3 stars because the location is good. Party of two arrived at 9:30pm on Sunday as it said in Google that they closed at midnight. The hostess tells us to wait for a table, and after a 30-minute wait, which we spent enjoying the open air terrace, we were seated at the bar. We are told by the bartender that we had to order super quick "because the kitchen was about to close." We quickly ordered dumplings, fritters, tacos, a salad, and a pizza. After about 30 more minutes of no food, I asked the bartender, and he stated the kitchen was running behind. I suggested bringing the items as they come out from the kitchen instead of waiting for all to be ready. 20 minutes later, an order of tacos and cold, chewy "fritters" arrived that I ate because we were literally starving. 20 minutes later, the salad showed up with the dumplings. Salad was a good portion and very tasty. 30 minutes later after no pizza we asked for the check. Three stars for ocean setting and a good salad. The place is an overrated, tourist trap.

The food was beautiful but be careful cause the prices aren't right in the books and it come up to more then $3000 jmd extra than was on the book. The cocktails was watered down and probably barely any alcohol in them. Beautiful place though and food was lovely. Just the price cost going up without you being I formed first is ridiculous, they need to change the prices if the food and the drinks in the books. 1 drink I brought said $3.35 us dollar but they said price was wrong in book and it was actually $7 us dollar

I love pier 1 because you're outside the water is on both sides of you and every view is a sea view. The food is top notch and I recommend it all. It's just takes a little while for the food to be served. So if you are in a rush rethink your choice. Overall everything else is amazing about this place and price is very very good. It is inexpensive.

Visited Pier One for the first time..I have always heard good things about it and I was like I definitely have to go. The food was great and service was exceptional. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. I went on Monday night so their wasn't much happening. Will definitely go back on the fun nights!!!

Very nice atmosphere on the water. The food and prices are great! I loved the rum punch and the drunken fish with rice and peas. The calamari was okay. I was just disappointed in the customer service. We called and asked about free transportation to the restaurant. This was due to a store owner recommending the place and stating it's free transportation. So, we called and asked and the woman stated yes it's free and I just gotta tell them the time we want to get picked up. I told her I would call back once I asked my man. Called back and a guy answered. He gave a number for the "free" transportation. We arrived and the man asked for 50 dollars round trip. For a 6min drive that was supposed to be free. It was such a mess. The woman said no reservation is needed but when we get there they asked for reservation. That was a huge disappointment

I’ve been dining at Pier 1 for years and I love the ambiance (5 min drive from the airport). Whether for a date night when we stay in Montego bay or lunch when in the area. The ocean view is spectacular and there’s always music playing in the background. The staff is always wonderful! Big up to Akeem and Stacey regarding great hospitality, during our last visit. In the past, I enjoyed the seafood Alfredo and my husband enjoyed the steamed fish. Lately, I would rate the food as being around 3-3.5, as there is room for improvement (taste/portion). Also, expect a bit of a wait, once you order your food, so if you don’t really have some leisure time, you’ve been warned. Overall, I will continue to visit this lovely establishment!

So maybe we had bad luck but they didn't have any ingredients for our drinks and food; example lime, ginger, mint. Also you have to schedule a good table and there wifi didn't work. The food tasted awful. Service was great but I'm not going again.

What a lovely little spot, right on the ocean!! Our group was all pleased with our food. Our waitress was lovely and super smiley, and very friendly overall. The view was pretty amazing. Definitely will recommend others to come and check it out!!!

Nice restaurant located right on the water. The views are spectacular during the day and night. The drinks were good. The food was ok but could be better. You want to make reservations if you go on the weekend to be safe cause it gets busy. Worth checking the after party on Fridays too.

Ive been to Pier One for both dinner and for the club (many times). We went for dinner one night. The oxtails were great. We also enjoyed the appetizers and drinks... a lot. The shrimp tacos and the jerk chicken pasta were very delicious as well. They also have some pretty yummy cheesecake. For the club experience, Pier 1 never disappoints. Even when it rained like cats and dogs, we still had a ton of fun. I definitely recommend this spot.

Cool place - friendly staff - I am enjoying watching the World Cup at the bar with people supporting their teams. It is fun. A bit expensive like anything else in Jamaica but definitely a nice place by the beach

I went there in the evening and the vibes was nice I could only imagine how fun it is on a weekend or at night. The view is beautiful and the food was good. The oxtail was perfect texture, but could have done with more flavour!

Sadly, was disappointed yesterday with the service. The food wasnt too bad, and the view is one of the best vistas in Mobay, but when we asked for the menu and simple things like "What was the soup of the day?" Were met with.. "oh...I dont know".. And instead we were told to go and check ourselves as paying customers while they stood behind the bar. Eventually we did get the menu, and we did order some food.. but the experience has left us disappointed and with limited intention of coming back to spend money here.

It was a whole vibe! Be prepared as after 10 the restaurant becomes a club a Friday night so dress to dance and turn it up! The starters were delightful and especially loved the callaloo cheese. Lobster needed a bit more moisture and the fish too but otherwise a great night! Staff are so friendly and made my last night in the island fab! Great cocktails too!

I have to say this was one of the worst. It was a referral from a friend who definitely got it wrong. As soon as we sat down we were informed that they had no lobster, no calamari, and no shrimp. That pretty much eliminated most of the combinations on the menu. My fiance ordered a Pina Colada and I got a Long Island iced tea. My Long Island iced tea was pretty much tequila and lemon juice. There may have been a little gin in there. It was awful! Her Pina Colada had no trace of liquor But was sweet and refreshing. I had the pizza for an appetizer. It had some kind of sausage and tiny bits of pineapple on it. Tasted pretty bad and looked nothing like the picture. After tasting the liquor, looking through the limited items on the menu, and considering how bad the pizza was, I decided to play it safe and just order a burger. The meat tastes like biting into mush. It was definitely cut with something like bread crumbs or crackers or something. It definitely was not meat. The french fries were full of grease. I'm pretty sure the oil wasn't hot enough when they fried them. They were dripping. I probably could have squeezed a quarter cup of oil out of them. It took a really long time for our main orders to arrive. When they did only three people at our party of 4 were served. They forgot one person altogether. When we brought it to the attention of the manager, she reprimanded the server right there in front of everyone. That must have been pretty demeaning. I have to say all and all, the food was horrible, the drinks were horrible and the service was horrible. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We travelled from London to dine at this famous restaurant and bar. However, we turned away because I had a smart vest on and Nice dress shorts! Considering a young lady walked in with a bikini and was practically naked!!! I have never would have believed, that coming out of a pandemic a business could afford to turn away 40k + in revenue! I will not be recommending your business to my friends and business associates. Hospitality is key, and the female manager needs re training. 20/03/22 @16:45.

When we arrived it was busy but the waiters kept us informed and kept checking in. The music selelction was great and the food was delicious. The drinks were also amazing. We expected to pay over $100 for our meals but it was less than 60 so we were WOWD and happy about that.

The food was phenomenal and such big portions. My friend had the seafood pot and I had the surf and turf. I can see why this is a popular place to go. Make sure you have time to spare because they take their time with everything. Unlike in the US, where we rush, rush, rush.

The weather was perfect for the outdoor seating. I asked the bartender Richard, to just surprise me with drinks. He did an amazing job. The salad was okay. The marlin bruschetta had way too much mayonnaise. Richard offered to take it back and remake it. The customer service overall was excellent.

Lovely outdoor dining on the pier. The views of the Caribbean sea is breathtaking. Covid protocols observed. The menu is varied from fresh garden salads to delectable deserts. Seafood and local dishes are included. The drink menu is equally varied from rum based cocktails to the signature fare - margaritas, cosmos, martinis and wines. Service was excellent- i’d have given 4 stars but there was no sparkling water available; neither was there soda water on a Friday afternoon. The price is affordable. I’d visit again!

Seafood chowder was amazing as always. The food is consistent year after year. I ordered the seafood pasta, the mussels and shrimp were perfect. Pasta Al dente. Very hip younger generation crowd. Drinks were very strong and good. I ordered a few long Island iced tea's which had me buzzed. Seating outdoors, masks must be worn when not eating. Brown paper bag provided for mask when not being worn.

I ordered coconut shrimp, the shrimps were so small & not there Usual size. Veg was not edible, hard & cold. Not worth the price!! Not sure what happened since the pandemic with them, Because they were always top tier. Love the scenery & atmosphere as usual & still will be my number 1 go to chill spot when back in my country/ hometown 🖤💚💛

One of Montego Bay top restaurants. Great food and excellent view of the ocean and the sunset once dining in the afternoon. The staffs are great I enjoy their hospitality. You guys should try the wings and the baby back rid, yum yum my mouth is watery as I wrote this. If you drive a tesla, no worries because they got you covered, Pier 1 am coming right back

To start, The hostess looked at us, didn’t even greet us, and walked away from the podium, TWICE (a snort girl with long braids ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE). Then she came back and claimed there was no seating except at the bar and couldn’t give an estimated wait time. (It’s 2021, come on). We got stuck at the bar and literally as we sat down like 5 tables finished and left. The bartenders were clearly overwhelmed. Food took way too long to arrive and was cold. Jerk chicken is basically baked chicken with no seasoning and cardboard fries. Classic burger the same. How do I have to wait and still get cold food? Even if it is bland, at least be hot. The drinks were nice though. All hype. Very underwhelming and disappointing

The view at Pier One is spectacular and certainly one of its best qualities!! The food is also very good and overall tasty. But the staff are very dysfunctional— it seems as if they are always scrambling or not sure of what they are suppose to do. My group waited around 20 minutes just for the table to be brought together. At the worst part of the experience was waiting for my salad— while everyone else had already received their meal. I guess the kitchen messed up something? I’m not sure but i think the staff need a dedicated retraining day. The final criticism is because it is a popular spot it attracts a lot of rowdy groups— many people being very loud or walking around with no mask because they want to take pictures (really only applies to COVID time but further shows the staffs lack of control). So while my group enjoyed our food, the service brought down the overall experience for us.

Pier 1 maintains its standards and that's what I really like. Very vibrant staff! They have will try their best to facilitate your requests and they food is always between good, to great. They have probably marked my face there based on how many times I've been. This is the go to, chill spot for me and my best friend.

Server was friendly and courteous, food coming out of kitchen slow and fries were cold. Sent them back but slow return so they were just slightly better. Also the fish sandwich was fishy tasting. Ordered fish tacos and received the shrimp which were very good but not not what was ordered and more expensive. Overall, I was very disappointed. I would go again for drinks and the view but not the food.

Ok, so I think they were having an off day today. It rained, and apparently when that happens it cuts off the kitchen from the rest of the restaurant and you have no choice but to wait. Food came out finally but was cold, so didn’t eat it. Staff was friendly and extremely apologetic, I’ll have to revisit in the future.

PIER ONE MONTEGO BAY, is one of the best places I have been to. Miss Stacy, a hostess there, was very exceptional with the way how she talked and moved swiftly with the orders. Very professional I might add, she ensured she asked twice if we were ok and if we needed anything else. She is very altruistic and I would recommend to her management a raise or promotion. I hope you guys know what asset you have there to ensure the guests are very comfortable and just so you know, I WILL VISIT AGAIN AND WILL CALL FOR STACY AGAIN.

Our server Yanique was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was nice. The sea view was welcoming. The drinks were much like the pictures and satisfying. The food...well, it left something to be desired. The drunken fish was actually shrunken fish. My dinner party cohort also ordered the drunken fish with the exact sides and our plates looked different from one another. This prompted them to question "what did you order again?" The price was obviously inflated, based in the lack of size of the fish. Pleases to the manager about the small entree were met with a reference to Burger King and the difference between the large photos and the smaller actual product. What?! Let's be clear, I wouldn't order a whopper, receive a hamburger and be pleased with the differences in price, quality and product. They ordered the lobster and steak meal, land and surf or something like that. I wouldn't have eaten that either. The steak was past dead and dry and the lobster appeared to be dry as well. The plate didn't even come with dipping butter. When they asked for such, they received cold butter meant for bread. Lol. Covid-19 is real and it's impacting everything, but at least let the prices reflect the subtractions from the quality and quantity. End result, I did not eat, not pay for the Shrunken Fish entree.

Pier One is one of the go too places for a sports bar settings events, formal dining and fun get together event including birthdays. It is very scenic being by the sea. It's like a sports bar, night club and restaurant in one. It is also big enough to host major event with adequate parking.

We enjoyed our day at pier one. The foods and drinks were excellent and served speedily. The waiter was very polite, well attired and very attentive. We both enjoyed our visit there. The surprised birthday desert with candles they made for me was exceptionally great .
