Cost about $5.00 usd to enter if you have it in Jamaican dollars, they have good food and great drinks and people from all around the world are enjoying the sandy beach. The boat to the island was closed, will be back.

We paid for a day pass to get into the park and beach. It did not disappoint!! There were only 10 people at most, and not all at once. There are adorable beach dogs that hang around and play. The restaurant was ok, nothing impressive. And the prices were a bit on the high side. No pun intended, iykyk. The beach and the water were beautiful. We had a great time snorkeling, and seeing the marine life and parts of the reef that are still alive near shore. There is Calico Jacks bar that you can take a boat ride to (you can also are it from the beach) but since it was the low season they were doing renovations to it and not allowing people to go there. Getting there is a bit of a trick. We use the taxi service from our hotel, but you could also take route taxis. If you are in the area, this is a must do!!

My husband and I took two of our favorite people for a private dinner there, who joined us on the last 5 days of our vacation in Negril,Jamaica. This was a scene of an old movie. We had a private Cubana with a beautiful table setting right by the beach looking at the stunning sunset for four of us . Our host and chef was super friendly and kind, and the food and drinks were out of the world. I'm Difinatly going back next vacation.

Spectacular views, the beach is perfectly fitted in a cove, the food was absolutely delicious. I did not see the rooms but going to get they were rustic and cozy like the rest of the place.

I stopped by here on my drive back from Negril, so I didn't stay long. After the accosting vendors of 7 mile, I was looking forward to some peace and serenity, however the gate keeper was insistent on asking personal questions and wouldn't tell me the resident entry rate until I told him not just where I work but also what I do for work. Unprofessional and highly invasive. (For the record, it's $500 jmd for locals, so price is good). The beach itself is picturesque but the snorkeling is nothing spectacular, the reefs are burned and dying. There's a whackload of sea urchins and which you really have to watch for because this snorkeling spot is shallow. You need water shoes. The sandy beach area is small. Amenities are ok - there's a nice looking restaurant, outdoor shower and bathroom. There's some loungers and chairs too. The property is beautiful but given proximity to 7 mile, I would skip this spot.

Shhhh.... Don't tell anyone how amazing and magical this place is. The beach is great. Food was perfect, Livingston was on the grill. Marjorie kept everyone hydrated and Henry Keeps the beach and ground looking stunning. Rooms are very private and rustic but clean. If you're looking for a gilded Vacation experience this might not be for you but if you want true paradise and a Jamaica atmosphere this is it.

I loved my stay at the Half Moon Beach, it was my favorite part of the whole trip. The cabins are very pretty, equipped with a lot of essentials like a shower, body soap, a mini gas stove, pots and pans, a refrigerator and each room has a ceiling fan (and they work great). Only thing we would've liked to have would be dish soap as it is a bit expensive in Jamaica. The view from our cabin was spectacular, such a beautiful and relaxing place. Oh and there are a few super nice dogs living on the campus :) The hermit crabs were a real highlight too, they were very funny to look at. The beach is magnificent, and the coral reefs further in the crescent are filled with sea organisms and tropical fishes, perfect for snorkeling. The restaurant's food is delicious and not that expensive at all, we were pleasantly surprised (the grilled lobster was incredible). Overall great relaxing experience after a long travel across Jamaica, I would definitely go back.

Half Moon Beach is one of my favorite places on planet earth. Rustic cabins meet your needs set next to the beatiful carribean sea in the middle of heaven (I mean Jamaica :)

The location is fantastic: about 30 minutes by car from Negril and the super crowded (and super expensive) Seven-mile beach area, Half moon beach is a peaceful and silent oasis, surrounded by trees. There isn't much space, with around fifteen sunbeds available, so hope you are privileged. There is an entrance fee, and the use of the sunbeds is included in this payment. We paid 10 US dollars each to enter, although reading other reviews it seems that the price varies from case to case. The restaurant offers a choice of several dishes, some seasonal, which you can enjoy at one of the many tables nestled among the trees, right in front of the sea. We rented snorkel gear, but didn't see much. The cost of such equipment is 10 US dollars. The only negative point, also common in many other places on the island, is the attempt to make extra profit from tourists: when we rented the snorkeling equipment we paid in Jamaican dollars to the same person who charged us the entrance, giving him more than he asked for and waiting for the change, because "he didn't have any smaller pieces" at that moment. At the end of the day, paying our restaurant bill, I asked if such change would ever be returned, asking if it could be deducted from the final bill. Apparently the owners of the establishment knew nothing about it, and the staff person, when questioned, made up some excuse before giving us the money owed (taking it from a stack in which the "small pieces" weren't missing). An excellent day, an isolated and heavenly oasis where you can enjoy the Jamaican Caribbean Sea..but a little more respect for the customer would not hurt. Strongly recommended.

Went here with my family about a week ago, it was an amazing experience, couldn't have asked for a better location to relax and enjoy the beach and great food. I loved every moment of my time spent. Will definitely be back when I return from Florida.

Andrew has a new woman in charge and she's supposedly in charge of Calico Jack's. Went to HMB earlier this month and she told us that Calico Jack's was closed because part of the roof had blown off, on a sunny day who cares, and that we would need to make a 24 hour in advance reservation. And that she wanted 20 - 30 people to make reservations at the same time, CJ' can't handle 20-30 at the same time. And reservations...it's not Ivan's. We have been going there since they opened Jack's and when we make our annual trip to Negril next year will check to see if she's still there because we will NOT go back to HMB. Andrew go back to how YOU used to run things.

It was an epic experience at Half Moon Beach in Jamaica, I didn't know what to expect when we arrived in the dark, rainy night. When I woke up in the morning I find myself at AWE of how incredibly beautiful this place was. This place had so much to offer from the unspoiled bay, the calm clear turquoise waters, and the white sand beach. There was an incredible view of three small majestic private islands that seemed within the reach of my hand. Each cabin is very unique and rustic and has its own charms and character. They even had their own water front!! It was a privilege to be here and to see this piece of tropical paradise. On top of it all, the hospitality of Andrew and his two delightful sweet daughters was amazing.

What a fantastic off the beaten track place to stay. If you are a snorkeler this is a great bay to explore. Every time we went out we saw something different. Like an octopus. The food was great. We loved the beach where you could hang out for the day. The staff was terrific and a lot of fun. What a great week we spent made better by our gracious hosts.

Just a fifteen minute drive from Negril Half Moon Beach is a beautiful spot to spend the day. Bar/Restaurant serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Grilled lobster is great. Fabulous spot. Try it. You'll like it.

Fun experience got to snorkel around an island that you get taken to on a boat. Had lunch, which was lobster, rice and beans, and some sort of delicious slaw. Got to see some sea cucumbers, neon fish, and 3 different types of urchins. Would definetly recommend the visit.

Nice but a bit expensive. This is a really beautiful small cove. There is an entrance fee of $1000 (£6). There are hammocks and sunbeds available and included in the price. There is small island with a bar that you can take a boat to and strangely the price quoted is for one way! Definitely worth a visit, but call them for the shuttle which at $5 US return pp return is a lot better than the $3500 (£21) that we paid for a taxi. You should definitely visit. They have live music some days but check with them first.

A hidden beauty, this private lagoon offers unforgettable experience by the beach. Reggae music at background by the bar, delicious food (especially the lobsters!) and amazing atmosphere make this place so special that you wouldn't want to leave, and if you stay by the evening - the sunsets will give you the most romantic time if you're with your loved one. This place has cottages which can be rented for your vacation - they are very cosy and sitting right by the water. What is more, this is the place where you can also take a ride to Calico Jack Pirate bar in the sea, and can even order to have your food delivered there! This place is certainly greatly recommended to anyone considering Negril as destination!

Great place, fantastic beach, good food, a little piece of heaven! They have cabins to rent. Really cozy and nice. Don't expect big luxury, but decent rustic cabins. This place feels like home, with great staff and a quiet atmosphere.
