I stayed in Room #1. The Irie Inn was great! Free AC and free high-speed internet. TV with Netflix, fridge, and microwave all included in the base price. Definitely the best value in the most walkable part of town. Comfortable beds and pillows, clean sheets, and probably the coldest AC in MoBay! (My room, #1, got down to 66 degrees f/19 degrees c in no time. I had to shut the ac off even with heat indexes over 100f/38c outside). The host, Pauline, is an absolute gem and will have your room spotless before you arrive. I came a little early and she was scrubbing the floors on her hands and knees! This hotel comes with security and a nighttime gate, which is nice since it is such a busy part of town. 👉A cab should be $15 from the airport, though it's only a 30-40 minute walk if you insist. 👉This is one of the closest hotels to Margaritaville. It's the US equivalent of a "two block walk." 👉Just in case, bring earplugs. I did not need mine as the club noise was not as loud as I expected, but know that you will hear club noise from 9 pm to 6 am and you might need earplugs to sleep. 👉There is a free, perfectly swimmable beach directly across the street. 👉Doctor's Cave beach, paid entry, is a $5 cab ride or 10 minute walk down the street past Margaritaville. You can snorkel in that beach, too, so bring goggles! 👉The best cheap food I had on my stay: the Sunset Bar and Grill next door (meal, drink, and dessert for just 1300 JMD), and the 24 hr Irie House just past Doctor's Cave Beach with the best fried chicken you'll ever have for only 1200 JMD. 👉Go to Harmony Beach Park and parasail! It's only $75! The Irie Inn is a fantastic value for the budget-conscious traveler.

Exactly as described. In the heart of the 'Hip Strip'. Not for the light sleeper, but nothing earplugs didnt drown out. A very short walk to Margaritaville, Doctors Cave beach, snorkeling, restraunts, many shops, Burger King if you get homesick, and a pharmacy next door. Tons of amazing attractions within a short drive. A bioluminesent bay, waterfalls, caves in the hillside and more.The staff is incredibly friendly and resourceful. Excellent!

Super friendly and hospitable Pauline runs this lovely Irie inn. It's wonderfully clean has hot water and clean sheets. Pauline can also have breakfast delivered in the morning. It's a great place to stay and the owner is a lovely boy...hihi don't miss this super interesting stop and it's close to clubs you can just walk home to your lodgings and in walking distance from Hussain Bolt restaurant, local maket, food stop- hot food and a wonderful free beach ...wow it's lovely and very near the airport. Pauline can send airport pickup for you. At Montego bay Airport. We loved our stay there. The hospitality is unbeatable 😊😍❤️💯⭐🌟🌟🌟🌟

Perfect location, right across from the beach and a bar/strip club at the bottom of your complex. DO NOT be scared because this is a good area and the locals will always make sure you are good. Rooms had just what we needed and there is security every evening. This isn't America, its Jamaica... Do not expect top flight security, but he is there and alert even if you do not see him, he see's you. I loved this place and will book again! Location is EVERYTHING, plus super clean

Small, cozy guesthouse; clean; comfortable beds; across the street from public beach; within walking distance of downtown Mo Bay. This summer was our second visit and I would stay there again. Manager, Ms. Pauline, was a very sweet and gracious host, very accommodating. If you want an easy-going, worry-free, safe stay, by all means stay at The Irie Inn.

A lovely owner. Easy access to a free beach. The bar music at the bottom of the hill wasn't entertaining though

Great stay! Cheapest private room in the area and close to everything. 3-minute walk to Margaritaville, the Pork Pit, and other bars and restaurants. 2-minute from The Pelican Grill restaurant. It's located right off Jimmy Cliff Blvd. Nikol was also a great host! Will stay again next time.

Been staying here since 2003. In Mobay I will never stay anywhere else. I love this place more than home. It is very convenient place to stay on the hip strip in the heart of everything. This is my home away from home. Never any worries. Pauline is a more than wonderful person. Always smiling making sure your stay is peaceful. I always advise people to stay here. Never have to worry about crowds of people, never have to worry about safety. This place is a Diamond in the rough. Nick will see you soon! You can never go wrong with this place, I promise you that. 2003 to 2017. I highly recommend this place and guarantee you will return after staying once! Love and miss you all!!

Stayed here a couple of times before making my way to Negril. The rooms were very clean, staff is amazing and Pauline is very informative. They always look out for your safety as well. Very centrally located to everything and just steps away from the beaches.

Nice place close to the beach. A bit loud, but if you dont care is a nice place to stay.

Great location on Hip Strip! Very affordable! Clean rooms!! Pauline was cleaning my room when I arrived. I was early but could see she had stripped the sheets and replaced them with fresh linens. The floors were mopped and looking great. I was surprised in such a muggy and hot climate that I didn’t see any mold. Especially in the bathroom where it gets even more moisture! Very very clean! Value for the money and having Pauline’s friendly face around makes this place well worth the money! Also important is it is very secure and no locals will follow you up to the hotel area off the street. As noted by other reviewers, the nightclub on the front of the building plays their music too loud from about 9:30pm to 6:00am. However it seems to be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you are a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. Also bring your own toiletries. There is no soap or shampoo for the shower, only hand soap at the sink. If you have never traveled to a tropical location you may not realize the hot water is collected and heated on the roof from the sun, so afternoon or evening showers of limited duration are expected.

Dirty shower, covered with hair, hair all over the floor. The cleaning person doesn't own a vacuum, so the hair is getting left behind. No toiletries, besides hand soap.
