Our trip was fabulous. The beaches were breathtaking. Our room was wonderful and we wanted for nothing. I liked the variety of restaurants and food. Our favorite spot was the private island. It was our first time there and we are ready to go back.

Excellent service, polite people even with immature college age guests, who were rude to the staff. Which I wanted to see him put in back into proper respectable behavior. Food drinks and accommodation are extremely awesome.

We stayed 7-13-23/7-21-23 in a Club level room (no butler). WOW!!! Hubby & I both shed a tear when leaving. The beach and swimming area are perfect. The main pool was a little small & realllllly warm. This didn't take away from our experience though. We played organized volleyball both in the ocean and the pool and made lots of friends. We had a blast participating in the Couples Quiz Show at the Almond Terrace. The most impressive thing to us about this resort wasn't the restaurants (Bombay, Indian cuisine was our fav.), or all the events you could do, but it was the people who worked there. We felt guilty not tipping the employees personally, because the service everywhere at this resort is impeccable. Some well deserved shout outs go out to Chris - head bartender at the Mariner Seaside Grill. Chevel & Kadian at Royal Thai (Yummm), Shamar - Activities at the pool and on stage. You rock Shamar! and a HUGE awesome thank you to our dive instructor Dwayne. Memories were made and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I went for our honeymoon! We were welcomed with rose petals, champagne and a room service breakfast. Sandals royal Carribean is luxurious and very beautiful! However, when we booked online, we weren’t informed two pools and two of the buildings with more rooms would be shut down due to construction indefinitely. Beware of that when booking with sandals. Sandals for excursions charges 100-200 more for transporting to excursions. This resort is very small compared to MoBay. It was a great amenity to be able to take the sandals shuttle over to Sandals Montego Bay(10 minute ride) to realize how much bigger it was as we went to have dinner and hang by the pools/beach a few times . We thoroughly enjoyed it over there, it’s nicer, cleaner and they have more restaurants and pools. We were told all gratuity was Included but we still brought 350 American money for the 8 days we were there. We should’ve brought more. The employees at the resort work so dang hard and are nice to every person they engage with or even walk by. We had to “sneak” tips to our employees as most were scared to take tips to not get in trouble. Our (non sandals) driver that took us to cinnamon hill golf course to golf a round said all the resorts are good but sandals is the only one that doesn’t allow you to tip the employees and that’s the only reason he isn’t a huge fan of it. I couldn’t agree more. The room we booked online is not the room we got. It was a pretty nice room. Great AC for the 110 degree daily temps(thank god for the beach and pools). We had a soaking tranquility tub on our balcony which was great but the water doesn’t get cold for it being a bathtub. The ice machine by our building was broke the entire week so had to pay a bellboy to bring us buckets of ice for our drinks. The room we stayed in could have used more dusting and vacuuming when we got there but I’m a clean freak so I don’t miss anything. We had ants all over our bathroom sink and ceiling and no matter how much they “sprayed” , they didn’t go away. Other people we met throughout the week and have stayed at sandals before said this is the “least clean” sandals in Jamaica out of all the ones they stayed in. Shawayne, Dre, Alicia and Gavin always went above and beyond for us all week and they left a lasting impression on our stay there. We spent all week by the swim up pool and beach . It would’ve been awesome to have music playing during the day at the pool or other bars otherwise it’s dead silent unless volleyball or trivia is going on. We would go to another sandals someday but probably not this one and we will keep tipping the hard workers that go above and beyond for their guests.

The location was absolutely stunning. The facility was not. If you are thinking of going to Sandals Jamaica- do not do Royal Caribbean- the Montego Bay location is renovated, bigger and much much more deluxe. The room was moldy, with a dripping AC unit. The bathtub was peeling. The food was EXTREMELY hit or miss. The Indian place very good, and almost everything else generic frozen food. Drinks were mediocre with a poor selection. The restaurants at the Montego Bay location (which is accessible via shuttle) were the same way, with the Sushi being great and the Italian being awful. There was a highly regarded steak house, but despite putting in a reservation the night before, we were not able to get in. We had the “butler service” included, which was a total bust. They didn’t really do much other than save you a chair at the beach. The pool was cloudy the whole trip, so we didn’t try the swim up bar. Was it urine or just poor pool management? The entire staff seemed reluctant to help and more often than not got our orders wrong. To be fair the beach and view were something to see, but not at the cost for the overall experience. I was totally shocked to see this rated as a “5 star experience” Try somewhere else.

I’m giving two stars because the room was nice and clean. First, we did not get the room we paid for. Secondly, the food was mediocre. Breakfast subpar. Thai restaurant was nasty! The pub food was ok. the jerk shack was pretty good. Many of the women (not all) workers were very unwelcoming and seemed to have attitudes. All the restaurants close at 9 pm which is extremely early for an adult resort. They did not recognize my birthday despite me requesting it many times. The beach is non existent, so if you’re looking forward to a beach, book elsewhere. Lastly and the most disturbing part….. I had excursions booked almost everyday of my stay (it was my birthday). I left my wallet in my purse, in my room the entire trip. All of my credit cards were charged hundreds of dollars in fraudulent charges. Housekeeping or someone that had access to my room either scanned my card numbers or wrote down my card information while I was gone on excursions. The resort did NOTHING about it. I had planned to return but I will not!

My husband and I stayed here recently and LOVED it. The resort was clean, the staff was amazing. Kevin (aka Big Bird) at the Pub went above to make us comfortable and made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu. Our server, Rochelle, at the pizzeria was the best!! Always had a smile. The food was fantastic, the entertainment was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the beach all day and just relaxing. My husband said you need more stars for Royal Caribbean as they deserve 10 stars.

We recently stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean for our baby moon, hoping to have a luxurious experience before the arrival of our little one. Unfortunately, our experience at this resort did not live up to our expectations. This will be our first and last stay at a Sandals. We paid a premium rate of $1,250 per night, but the overall experience was far from what you'd expect for that price. Upon arrival, we had to wait 40 minutes for our butler to escort us to our room. To make matters worse, our luggage took an additional hour and a half to be delivered, despite our offer to carry it ourselves. The resort itself feels dated, with uncomfortable pool chairs and gym equipment that hasn't been updated in decades. Tennis is advertised on the website, but we had to take a shuttle to the sister resort and fend for ourselves when it came to finding racquets and balls. Our initial room was a disappointment, resembling a 2-star hotel rather than the 5-star luxury we had anticipated. The room was outdated, lacked a bug screen in the bathroom, and offered limited and uncomfortable seating. The bed was so uncomfortable that we barely slept the first night. Although we had requested a pregnancy pillow, it was initially unavailable but was eventually provided. After a dismal first night, we spoke with a manager who tried to pass off the outdated room as "old world charm." We were eventually relocated to a more modern room, but it still did not justify the price we paid. The food at the resort was unimpressive, and while the presentation was good, the quality was lacking. The drinks were overly sugary and lacked natural ingredients. Additionally, there was a disturbing domestic dispute on a balcony near the pool on our last day, and it took 30 minutes before another guest notified the staff to intervene. While the staff, including our butlers, were friendly and attentive, the level of service was not on par with other luxury resorts in the same price range. It's hard to understand how this resort receives such high reviews when our experience was so far below the standards of other luxury hotels like the Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, or Park Hyatt. We have stayed at better all-inclusive resorts in Cancun for a fraction of the price. In summary, our baby moon at Sandals Royal Caribbean was a major letdown. For the price we paid, we expected a luxurious and memorable experience, but we were left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. We cannot recommend this resort to others looking for a truly luxurious getaway.

This is overall a great resort. It was our second stay here, and we visited an additional two times when staying at Montego Bay. Butler service was medicore at best. Only one Butler was spot on, the others, not at all. Some employees will walk by you and not even make eye contact, even when you give a "Good Morning" greeting. Red Lane Spa was fabulous. The food was fabulous. The private transfer and excursions were fabulous. Our first time with Butlers, and we expected a whole lot more then a phone that is not always answered. I hope our experience was an isolated incident. We were prepared to tip our butlers graciously, but being there were some days we did not have one at all, it was not a deep pocket day for more than one of them. I'm sure we will return, as Jamaica is a wonderful island, with great people, and fabulous fellow guests. However, we are going to take a break from Sandals for a bit.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to have a stress free, safe travel from the moment we stepped off the plane. The resort is beautiful, clean but rooms are slightly dated. Our room had no issues at all and made for a very comfortable stay. The beaches, pools, tours, restaurants and activities were wonderful. Our butlers Andre and Phillips took care of us so well and made us feel like family! We enjoyed our time in and outside the resort and highly recommend you experiencing the beautiful island!!!

I start by saying that I stayed with a group of 12 for 5 days and not all shared my experience. There was consensus among all on a few things such as the proximity to the airport being both a plus (short shuttle ride) and a minus (noise from aircraft overhead). There was also consensus on the food being less than authentic for a Jamaican experience, and considered it overall to be average or just above. I personally found the service to be good. The friendly staff went above and beyond to entertain and make us feel welcomed. The option to stay at one and play at 2 was great, and other than one less than pleasant shuttle driver, we found that experience a tremendous plus. The drinks were strong and the atmosphere relaxed. The Royal Caribbean property itself though needs a revamp. Our room was subpar and not what I expected from a Sandals resort. The bathroom looked old and worn, the toilet wobbled on the floor and required you to jiggle the handle, and our room a/c leaked to the point where we were greeted with large puddles on the floor on multiple occasions. We were made aware that a renovation is coming, and some of the buildings have had renovations already, but until then, be aware that there may be rooms that are less than stellar. We had a great time at the resort, the staff certainly made up for the shortcomings, but Royal Caribbean would not be the one I'd revisit. The Montego Bay resort was much fresher and felt more lively and fun.

We had a wonderful experience at Sandals Royal Carribean in Montego Bay, Jamaica! It was our very first international vacation and all-inclusive resort... and it more than exceeded our expectation! The staff were fantastic, location was incredible, room was amazing, and amenities were 5-star. We really enjoyed the private island and spent most of our time there (2-minute complementary boat ride). The pool and swim up bar and access to the beach were a selling point. The only thing that didn't quite live up to our expectation was the food. It was delicious and many choices available throughout the day, but it just didn't meet my 5-star expectation. It was still amazing! All in all... we would definitely book at this Sandals Resort again!

Sandals Royal Caribbean has some of the most amazing and accommodating staff! Abigail made sure our room was impeccable all week. Devon was a delight during our dining experience at the Thai Restaurant. He had excellent suggestions and was an excellent host. We ventured to Sandals Montego Bay for dinner at Butch’s and had the most wonderful experience thanks to our server Phillip. He really made the experience special! Stacey-Ann was a delight at the pool as always. We’ve come to love seeing her smiling face. To round out the nods our butler team of Roy and Cooper crushed it and made it one of the best weeks. We never wanted for anything. One call and our worries melted away. Thanks to all! Til’ next time 💚💛

Spent a week here and loved it! The staff are super upbeat, helpful, and really are the heart of this resort. Travis was our bartender at the pub three nights in a row, and is absolutely phenomenal. He knows how to make people laugh, provides great service, and is genuinely a friendly person. Candice was another one that stood out while we were getting out snorkeling gear - super friendly, helpful, and also able to make us laugh. I think the fact that staff here are able to work and enjoy what they're doing says a lot - will definitely be back!

My wife and I just returned from a 7 day trip the Sandals Royal Caribbean and it is exactly what we were wanting. Overall our experience was amazing. The staff is so friendly and everyone was so helpful from the time that we arrived until the time that we checked out. I could name names of the ones that go above and beyond but it was really so many. If you are looking for a low profile laid back experience this is your place. We stayed in a club level suite but you would have thought that we had the best room on the property. The food was good at most every place we tried. Their was really nothing that we wished they would change. If you are more into the party scene then their are shuttles that run on the hour to Montego Bay that is a short 10 min ride away. Then you can come back to the peace and quite at Royal Caribbean and relax. We were not at all disappointed. We rebooked for another resort while on property to take the kids next year. Can’t wait for the whole family to experience Sandals next year.

Absolutely loved this resort. My husband and I stayed in the Romeo & Juliet Butler Suite. The room, though dated, was still beautiful and very comfortable (we were only in there long enough to sleep anyway). The resort was not so big that you could lose yourself and the amount of guest prevented overcrowding. There are plenty of activities at the resort and the staff even have competitions through the day which were so much fun. Nightly entertainment was amazing as well. All of the restaurants were amazing and having the butler service was worth not having to worry about making reservations, trying to get chairs on the beach or by the pool. Our butlers were Gay-Ann and Andre and we would definitely request them again. They went above and beyond for us and made our visit so much more special. Sandals Montego Bay is a short drive away via shuttle they provide. The staff was amazing from landscapers, housekeeping and on up to management. The landscaping is absolutely stunning throughout the entire resort.

This was our first trip to Sandals Royal Caribbean and our first stay at a Sandals in 25 years. It did not disappoint. Everything was fantastic. If you can afford the upgrade to a butler-level room, I highly recommend it. The room itself was wonderful. Our butlers took care of everything - dinner reservations, champagne in the room, beach chairs by the water with coolers, everything - and they were just a phone call away (they give you a cell phone to contact them). Dinners at the French and Indian restaurants were excellent. The Italian restaurant was just average, but serviceable. Breakfasts - both in the room and at the buffet - were also very good. We won't wait another 25 years to return!

Wonderful experience! We stayed for 5 days and had a great time. From arriving at the airport through to the flight home they make sure you are comfortable and relaxing. The room was amazing and cleaned daily and always had a stocked minibar. Definitely recommend taking the tour early in your trip to get to see the location for all the services available and maximize your relaxing.

Resort is smaller than some others but very enjoyable. Private island is so peaceful. Boat to it runs every several minutes. Will definitely go back some day. Every one should experience Sandals. If you do, you WILL go again.

My husband and I just returned from Royal Caribbean a few days ago. I have to give my compliments to our butlers Ian and Nicole who were very attentive and thoughtful. The entertainment was excellent and the food was great. However on our first night there we had no hot water and the water pressure was really low. Maintenance was unable to fix the problem and told us that the engineer would need to evaluate the situation the following day. Well I expected that the issue would have been addressed first thing the following morning but it wasn't. When I called to ask when the problem would be fixed no one had been told that we had no hot water. Maintenance finally figured out that a pipe was broken and the water had to be turned off in order to complete the repair. I could have never imagined that we would spend that much money for a vacation and have to deal with such a problem. During this time we were never offered an apology from management or even an offer to change rooms. Before we left the resort I asked to speak to someone from management who then apologized for the situation and offered us 15000 points for the inconvenience. An apology the day the incident occurred would have meant a lot more than an apology that I had to ask for. We definitely will not be returning to the Royal Caribbean and as for those promised points, we're still waiting on them.

We are currently on property for 7 days, on day 4. The resort overall is relaxing. The bar in the room is well stocked, with everything but tequila. The drinks at the bars are bland. We have been quite disappointed in the food, with the exception of the breakfast buffet. Today it rained and there was no where to get lunch other than room service with over an hour + wait. The rooms are nice, however somewhat dated. The whirlpool bathtub jets are broken and the tub has moldy grout. The hot tubs by the pools are lukewarm at best. The pools are nice. We have enjoyed the water sports, snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Do t think I would stay here again. Maybe would try another Sandals resort.

My husband and I had never stayed at a Sandals before this trip, but after this trip we are planning another Sandals vacation next year. Everyone we met was very kind an hospitable. The food was excellent, they have a wonderful breakfast buffet, and they always make sure you have a drink in your hand. When our flight with many others was cancelled and were forced to spend another night in Jamaica, Sandals made sure all of its guests could return to their resort and there would be a room for them. We were so lucky that Sandals prepared for something like this. My only negative was that when we booked our suite in came with private transportation to and from the airport, when we did not receive that when inquired about it at check in, they said they would make sure we had in on the way back. We had to ask about this 3 different times before they told us that our suite used to include private transportation but since booking they changed it. Even though it was on our paperwork they did not want to honor it for us. We had to get our travel agent involved in order to get something we initially paid for. We received private transportation from the resort to the airport. I do feel they still should have compensated us for not receiving the private transportation from the airport to the hotel but they did not.

First Time with the wife. The resort is beautiful, the staff are awesome and great, in fact they were phenomenal! Main party pool with swim up bar and if you wanted a more relax and subdued atmosphere, then you could relax at your pool by your room with a hot tub jacuzzi with its own bar. There was great entertainment at night and at the main pool or on the beach. Again a great time! The resort was clean and fresh, everything you would want out of an all exclusive resort. I would recommend Sandals Royal Caribbean to anyone who would ask. World Class Resort!

The Resort was Amazing! Their was always something to do and the entertainment was awesome! Our room was clean and always serviced on time..... anything we asked for, or needed, was provided very quickly! The staff was always around when we needed them, always asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything, very polite Staff! Our personnel experience was Awesome.... If you have the opportunity to visit Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Spa, Montego Bay, please do so....... You won't regret it!

Very clean and I saw workers constantly cleaning. Masks required which is great! Great room service food. The food at the restaurants are small but taste great! Workers are very friendly and nice. Side note: the workers aren't allowed to take tips, which is nice compared to the other resort I stayed at where the workers sometimes would not leave due to expecting a tip for subpar service. To me, this freed me to secretly tip those that truly deserved it. Not to mention you pay so much to be there, tipping shouldn't be required.

Every single detail of our wedding and honeymoon trip was completely perfect. We were blown away with the incredible quality of the service, the food, the room (both view and amenities), and the atmosphere. The Club Sandals concierges were extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable, and they took care of every single thing we needed and answered every question we had (often before we even had a chance to ask it). Our wedding team helped us have the easiest, most stress-free, perfect, beautiful ceremony and reception. The spa and salon team were excellent as well, and they helped pamper us and make us feel like our best selves on our wedding day. All of the staff - and I mean every single person we encountered - were friendly, helpful, and fun. The food was always delicious and exactly what you'd hope for at a 5-star establishment. The drinks were well crafted, and they had an excellent assortment of different cocktails you could choose from (or could make you anything else you asked for). They also have a decent variety for folks who don't drink, including O'Douls at the pub and non-alcoholic sparkling wine. We were really hoping we would feel like we got a good value for the price we paid (since Sandals is definitely on the top end for cost), and we absolutely did. I can't recommend them highly enough! One note - at this location, you get access to the Montego Bay Sandals, which is just a few miles up the road (a 5-10 minute shuttle ride, which they provide periodically throughout the day). We loved this feature, as it opened up a half dozen or so more restaurant options, more beachfront, and more entertainment. We liked being able to visit but then go back to Royal Caribbean, as it's smaller, quieter, and more intimate than Montego Bay.

Food was amazing. Anna Marie and our photographer for our wedding made sure every detail was perfect. We got married with just my husband and myself and they still made everything feel special. I will never do any resort besides Sandals again from my experience. The bartenders had so much fun at their job and it made me happy to be there. Such a beautiful resort. I walked in the room and it took my breath away. They made traveling back to the states very simple. Thank you!

  • 5Jake V. 1 year ago
Seemed like a nice resort. We only visited it as we were staying at Montego Bay, but the island pool and swim up bar were awesome. The ferry to the island came frequently and there was very little wait. We also ate at the French restaurant and the food was excellent. And of course the service was impeccable as can be expected at any Sandals resort.

  • 3Pamela D. 1 year ago
The resort was nice. They have an issue with cats that was very unnerving. You couldn't eat on the beach or your 1st floor balcony without the cats running up to you. I know this comes from the customers but we weren't even warned that it may be an issue. We ordered from the room service menu and it took over 2 hours to get our food after complaining a few times. The person that delivered didn't day we apologize or anything.I feel that for the money we paid to stay at a Sandals resort it was not worth it.. AT ALL!! We had an awesome Butler staff. JACK and Melissa were great. I don't think I would use this resort again. Also, the entertainment was good. Crystal Champagne and Peanut were top notch
