I
will
preface
this
by
saying
my
expectations
for
service
among
other
things
were
high.
The
property,
and
the
quality
of
detail
of
groundskeeping
of
the
400
acres
is
impeccable
and
deserving
of
more
than
just
5
stars.
My
family
and
I
stayed
dispersed
among
the
villas
and
accommodations
to
move
around
the
compound
were
easy
through
use
of
the
golf
carts
as
well
as
the
exceptionally
cute
bicycles
for
adults
and
children
alike.
The
issues
we
encountered
throughout
our
stay
was
not
property
or
food
related,
it
all
boiled
down
to
rude
and
disrespectful
service
by
a
few
staff.
If
it
weren’t
for
a
few
rude,
inattentive,
and
disrespectful
staff,
service
would
be
rated
4.
The
mornings/afternoons/evenings
we
dined
at
Eclipse
and
Hayward
were
met
with
very
slow
service,
as
well
as
inattentive
staff.
The
times
we
dined
were
not
overtly
busy.
There
weren’t
an
abundance
of
other
guests
dining
during
the
times
so
we
never
expected
long
wait
times
by
staff
to
take
orders,
much
less
the
time
in
which
it
took
for
appetizers
and
full
meals
to
arrive.
Dining
for
breakfast
in
Hayward
was
a
mix
between
getting
seated
quickly
with
a
beautiful
view,
but
the
waiter
left
us
unattended
without
follow
up
on
orders
for
30-40
min
after
our
arrival.
He
made
a
point
to
apologize
due
to
his
forgetfulness.
In
regards
to
downright
rude
and
disrespectful
staff
members….
We
are
returning
to
our
home
country,
many
of
us
born
and
raised
in
Jamaica,
but
upon
requesting
any
services
throughout
our
stay,
when
many
of
us
were
inconvenienced,
we
were
not
or
shown
the
respect
as
other
guests
on
the
property,
there
was
certainly
a
lack
in
basic
respect.
A
lot
of
us
felt
that
some
staff
members
resented
our
presence
at
the
hotel
as
fellow
Jamaicans.
A
group
of
friends
stayed
in
one
villa,
while
another
set
of
family/friends
stayed
in
others.
One
group
detailed
amongst
ourselves
that
they
felt
they
were
imposing
on
the
house
of
the
assigned
butler/maid.
They
felt
as
well
that
their
particular
butler
spoke
to
them
and
addressed
them
as
children
who
needed
scolding.
No
one
needs
this
type
of
disrespected
when
staying
anywhere,
not
just
Half
Moon.
Another
example
of
rude/disrespectful
service…
in
our
Villa,
there
was
at
least
6
or
7
of
us
who
returned
to
our
Villa
at
9:30pm
one
night
to
find
that
our
key
card,
none
of
our
key
cards,
were
able
to
open
the
front
door.
I
politely
called
guest
services
and
explained
the
situation
and
they
in
turn
responded
quickly
by
sending
a
staff
member
with
new
cards
to
assist.
When
he
arrived,
he
did
not
greet
us,
he
didn’t
apologize
for
the
inconvenience.
He
made
the
assumption
that
we
were
all
lying
about
the
key
cards.
He
briskly
walked
into
the
Villa,
and
attempted
to
open
the
various
room
doors
with
the
keys
we
initially
had.
He
noted
they
did
not
work
and
instead
of
politely
asking
each
of
us
to
give
him
the
non-working
cards,
he
rudely
dictated
in
patois
“gimme
the
cards
dem”
and
walked
out
without
another
word.
It
is
atrocious
for
anyone,
paying
guests,
to
be
treated
with
rude
and
disrespectful
behavior
from
staff
of
such
a
highly
sought
after
hotel.
These
rude
staff
members
are
weeds
that
need
to
be
plucked
from
the
beautiful
garden
of
Half
Moon.
One
thing
worth
noting
as
well
is
that
the
Villas
could
use
some
attention
in
terms
of
an
upgrade
in
the
bathrooms/bedrooms.
