Noel's presence lingers in every room, even though more than 40 rears have passed since he died here, alone, in the bathroom. The house is as he left it, unchanged, unvarnished. Firefly takes some effort to find, but if you want to meet the man, you'll find him here. So do it. Whether you're a fan or not, you'll enjoy connecting with the past and with a bygone age, an age with more time and maybe less intrusion. He found this place you know, in 1946 when driving around with Ian Fleming, whose 'Golden Eye' is about 10 miles down the road, although these roads are so rutted, you might think it feels more like 50 miles. It would be a pity to visit the north coast of Jamaica and not come here.

Simply lived in. Lots of good pictures of Coward. Worth a tour if you can get one. And a fabulous fabulous view!! Also has history tied up with Morgan the pirate from late 1600's.

Views are worth the prices. We paid 2500 Jamaican per, there is a bar and no rush while you enjoy the tour and property. Being your good camera and a few snack! The drive up is kind of rough. The sign for the museum is small. But the neighbors are friendly and they will point you in the right direction. I tried to capture a few photos as well..

Beautiful spot. House is shut and the tour short and half arsed. Worth a visit but come out of hours, early morning or after 5 so you get the view, but miss out on the larceny.

To be honest all you see is the outside of the house, a statue of him, his grave and the view to the mountains and sea. The house is in total disrepair so you cannot go inside and has been emptied anyway. Having said that our guide was lovely and she was able to give a lot of information about Noel Coward and when he lived there. The roads to the house are very badly potholed..

Absolutely wonderful, unexpected treasure. Up the roughest, windiest, steepest track but well worth the scary drive. You park right at the property in deep forest then walk round the simple bungalow onto a patio and gardens that are simply breathtaking. You are guided round the simple, plantation style rooms with the feeling Mr Coward has just walked into the next. His art, books and furnishings give you the feeling he loved simplicity and elegance and Jamaica. We could have sat in his garden all day, it was heaven.

A torturous road leads to the gem that is Firefly but it is well worth the trip. You are stepping into the golden age of Hollywood when you tour Noel Coward's modest little home. I could imagine the many stars who also enjoyed the place. The views from the location are almost beyond belief and the design of Coward's home makes great advantage of that. A very special place in the world.

Fantastic views from this location but very tired. Cost is way to expensive for just the views no access to the house. Guide is knowledgeable and has been at this location over 30 years. Sadly it is not worth the money, they really need to spend some money on it to make it worth while visiting.

The view is breathtaking but it's not worth 15 USD per person

It was so beautiful. My wife and I are thinking of using the facility as our anniversary reception. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Firefly Estate, St Mary, Jamaica, is located high above the village of Port Maria offering a commanding view of St Mary Harbour below. Sir Noël Coward bought the property from Blanche Blackwell [mother of Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records] and had a house built there in 1956. Coward vacationed there regularly until his death in 1973 and chose to be buried in the garden there, under a marble slab. The house fell into disrepair after Coward's death and the estate was benevolently restored to good order by the aforementioned Chris Blackwell, who leases Firefly from the Jamaican government.

The place was cool but the guide was a little shady with the price. At $20 a person we felt a bit ripped off. Still enjoyed the visit for the scenery though.

(Translated by Google) I was very happy to pay a visit, and charged us alone JMD1200 at the local price. Standing on the hill, you can see the harbor, like a picture. (Original) 很开心的一次拜访,按本地价收了我们一个人JMD1200。站在山上可以看到港湾,如画一样.
