I liked my stay at Deja Resort. The food was delicious especially the chicken Alfredo and the market vegetables on point. I liked that the had a very wide variety to select from . The jerk pork and BBQ Ribs seasoned to the bone. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Room was very cool and clean. I also liked the fact that they had a full shower gel instead of small soaps. Entertainment was also good. The parking was very limited 😞 and that needs some improvement, especially when you will have increased guest on public holidays.

DO NOT STAY HERE…..I left after 1 day of my vacation and went to the Holiday Inn Resort for the same price! The rooms are old and nasty. I booked a King Superior room and was suprised by how small it was. There was no counter space in the bathroom for our travel bags, no soap holder, no toilet paper holder. There was 1 wash cloth that looked like it was used for cleaning. The resort was dirty. There was trash and cigarette butts everywhere. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!! There was no blanket on the bed- just a sheet. When I requested blankets, I was sent a decorative throw that sits on the bottom of the bed. I was so disappointed because the website makes this place look nice. Additionally, my mom had trouble climbing all those stairs…. THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS!!!

It’s really sad for me to leave such a review. I was truly excited to visit this resort. My family visited before the pandemic, and I was told it’s the real authentic Jamaican food and it’s locally owned. I have visited other resorts and the food wasn’t all that great to talk about. I was hoping this one would be different , but I’m sure what they prepared for us they wouldn’t eat at home. Compared to other hotels this was like a motel. ( it has nothing to do with the size of the hotel). The room didn’t even have a mini fridge like all the other all inclusive resorts I’ve been. Most of the staff were nice and friendly. I strongly believe they were short staffed. I would recommend staying at this resort if you plan on going on a lot of excursions, as this seems more of a place to only sleep. They have access to a beach but you have to cross the main road, and rent umbrellas and chairs. If you want authentic food shop at the local restaurants.

Avoid this hotel if travelling as a group of females!! My friends and I booked this hotel for a trip and we were bombarded with constant sexual harassment from the kitchen staff and the bartenders. It was extremely uncomfortable to be offered sexual suggestions when I was ordering breakfast. There were repair and maintenance works being carried out across the hotel, and these workers also made us feel anxious as they were constantly staring at us and making suggestive comments (especially when we were swimming in the pool). There were some moments where I felt quite unsafe in the hotel itself. The female bartender near the swimming pool was very unwelcoming and even rude in her manners. The rooms are very outdated, and the walls extremely thin so we could hear everything happening on the pool deck and in the hallways. The bathroom flooded every time we took a shower or used the sink, and we were told just to put towels down to soak the water up each time we used the facilities. The food was actually decent, there was enough variety during each meal to prevent getting bored during the week long stay and was cooked to a good standard. The free access to the beach across the street was another benefit of the hotel, with very easy access and towels provided by the hotel. I think the location of the hotel has prevented this review being 2 stars as being close to the airport was very handy! It’s a shame some factors have let the hotel down cause it could definitely be a great place with its prime location and meal/drink packages.

Please understand the price before you book this hotel. If you are looking for a 1-2 night stay and on a budget, this is a good place to come for the beautiful beach access across the street. Doctors Cove beach cost to get in, but the hotel provides free access. Also, the location is great for partying and shopping. Margaritaville is a 3 minute walk and Club 2727 is the same distance. For the price, you’re also getting unlimited bottom shelf drinks and mediocre food. However, I would not spend a celebration here for an extended amount of time. If it was my honeymoon, I wouldn’t be happy. The rooms could use some love and the cleaning is at a minimum. If you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room, you will be fine.

Great time! Spent the weekend and it was fun! Food was good, served on time with great service, room was kept up as well. Always able to find someone to help you and the front desk was helpful. Included is the beach across the street, (chair&umbrella separate, $1000 each Jamaican). If you are fit, the upper rooms(237-241) have a great view, are secluded and have a wonderful breeze. But they are a bit of a hike(and I mean a hike!) From front desk, like 4 flights of stairs... The Grill is great if ya miss a scheduled meal, 8 different types of "comfort " foods (Cheeseburger, fries, grilled cheese and such.) Buffet style for the major meals, Breakfast was super! A great choice of local cuisine or food I was accustom too. All in all, wonderful time! Thanks Deja!

Decent rooms, rooms could do well with a mini fridge tho. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Food taste good, but needs more variety. Beach is very decent and clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Has a pool table, table tennis and chess games. Nice hotel to bring the whole family to.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Me and my family had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful especially Sonia and Antonia. The amenities were great. the food was good. The rooms was wonderful, clean, and perfect i celebrated my birthday weekend and it was the best ever.

Excellent! I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want my favorite hotel in Jamaica to be discovered 😊 Everything is fantastic! The room was clean and spacious. The staff is so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The location and price are perfect! The food is amazing; staying here is like staying with your best family. We adored everything about the hotel, MoBay, Jamaica, and the island life. We’ll be back again soon!

This was a hotel/resort for people who don't necessarily need an overpriced American resort. Local food at buffet meals at All Inclusive. Food was great! Yumm! Two bars and an American side restaurant with odd hours. Resort is older so it is quirky! The resort is built Jamaican architecture. It's great. Rooms were clean and had all what I needed throughout my stay. Every staff member was friendly and was willing to answer questions or assist if you needed. There is an elevator too if you need. If you're not in shape to walk 2 or 3 flights of stairs, pay attention and ask ahead at desk. Open air dining may be annoying at times of day when you may get an insect or two, but the air is wonderful so I did not mind an occasional fly (maybe twice in a week stay did I have flies while I dined)

I stayed there with my family and I had a few issues: 1. Parking was a nightmare. 2. The television in the room was barely working (had some weird feedback noise during the movie) 3. The bathroom had a leaking somewhere, the shower wasn’t cleaned properly, you could see some greenish black mold-like things between the tiles in the shower. The towels were placed under the face basin and the area is obviously a little made shift thing that hasn’t been dusted. 4. The food 😭 the water wash horrific, the cornmeal porridge was so watery. 5. The grill area didn’t open on time so there was a gap where I had to feed my kids on the tomato cheese sandwich they have at the cafe area. 6. The receptionist were just “there” On the other hand, a few of the food items were good. The persons working at the grill seemed professional. The valet was very pleasant.

Free entry to Doctor’s beach which is across the road, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, the room was lovely. Just a bit difficult to get served for the all inclusive bar! Shout out to Sonia at reception who was above and beyond

Its my second time here and I am never going back. I got a room way up in the back on top of a the hill where I had to climb several flights of stairs with two children. The room was small. When I went for extra water I was told that I had to use a cooler to refill the bottles I already had. Its all inclusive but I had to pay for certain alcoholic beverages. $7usd to be exact. If you get hungry in the night after dinner, your only option is left overs from dinner. Not little sandwich or snack. The food options were so limited... In the end, I guess I get what I paid for. They couldn't pay me to return. The international guests get preferential treatment from the staff.

The Deja Resort have exceeded my expectations.. It all started when I got a call from Christal to confirm my booking. She was very warm and welcoming on the phone that I decided I have to meet this person when I arrive at the Resort which I did. When I got to the airport I met another lady I forgot her name she too was also very pleasant and nice. Then my shuttle driver Brian was very courteous and professional. Deon the bellman gave me a very warm welcome and assisted me to the front desk. There I met some of the nicest Front Desk Clerk like Karla and Nickayla and Odette the Entertainment Manager. The entire staff was so cordial, pleasant and very very nice. The Dining Room and Kitchen Staff I forgot the names they are the best. I spent seven days and nights and i wish i could spend more time. It was hard to say goodbye to The Deja Resort Family. The Operational Manager Miss Dahalia Walker, what can I say? Oh My God she is such a sweet kind hearted and wonderful person. She is a Precious Gem. There is a lot more to say but I will definitely tell everyone I know going on vacation that the place to check in, is The Phenomenal Deja All Inclusive Resort. I will be back next year God's willing. Thanks to the entire Management and Staff for making my vacation so memorable!!!!!!

I spent a night there for my mother’s birthday and the receptionist that greeted us made me feel welcomed and she treated me like family (sadly I don’t remember her name) the bartender in front of the pool also made me feel at peace the operator was also very patient with us as we called to ask her questions that only problem I had was that the manager wasn’t as accommodating as the receptionist when our driver was late in picking us up because she had to carry her child to the hospital for his check up even though we informed them from we were checking in she wanted to charge us even tho we were sitting peacefully and not walking up and down on the property the only way I’ll go back is if I’m driving myself there and back so I can leave at exactly 12 (which is the time for check out)

Our family has vacationed here for almost ten years. The location is perfect, as it is across from Doctors Cave and walking distance to various touristy stores and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, with A/C, hot water, and wifi. The staff are the utmost of help and the food is decent for an all inclusive package. Overall, my family has never had a complaint and we will continue staying here generations to come!

Deja Resort is in a great location, right on the Hip Strip and directly across from Doctor's Cave Beach. The Resort is all inclusive, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a snack bar that serves chicken and fries as well. Andre the bell man is excellent, his warm and sunny disposition will make anyone's day. The front desk ladies, could definitely be friendlier and more patient, however they get and A+ for accommodating my requests. Beach towels are provided and can be take to Doctor's Cave Beach across the street. The breakfast buffet features and omelet station, using fresh eggs. The ginger tea and peppermint tea were amazing. The coffee is so so, which was disappointing as I am a coffee drinker and Jamaica has excellent coffee. Stay away from the juice, unless you like concentrates. Breakfast offers American and Jamaican options. Lunch and dinner offered similar choices of American and Jamaican options. Deja served my purpose as I have been to Jamaica a number of times, but this occasion I really just wanted to sit on the beach, read, and relax. I loved that I had free access to the beach and could come back to the resort for lunch and then go back to the beach. I totally enjoyed my room, in that it was located right on the strip with a balcony and a window. During parts of the day and early evening I opened the windows and doors and enjoyed the sights and the breeze. Overall, I am pleased with the resort, the overall service, and would recommend Deja and stay here again.

Parking is ridiculous. I don't know if there is additional parking elsewhere, but there are probably 3 parking spaces at the front of the hotel. The rooms were really confortable and spacious. The front staff and waite staff were polite and professional, save one gentleman by the bar. The food choices aren't incredible, but it was good for the most part. The selections were tasty. The seating method is a little awkward, but the cafeteria is tiny, so I think I get why. This hotel has a good bit going for it. It's not bad at all. The beach was across the road oddly, but it's easily the nicest beach I've ever been to. Clean sands clear water, even some trampolines in the water for those with a flair for excitement. Clean win for me. Overall a charming experience, except for the parking.

It's been a few months since we've stayed there and it took me too long to post a review. Let me start by saying that they were nicest people I've met. So kind and helpful, accommodating and caring. From the manager, to the front desk, the dining room and the front door. There isn't a good word I can say that is not well deserved. They will forever be in my heart.

My husband and I spent our anniversary here. It was a Great Time! We loved the staff and service we received. The food/ drinks were delicious and the convenience of having the beach right across the street was marvelous. It was our first time in Montego Bay but will definitely not be our last.

  • 1/5 Jo F. 3 months ago on Google New
Horrendous customer service at almost every customer interaction. The bar was missing half the ingredients on their cocktail list; the pool bar had different stock than the restaurant bar so you had to bounce from place to place depending on what drink you wanted. I did not find the food to be particularly tasty; every interaction with the cooks/waitstaff felt like I was inconveniencing them. I requested some jerk chicken from the snack bar so I could have an authentic meal and was told they had used up their chicken for the day - it was noon. I requested a room way in the back, difficult to get to but at least it was quiet. That is until the neighbors started blasting music at 10 pm. I found the whole experience very unpleasant and cut my vacation short. I tried to coordinate my early departure, but the front desk would not put me in touch with a manager. Now the hotel is telling my travel agent I didn't check out early so they can avoid giving me a refund on the dates described in the cancellation policy. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to get a better all inclusive resort.

A really nice little hotel in the centre of it all, with beach access right across the road. Rooms are cozy. Staff is friendly and efficient. Lots of variety in the food offerings, but you might want to arrive early for meals. There are cozy nooks, bars, seating areas, and bars and a grill all over that make the place feel welcoming and comfortable.

Service is great. It's not an easy place to get around if you are ADA. I love the views of their Cafe on the second floor and smoking deck on the third floor. The stairs can be slippery, especially wheb they are wet. The drinks were good, the good was good, and it was a good price. Rude boys were out in full force, just be aware people will try to sell you stuff as soon as you step away from the property.

Now this place surprised me because for the price i was shocked to get a all inclusive. They may be small but dont sleep on Deja, I've been to some of the big name hotels and Deja can for sure give them a run for their money. The rooms are lovely, the location is great and quite but service for sure is beyond 10/10. The staff seem to genuinely like working there.

I visited Deja on a solo vacation. This was my first time in Jamaica and I will definitely be back! The staff at Deja were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well made up with personally controlled A/C and a private balcony with a view of the street and ocean across. The food was delicious with many options, although finding snacks outside of designated meal times was a challenge. The grounds were well kept and I saw many improvements and maintenance ongoing during my stay. I felt very safe and comfortable at Deja, even as a woman traveling alone. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the location for you, as it is quite an active area of Montego Bay. If I visit Jamaica solo again, I will opt for a quieter location, as it was hard to "party" alone, regardless of how friendly the staff were! Thank you Deja for giving me such a wonderful impression of Jamaica!

The staff at the resort were consistently courteous and engaging. The room was cozy and was not disturbed by the noise from the passing traffic. It provided a retreat away from the hussle of daily activities.

Great location, free access to the beach (doctors cave). Consider this option only if you are on a budget and you just need a place to sleep. The room was below average, and there was no WiFi connectivity in the room, I had to go near the reception area every time I had to access the Internet. They did not fix it despite complaining multiple times. There is no elevator in the hotel. Think twice before booking if you have difficulty climbing the stairs or have considerable luggage. 3 buffet meals are included. I'm not sure if there is a price tier without that. Food tasted average at best, and there were a lot of flies in the area where the food was being served, which I found unappetizing, to say the least. I couldn't drink from the glasses as they had a bad smell. There was no blanket on the bed, just an extra sheet. Located in an unappealing corner of the hotel, the room felt damp and claustrophobic. There was no hot water in the shower.

If you are a seasoned traveller and traveling to experience the destination, the people, the beauty, this hotel is for you. The Deja provides a warm, professional fun experience without all the hoopla. The service is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, clean and basic. The food is delicious. The ambiance is very homey and comfortable. And extremely safe. The Deja sits directly in front of Doctors Cave Beach, probably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Worth every penny. Big Shoutouts to Krystal and Nichelle-Ann for their excellent customer service. ❤️

This was my first time staying at the hotel. When I checked into my room, it smelled of bleach. There was no hot water, there was mold in the ceiling, the flies in the dining area were a nuisance, and the pool was dirty. Most of the staff had an attitude, not a good look. I don't know if I would stay here for vacation, but for work it was ok. It's not a bad place to stay, but things need to be addressed, pay attention and fix it.

Before the pandemic happen in 2020, my husband and I visited Deja Resort in 2019. We had a great time. This time around we had a great time as well. Kimberly and Karla at the front desk have amazing customer service. The rest of the staff are great as well. The food is authentic Jamaica cuisines. My only complaint is there were no towels for 5 hours to go to the beach across the street. Q

The staff from start to finish were great! Nickeshia, Gavin, Allison, Maria and Keveene really make the hotel and dining a five star experience. Just holding back a star overall for the lack of a mini refrigerator in the room. It is perfectly located in the middle of EVERYTHING with easy access to the beach. I would definitely recommend this place if you really want to experience real Jamaican warmth and hospitality...oh, and not to mention authentic Jamaican food.
