the ocean when I'm at a place like this but they seemed great. 4. Rooms were nice - air conditioner has the potential to make the rooms uncomfortably cold, maid service was decent and my room came with a fully stocked bar. 5. Location was interesting - being 5 minutes from the airport, there were plans flying out sporadically. Some people may find it extremely annoying, I found it kinda neat. 6. Entertainment was great - we caught one show which was fantastic, the entertainment staff seemed very friendly. 7. Excursions/activities seemed good - we only went on one excursion but it felt safe and was relatively affordable. There was a ton of stuff for people to pick from. 8. Service was spotty - This was the only thing I picked up on. About 75% of the time the wait staff refused to even look at us.. they would serve us no problem but never said a word. We tipped after every meal and were never rude or unreasonable in any way, I chalked it up to the staff having to constantly deal with drunken agitators. The other 25% of the time service was good, polite and friendly. All in all, I would definitely recommend this resort, don't let the negative reviews sway you, if you have a bad time here for any reason other than being ill, you're probably just a jerk.

Riu Reggae was amazing!!! The food was great there is something for everyone - I really liked the buffet had a Jamaican section every time - and don't get me started on the Jerk hut on the beach - delicious!!! The pools and the beach were great. The staff - above and beyond is all I can say - amazing. Weather was perfect. We would be back in a heartbeat. Very clean resort as well they are always cleaning which is important to me. The entertainment was amazing we had a blast every night with the entertainment.

First time visiting this resort and everything was amazing and fun. Entertainment was the best as there was constantly an activity going on. The staff there are interactive, and have an amazing energy throughout the whole day. Food was also very good for an all inclusive resort, good variety!! Will definitely be coming back

This resort is a 4 star resort at best. The food and service was average, the staff here is hit or miss, some really friendly while some are not. Poor job of cleaning up around the beach and pools. If you’re staying here I’d recommend you go to RIU Montego Bay during the day (you are allowed) as there are more pools and it much cleaner, literally a 3 minute walk. The nightly entertainment was amazing, drinks were good and room was comfortable though the shower head broke but they were quick to fix. One more note, this hotel is directly under the flight path of departing aircraft.

Just left this hotel today after celebrating my birthday and I will absolutely be back! Their entertainment is top notch, the ocean view room is absolutely stunning, super close to the airport too. Only problem was the room wasn’t ready when we got there and had to switch rooms because the door key stopped working. Other than that 10/10 recommend

From the first moment of walking in the lobby I knew we made the right choice! The resort is on the small side, but that’s what made it so perfect. The personal attention you get from everyone on the staff makes you feel so special. Even being six hours early before check in, Omar set us up for a day of fun. The rooms are clean and housekeeping goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The bartenders were fun and would remember what drink you liked and kept them flowing. But, the absolute best part is the entertainment staff! Pumpkin, Crazy T, Tee Tee, Black Panther and crew you guys are the reason we will be back! Never miss a 3 o’clock show at the pool! The nighttime shows are spectacular and fun! I could go on and on about how much I loved this place, but I think if you need an all adult getaway..RIU Reggae is the best place to go.

The hospitality is very nice. Room are great. Food is good. Stage performances and entertainment is very good. Reason for 4 🌟 is because some of the drinks you want they can't make because of lack of liquors. What they have there is sufficient though. I can see myself going back there.

Me and my friends took a trip here maybe over a week ago. The resort itself is beautiful! The staff was very welcoming and nicely pressed in uniform. The food was very good. The open bar/bartenders were also nice. They had activities for all guess to enjoy without going off the resort. The performers did an awesome job!!! Also when booking this resort you have access to one of the other hotels and amenities as well. Taxi service was a bit pricey but we managed lol. Rooms came with a small bar and other non alcoholic beverages. The housekeepers did a great job as well. We wish it came with some type of tequila but we just went downstairs to get that at the bar lol we booked excursions through the Chukka App. We had so much fun doing the rafting and horseback riding. Overall I can say that it was worth the money and I’m looking forward to going back soon. So beautiful thank you

I have to say this was one of my best vacations. The staff is great. It’s super clean. Having access to other other resorts is a great deal too. We loved the water slides, it was a bit of a walk but we’ll worth it. Alcohol options were kind of a downside but it wasn’t their fault, they can’t help shortage problems. The food was pretty good. Normally I’m not a fan of buffets but the food tasted good so it made it easy. The jerk hut is amazing, I’m already missing that food. It would be nice if they had a better snack station though. The entertainment was 1000%. They made the entire stay. They are great at what they do, they work so hard, and you can tell they really enjoy it. I would definitely go again.

My main issue with this resort is the food. I have a DAIRY ALLERGY and while the buffet has signage for each dish with allergen symbols, they were incorrect at least 50% of the time. There was butter in everything and labeled as having no dairy! A sign that said the dish was chicken breast with no allergy symbols, was actually diced chicken in a creamy sauce. When asking the cook to confirm if it contained dairy, she said yes. I saw the head chef walking around and informed him his signage was incorrect and misleading and I didn't feel like I could trust any of the signs. He told me to just come find him at meals so he could tell me what was safe to eat.. rather than fix the problem and have proper correct signs! The desserts have no signs, and neither does the ice cream. It's one thing to not have any signs, then people will eat at their own risk. But to have signs to help people with food allergies, only for them to be incorrect, is irresponsible and playing with lives. It's a tragedy waiting to happen. Would never recommend this resort for this very reason.

The rooms are very spacious and the decor is very modern. We had an issue with finding a roach in our room when we brought this to their attention, they were very apologetic. We asked to moved rooms however, we were told there were no rooms available. They then quickly sent someone to spray our room and ensure there were not other critters. We did a dinner on the beach where it is advertised as private however there were two other couples. The food at the Italian restaurant was much better. The coordination of the dinner was not well thought out as the music from the stage clashed with the ambience music they put on for those having dinner on the beach. The entertainment was the best part of our trip. Bravo (from palace) and Annie (from reggae) made our experience in this hotel incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure we were included in the activities and were extremely personable. They definitely deserve a raise!!! They have a passion for hospitality and it shows!

I wasn't overly impressed with this resort. It seemed to just be an average resort. The Junior Deluxe Suite was the room I had, and it was nice. I had ocean front views which were good and bad. Good to wake up and have the ocean outside my window, however having guest right there as well laying on the beach provided no privacy. Food options were the least favorites. The breakfast and lunch options were the same daily. Lunch ended at like 330-400pm. Dinner options were more plentiful but the food was subpar. And there wasn't any late night food options. So no 24 hour food access nor room service. The resort seemed to shut down around 9 or 10. Don't expect any US known brands of alcohol at the resort. It's all Jamaican brands from Rum, Tequila, and Vodka. I didn't visit the other resort that you're given access too.

This resort was good-enough. I would no doubt, book with the Riu Montego Bay over this property. When we booked our vacation, we selected the ‘middle priced property’, thinking it would be of middle value, however we could have stayed at a recently updated property with great beach access, if we hadn’t used this strategy. The rooms have an damp odor and the beach is disappointing - very rocky and small. Among the other properties, this resort is the closest to the airport, so you will see/hear airplanes often during your stay, however this issue does occur at all of the Montego Bay Riu properties given the proximity to the airport. With this property, you are able to access some, but not all, of the other nearby Riu properties, so we were able to enjoy our time at the beach and pool at the Riu Montego Bay. We have stayed at other Riu properties and this property doesn’t seem meet the Riu standard.

The food and entertainment were absolutely amazing! My rating is based on 2 pivotal incidents. We booked an excursion through the resort that was scheduled to have us back at 3:30. We had to take our Covid test to return to the states at 4:45. We asked multiple time if she was sure we would be back by 3:30 BEFORE we booked the excursion. The bus ride to the excursion was an hour and once we were already there, we were told we wouldn’t be back until 5pm. We got back at 6pm and had to pay for our complementary Covid test. That same evening, some of my wife’s items went missing from our room. We were only out of the room for dinner and the evening entertainment so from about 8-11. We spoke with security at about 7am and asked for video of the floor, they said it was unavailable. We then asked for the record of door access which they did provide, however, no access was recorded AFTER 7pm. So it didn’t get either of us coming back in either time, nor whoever bought the towels we requested (because they were unavailable at the time the room was serviced). They said it was my wife’s fault for not putting everything we owned in tiny closet safe.

It was my first Trip here upon arrival they told me that double beds mean two guest so i was given one bed and told they would bring another bed (which they never brought) food was taste wise wasn’t pleased at all looks wise everything seems to be amazing after restaurants close you STUCK!!! Eating popcorn nachos and dip ham and cheese and hots dogs which all for some reason is cold plain and no taste no exaggeration food taste wise was very horrible service drinks and scenery is really nice could drink as much do to not being able to eat so there really no unlimited drinks because you can’t eat starved the entire time i was here unless i left the resort if you are my color (black)food taste wise this isn’t the spot sadly .

This was the first time I went to an all-inclusive and I was absolutely not disappointed. Everything was perfect, the diversity of restaurants, the flavor of the dishes, all the employees (at the reception, entertainment, catering, cleaning and ect...) Special Mention: Garvin!! and the entertainment crew !!! White party and all the nights shows : wow Also do not hesitate to do activities outside the resort, everything is safe and well supervised by the guides. We were 5 girls and we had never been afraid. I highly recommend this hotel/resort to everyone!!

This hotel is a party hotel with a sister resort that you have access to. They have Clubs, beaches, pool bars and multiple pools. Enjoyed the steak at the Italian restaurant. Great espresso. Find Winston the bartender because he is great. Dancers were amazing. Great place to escape to and have some fun and relaxation.

Amazing experience! The hotel was super clean and very accommodating. The staff members were very personable and tried their best to make connections and make sure you were having a good time. The night life was a blast! they put on great shows through the week and make you feel included.

We were greeted with shots and champagne at check in and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We only got to eat at the buffet so I can't really say much about the variety of food there. Each pool area had a different vibe so we looked for every entertainment we could get.

Ok let’s get into it from the time I stepped foot on this property til the time I checked out I absolutely loved 🥰 my stay and the staff is the best they treated me so good some remembered us by name and face. I was there celebrating my daughter’s 25th birthday and because they heard her calling me mom some of them remembered me by mom and started calling me mom the rooms were very nice cozy and clean. The buffet was a hit or miss sometimes, but I’m a person they don’t like trying new foods But the steakhouse oh my God it was absolutely amazing too. It’s not anything that I can say bad about my experience at reggae I can definitely say I’ll be back Easter break with more of my family. Thank you all for my lovely visit.

My wife and I had a blast at the Riu Reggae. The bartenders, specifically Felicia were amazing! I couldn’t say better things about the great service you receive. The entertainment team was VERY GOOD! They know how to get everyone engaged and having a good time. The evening entertainment was great as well. If you’re looking for a party, this is the place to be. If you’re a “Karen” and want piece and quiet, don’t come here! You can ruin it for everyone else by trying to keep everyone quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a great lively time!

The Fabulous Nikki checked us in and her energy was perfect for a front desk representative. We had a issue one day and the guy at the front desk with the pretty eyes was also phenomenal but I hate that I can't remember his name. The 2 guys that carried our bags were very professional. Bartenders at every point were friendly and every drink was mixed properly and tasted delicious. The ocean front view was breathtaking and worth the cost. Hands down a 10/10 experience. Will definitely return and tell my friends.

Such an amazing hotel honestly the staff make the experience! The entertainment crew are so pleasant especially black panther really welcoming and can have a laugh! I just say if you go to riu reggae make sure you go to Winston bar!!! He is absolutely amazing he made my experience, the drinks were flowing tasted amazing and could have a good laugh, honestly 10/10. My little sister went as well he made her experience as well such a wonderful bartender and he can do amazing tricks. I will definitely be coming back and it’s all down to the wonderful staff. The food was also great, as a vegetarian there was a wide selection and rooms really nice and clean!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and didn’t have to wait a long time for check in. The aesthetics were very nice and they cleaned the room and left little inspirational notes along with a different towel folding design on the bed each day. There was always something to do there throughout the day such as games, karaoke, etc! The parties ( neon, foam, and headset) were all bomb!!! The food was amazing! 10/10 ⭐️s. Will definitely recommend this to everyone.

We are thoroughly enjoying our time here at the RIU reggae, all the staff are amazing and friendly, our room is spotless and comfortable. We have eaten at the steakhouse and Italian both were excellent again the staff were so attentive. We brought our own snorkel's and saw lots of beautiful fish. I honestly cannot find fault with anything about this place.

Riu Reggae was not a Resort that I would visit again. Upon entering the resort, there's no curb appeal. It is in need of a paint job. The service and entertainment is great. So please tip them because they are not paid fairly. The employees are the best influence on the property; except for their GM of course. The food is not what I expected; however, our last few nights the chef on the Jamaican selection was very good. My husband and friends had to request for that chef to remain in that section for continuity. You go to Jamaica to to eat authentic Jamaican food. We stayed for 10 nights and was quite familiar with the resort and people. If you're looking for just fun, then this may be the place for you. However, if you are of a certain style and class, then I would choose another resort. The beach is not that clear in some areas due to the seaweed and it maybe slippery. However, you can go to the Riu Montego Bay side to enjoy their clear blue waters. This was also a bit crazy to me. They put the exclusive resort in the middle of the two resorts that the guest is allowed to visit. For example: Riu Reggae can visit Riu Montego Bay but not Riu Palace. However, Riu Palace is in the middle. We had mildew in our room and also found 2 roaches in the room. So yo have to be careful you bring bugs home. They did move us to another room that was better. Another thing don't get injured on the property, they are not responsible.

This hotel was clean and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and the bartenders actually know there stuff. Akeem who works by the pool was friendly and is very creative with his mixes. It’s not too noisy but the nightly entertainment was good. The gym is well equipped too. Overall great stay for some rest and relaxation. 9/10 Riu never usually disappoints.

Hotel is beautiful. It is connected to 3 other RIUs. Food was good. Beverages were fine. Staff was nice and accommodating on some aspects, but slow to respond with others. I was expecting a King bed. Received a double in my room. By the time they realized the error, my fiance and I were already tired and settled in our room. Otherwise, great trip overall.

We had such a brilliant time at RIU Reggae, Montego Bay. The people of Jamaica are so fun-loving and happy. They made us feel so happy to be here. Highlights of the resort were the incredible staff. Special shout-out to our favourite bartender, Latoya who first received us, took care of the whole week and sent us off with her great energy and spirits! The entertainment staff were the best we have experienced! So lively and engaging. Incredibly talented! World-class dancing! Would highly recommend and return!

This is an amazing resort. My friends and I stayed here for 5 days to celebrate a bachelor party and we had an amazing experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Daily entertainment is good. Food was decent with a variety of options. The other guests were also nice. Great place if you want to relax and/or interact with others. Highly recommend!

Riu Reggae was great, we went as a couple and I think there's something for everyone here to enjoy, whether you come to party or to chill. All Hotel staff were constantly working hard to ensure the hotel was clean and tidy from the early hours in the morning, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and nice. We had access to Riu Montego Bay too so were able to enjoy the entertainment set up for both hotels. Food was great, no complaints at all. We found it was better to eat early not long after food was ready but regardless no complaints. Lots of choices available but we were drawn to Caribbean most days. Kulinarium restaurant was also fantastic. Entertainment brilliant. Gift shop was overpriced on some items so would recommend leaving the hotel to go to supermarket over the road if you did want some extra snacks or anything. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return and recommend to others.
