Good value, close to the beach, airport, bars, etc. Room was very clean and updated. The room only comes with one pillow per bed, and they’re very small. We asked if we could have extra and the front desk staff said that housekeeping didn’t have any more……. The wifi is good when it’s working, however most of the time it was unusually because it cuts in and out. Lastly, I slipped and fell on the tile in our bathroom and realized there was a leak under the sink. We let the hotel staff know and the response was very unenthusiastic, without any apology or sense of urgency to fix it for the next guests.

A great place to stay! We only stayed here one night but instantly regretted it after staying at another resort. It isn't a big resort so you don't have to worry about crowds. Toby's is pleasantly serene and relaxing. It gives you a community feeling which you lack at the bigger resorts. The employees are the utmost professional and courteous. Big shout out to Michael the bartender. He went above & beyond for us. We appreciate him for everything. The food was phenomenal (pictures included)! We had the goat curry several times 🤣 among other food. We weren't disappointed by anything that came out of that kitchen. I recommend this resort to any and everybody.

Toby’s is decently priced for HipStrip hotel and about 15min walking from Doctor Caves Beach. The place is a little rundown but the grounds are well maintained. The rooms desperately need help we stayed in a deluxe king and the bed was extremely soft to the point of no support, the showe had no pressure which was fine since the small trickle we had almost caused the head to pop out. The room had ants and the tv speakers were fried. The pool blasted music well after 11pm every night. The on site restaurant is great food and decent service, there are only two servers so if it gets busy be prepared to wait or fend for yourself. You can have the food ordered to your room instead for an additional charge and pay at delivery. If you use cards they have to walk back to the front desk to process it. Our door was off kilter and didn’t read the cards at first and had to get new ones. They tell you not to keep the key card next to phones or other cards as it will deactivate it which make it a little frustrating to keep track of. The saltwater pools are small but very nice and the bartender is pleasant, again run a tab on a card since it has to be processed up at the front and can only be ran so many times. Don’t expect this place to be a “resort” you are getting an affordable hotel. It’s pleasant and with a little extra care it could be a nice little place tucked away.

Booked this “resort” on a last minute adventure. We booked through a travel agent so we didn’t deal with the site directly for booking. I would say this is not really a “resort”. It’s very affordable and close to everything for a trip to Montego Bay, including the airport. We were within walking distance of local shops, the beach, and dining. The room was subpar. There were what the staff called “ants” literally all over the room. They came and sprayed with a can of RAID. That’s it. The furniture is outdated, but it’s also Jamaica. We were on the back side of the resort which was seemingly close to a nightclub. There are 2 pools on the property that are… ehhh. We didn’t eat at the on-site diner, but the people who worked inside were very nice.

Well where do I start.... I extended my stay so I had to book this hotel for 2 days and it was ok. The older lady at the front desk was kinda bad attitude. My room was good but you do have to cut the air off too enjoy your balcony. My wifi wasn't working when I first logged in but eventually it all worked out. This place cool but too much of the unnecessary.

First time me and my husband visit Jamaica without the kids (short 5 day trip) and Toby’s will now be our spot . Conveniently close to everything and the food isn’t bad at all! Friendly staff and clean. Could use a little sprucing but for the price you can’t beat it!!

Great little Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and tidy. I would have given 5 star if there was a way of making tea or coffee in our room. Food is very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Especially after a long haul flight.

I haven't completed my stay at Toby's Resort as yet... but... so far, it's been good. We were allowed to check-in early as we were running late for a wedding and needed to shower and get ready. The staff we've interacted with so far have been excellent. Will update when the stay is completed. 😊 UPDATE: The room we stayed in was okay. Unfortunately, there were a few ants on the beds... I got bitten while I slept. (Nothing painful thankfully, but annoying nonetheless) There were also ants on the bathroom counter: big black ones and red ones. Oh, the room we stayed in was definitely not soundproof so bear that in mind if you are looking for a quiet and restful sleep. It didn't help that there were loud persons walking by the room and loud persons in the room next door. Apart from that, the staff (the few that we interacted with), as mentioned before, were helpful and nice. Would I stay here again? Maybe... I'm not sure.

Weather you stay is short or long you can't go wrong with Toby's Resort. Rooms are air conditioned, nice and cozy. The restaurant was fantastic with your choice of local or North American food. Service was top notch throughout the facility. Oh I forgot to mention they also have 2 salt water pools in the facility. Would definately stay here again.

Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. Very affordable. The rooms need some maintenance. The door to the bathroom got stuck and there ants everywhere.

This is a Definite GEM. The Staff was amazing Mrs Chin and I’m so sorry for not remembering the other lady! But the front desk crew BIGUP!!! Then the FOOD and the Restaurant staff were all phenomenal!!! Much Love I’ll definitely be back!!!

Loved everything about this place. Front desk receptionist was very very friendly. Wish they had a better bar. But besides that would definitely stay there again.

Toby's Resort is a moderate hotel. Not high end, but good average hotel. You will like your stay. Toby's advantage is, it is within walking distance to entrance of Doctor's Cave Beach in Montego Bay. Very nice secure beach! The staff at Toby's treated is well. Check in your luggage early and head for a day at the beach. No seaweed, clean beach. Good snorkeling along the pier. Beach is located next to Starbucks. Nice vacation!

This is a hidden gem! If you’re looking to experience the real Jamaica, then this is your place! The restaurant on site is really good food with amazing service! The Hotel overall just has a really relaxed vibe to it! The rooms are nice and everyone at the resort is very nice!

I will characterize Toby's as efficient, convenient, no frills accommodation in Montego Bay. It just gets the job done, get the queen bed, its not big but its decent. The was an issue with ants, that come out at night, and my shower i had to play around with it a little bit. They have a restaurant on site that is not expensive at all, and serves but international and local cuisine. Conveniently located near Dead End, Doctors Cave and the airport. I will definitely stay here again if in the general area. Disliked · Sometimes noise in the hallway but that is not the fault of the resort.

Really beautiful, clean and pleasant place to stay. It has everything you need and the service is on point. Good if you like both going out or staying in. The location is perfect if you like being near busy environments and the beach.

My husband and I were here just over a week ago. Wonderful staff all very friendly. This resort is small but the grounds are so lovely lots of mature trees and flowers. Food was excellent, fantastic coffee! Paul the shuttle driver is such a nice man so knowledgeable about the area. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Definitely would go back.

This place is quiet, clean, secured and affordable. The staff is very professional and helpful. Literally three mins away from the airport and bus fare isn’t expensive IMO. I’d definitely recommend AND stay here again. Keep up the great customer service!

Reasonable value for the money! Spent one night, just enough to get some rest after a long trip before going to Negril. It was conveniently located close to the airport ($15 taxi). There are mini markets around. AC working well, same for the shower. We got of the large bedrooms by the main pool (pictured below) and the bed was big. Clean sheets, towels. Soap and shampoo for amenities.

Have been a couple times. Last experience. Beyond belief. An employee there got into a huge argument with me. Called me names and swore at me. His name was Orlando. The incident was that the menu in my room was very outdated but he wanted to charge me the updated menu prices. There was no physical confrontation but this man was very ignorant and as a result of this incident that was not my fault. The old menu was Toby’s fault. This man refused to accommodate me the rest of my stay. He was not reprimanded in any way. He should have been fire for his conduct. He was a very well built young man and very intimidating. I’m a senior of over 60 years of age. They refused me back because of this incident. Shame on you Toby’s resort.

Tamara at the front made it spectacular for me she made sure I got everything I wanted. I Love how she went above and beyond her job to make my Birthday so Special!!! I really appreciate her and ready to return to the Resort again

Tobys resort was a pleasant surprise. Right on the hip strip. Comfortable rooms. The pool is open late. Great food in their restaurant. Staff is helpful and super friendly. And nice COLD rooms.

We have been coming here for twenty five years. A great option for lodging prior to nearby airport departure. Easy walk to town or beach. On site restaurant offers reasonably priced and tasty local Jamaican cuisine. Newer deluxe rooms are clean, cool and with a refrigerator and deck. Toby’s also has nice maintained swimming pools. Good value for your money.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at Toby Resort. The property is very central, very close to the airport and a 7 minute walk to the hip strip and Doctors Cave Beach. The management and staff were all pleasant, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent homestyle cooking both Jamaican and Western fare and quite reasonably priced. The property is well maintained and rooms well cleaned daily.

I like Toby's and will certainly return one day. I had an issue with the breakfast, but it was probably my taste buds. 😊 The room was nice and had all the amenities I needed. I slept quite comfortably on the bed. This was important to me. One thing that I find particularly intriguing and unforgettable about this resort is that it is bigger than it appears from the outside. It seems significantly smaller than what it actually is. I would recommend this resort to persons who would like a nice, relatively small resort to hangout for a while or to spend some time with a significant other.

Our stay was nice, the room was basic but OK. Only problem was in the evening there was so much noise from another room... There was a gathering of people in one particular room I think someone complained but I do not think that it helped.. Looked like they worked there! Grounds were lovely and the food was really good.

The only thing I would ask is to turn down the music at the bar, it was too loud and last too long. Front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent! Definitely enjoyed my stay.

I stayed here for 5 days and the place is amazing! It’s quaint and nice. Very hospitable and helpful. Food here is very homey and amazing and the room service is spot on. Rooms could do with some updo but nothing major to complain about. Receptionists are very helpful and they helped us with a lot of queries. Very close to the airport, almost walkable and close to the beaches as well. Highly recommended for a good and a non expensive stay compared to the other resorts in the island.

Really nice place. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Very clean. Great pool. Wonderful breakfast selection, especially Jamaican dishes "Ake and saltfish". Responsive staff.

The employees and services were great and the room was nice. It has two pools, a mini gym, and great food honestly. The only sour spot was the wi-fi in the rooms was pretty bad. Everything else was cool. Just get use the wi-fi at the restaurant. Much better there.

Had Mother's Day with some folks and it was awful! The rice and peas and seasoned rice was obviously reheated, not a grain of freshly prepared rice. Two huge escovietch fish and no seasoning. Come on, we're Caribbean people, who doesn't hate? Fries at the table, unsalted and no salt or pepper at the table! What!?! This is just crazy!

We enjoyed staying here and only one night. We didn't expect much but it was nice on arrival. Free parking on site. Modest hotel but still nice and clean. Air con. Shower also has foot shower. Initial room wasn't suitable so they changed it immediately. Staff were exceptional. Only thing is breakfast took forever. Ordered about 9.30 and almost missed 11am check out as it hadn't arrived yet. Otherwise perfect. 2 pools. Really lovely laundry lady on site. Gym on site. Location was great. We would return to this hotel for sure.

A safe nice affordable place to stay, I enjoyed the breakfast and my server Toni was awesome she was so patient and give me exactly what I order. Always with a a smile. Definitely recommend for anyone to stay for a quick affordable get away on the island in Jamaica.

My stay at was awesome. This was home away from home. The staff was very friendly. Carlene was the best. She is one of the ladies at the front desk. She went above and beyond to help me if I had an issue. The ladies in the restaurant were great. I went to the restaurant every morning and night. The ladies who did the cash register knew what my daughter wanted for dinner. Mikey at the bar was the best. He helped me with my phone when I was not not able to log on to the hotel wifi. So he is a great bartender and and a great tech.

Excellent service. Fantastic location, walking distance from the beach and shops. Conveniently close to the airport. 2 pools. Best value for money on the Strip.

Would not recommend this hotel for a vacation. Service upon check in took approx 45min, this was not due to the que but seemed to be lack of staff efficiency/speed. One woman behind us,.sat down and fell asleep waiting. The room was OK. Basic. Had to request housekeeping to change the sheets upon arrival as on inspection there was a big black mark and a bug.🙈 Getgo lizardn in bathroom and behind TV. We did not eat at the establishment. We walked 500m to Starbucks. We had one night here as it was near to the airport for our early morning departure.

To start with, the customer service was TERRIBLE! The basic wifi that they claim is included in the price was not available. They told me to come to the lobby to use the wifi. The bathroom was filthy and had hair in the tub, the towels were torn, the cable connection was poor, the curtains were dirty with loads of stains! The clothes hangers were old. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Nice enough place for a budget. It's a bit sad sad that the front desk and restaurant really didn't care if you were there.. pool bar guy was great. Good shuttle service. Close to the airport.

Average small hotel, not like on the pictures, but it’s Jamaica so its fine. All was ok until the very last moment when i had to return remotes from room back to reception when checking out, and receptionist said that I WAS SUPPOSED TO and made a face. So i brought it back and she was kinda angry at me, just took it from my hand and placed it in a box with other remotes… Not even thank you for your stay, nothing, just an angry face of good bye… She should’ve not behaved like this to customer.

This is a cute place to stay. The bottom line is "You get what you pay for" so there's not allot of frills but it's adequate for a Bed and Bath. The Staff is very nice and personable and the Restaurant food is edible. It's within walking distance to most anything you need so if you want a place to hang out with the locals you should enjoy this place ( We Did)!
