    If I could give 0 STARS I would. I highly advise- DO NOT BOOK YOUR TRAVEL with THIS COMPANY. NON PUNCTUAL and they do NOT communicate. They will try to discredit this review- but believe me. The driver and the assistant showed up 30min late- like it was no big deal. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Book only with Jamaican Limited Tours! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They pick up from multiple hotels and if they gave you a time- they will more than likely NOT be there on time. So DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or YOUR MONEY! They had us late to the airport!!!! Shanagay and Leon were the driver and assistant!

    Our airport transfer drivers were great and had such positive energy. Best advice regarding excursions book your excursions either before you arrive or as soon as possible after you arrive. Be mindful of Jamaica’s COVID lockdown polices. We arrived Friday evening. My husband wanted to visit the popular Appleton Estate rum distillery in the middle of Jamaica’s famous Blue Mountains. Because of Jamaica’s COVID polices this place was only open Thursday- Saturday. Including many tourists places in the mountain area. Saturday morning I was unable to book a tour offered through the Amstar reps at our resort. We stayed at Secrets St. James at Montego Bay, Jamaica. The Amstar representative was supposed to be at the preferred club lounge where we were staying at 7:30 but never arrived. The tour left the hotel at 8:00 am. I quickly made my way to the main lobby area on the Wild Orchid side and spoke to Shanice from the tour company. She was AWESOME! She managed to book us a private tour with a driver to visit the distillery and YS Falls that had also originally been offered online. She also did this with two phones to hear ears. Talk about multitasking! The price was steep, for $325 our tour driver Lincoln Black took us to YS Falls and Appleton Rum Distillery. My husband at first was a little concerned about the price of the tour. But once Lincoln started up the mountain roads EVERY DOLLAR I gave Lincoln our driver was WORTH IT! To visit these places took 2.5 hours each way driving alone. I and my husband never would have been able to do that kind of driving in the steep VERY narrow Jamaican mountain roads. By the time we finished our trip we had gone through three or four mountain parishes. With just the two of us traveling Lincoln provided a host of topics about Jamaica from politics to the mountain culture. With his knowledge we got a true feel of what it meant to live and work in the mountains away from the large tourist towns of Kingston and Montego Bay. His knowledge also provided us with beautiful background history for Jamaica’s past slave plantation system to today’s tourism focus industry. He provided the good and the bad stories that as an American in politics I took to heart that I currently see America going down a similar path when it comes to infrastructure. Lincoln told us how infrastructures namely roads don’t get repaired until election time and that the country needs to find more ways to become one with their country’s industries to produce the capital needed to help lift up the people to better pay and livelihood. Online this tour costs $150 a person and included a safari tour, entrance fees and lunch. We ended up having to pay the entrance fees and skipped lunch but luckily we had a huge breakfast so we were fine. I loved going private because with COVID we didn’t have to be on a cramp tour bus all day and we could come and go at our own pace. It was fabulous! Either way you choose Amstar provided the best experience for our first time in Jamaica.

    Honestly the rules and regulations are ridiculous. The people are nice don’t get me wrong but the policies are meant to screw you up. How is that you book an activity ahead of time but it’s not secure until you get there and re pick the dates. We weren’t able to do our activities on the day we chose which caused us to not be able to do one of our activities unless we booked an extra activity in which we just went ahead and did. We got to the horseback riding and had to wait around 3 hours until we were able to actual ride the horses. They want you to spend even more money at these places when you already have an all inclusive hotel room. While waiting we decided this was a waste of time and wanted to cancel the actives we had planned for tomorrow because we didn’t want to waste more time and not enjoy our resort. We had no idea we’d be waiting around for hours and hours basically spending even more money. We wanted a refund for the next days activities because we didn’t want to keep wasting time and money after paying all the money we paid. We literally just booked the activities today for tomorrow because of “policy” and they won’t allow us to have a refund. They want to keep our money but still let us cancel. I would understand if there was a cancellation fee but to not refund us at all is a total rip off? Their rules are meant to screw you. If you can’t have the activities you booked for then they shouldn’t even allow you to book at all and take your money until the activity is secure. Literally wasting our vacation sitting around waiting for a 30 minute activity.

    Booked Blue Hole And Dunns River Falls and it was okay. I’ll say from the beginning it started as a good experience since they were very punctual. We stopped at three more hotels before finally making our way to the first excursion. The bus unfortunately had no tints, and the AC wasn’t the best which made it a hot transportation, especially since we spent so much time in the bus. The blue hole was a good experience, everyone was nice and recommended it. We stopped at a gift shop, where we were given a Jamaican patty, it was pretty good but found it to be a waste of time to spend almost an hour at the gift shop. After that we went on the following excursion, although it was extremely overcrowded it was still a good time, and enjoyed myself. Now the bad, we stopped at a beach on the way back around 4 pm to have lunch that was included. What a waste of time. Beach was honestly kind of boring, the food and drinks were okay, from my point of view, I think it’s better to lower the price of the excursion, and remove the “lunch” that they give you. My hotel is already all-inclusive, the food and beach at the resort are way nicer so why have to spend another 2 hours at this location? This made me and the other guest on the excursion dislike the excursion itself since everyone by that time is just ready to go home. It was an unnecessary 12-hour day that could’ve been avoided by just going back to the resort after the second excursion is completed for guest to keep enjoying their resort instead.

    My wife and I arrived for a first time visit last night. I would give 10 stars if it was available. All the people are extremely nice and professional. I can say this after being recently retired, and have been through many walks of life. Most impressively was our driver Peter, he was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. All the information he gave us on our drive to our resort cannot be found in books . To me he represents his Jamaican nation and heritage with high regards. It was a pleasure just to meet him. All in all, my wife and I are extremely grateful

    UPDATE: THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! They have you email them but once they get your information they no longer respond to you. My next step is to handle this thru the credit card. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR EXCURSIONS. AVOID THEM. Unfortunately I used them for my excursions in Jamaica. They did not give us all the information for the rafting excursion. We did not find out about the limitations of the rafting until we got to the location and find out we could not participate on the rafting. When we they took us back to the resort we were informed that we could not get a refund although we did not sign off on the waiver that prevented us from being able to participate in the rafting excursion. Again, I strongly advise DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The customer service is HORRIBLE.

    All was well.   The staff at the airport, our drivers (T-Rob and O'Neill) were great.  The agent at the resort, we talked a great deal about which excursions would be accessible - so when we come back with our daughter she can take part.

    Round-trip transportation didn't happen. My flight was canceled and even though they track your flight, there was no communication to get the next booking confirmed and after asking the hotel staff since the amstar rep was gone for the day, what my next move was. I was told to just come back down the next morning same time and I'll be fine. Flight was canceled again but I came down since the amstar rep was there to rebook my departure for the new time and was told there's nothing they can do because I never communicated with them about the changes, which I did try but on the other hand, they never communicated anything to me, not a confirmation, email, questions call this, re-booking link, etc couldn't even find their on site staff. Why do I have to completely go out my way wasting hours of my vacation chasing these guys and they won't even give me a refund. I would recommend a normal taxi.

    UPDATE: They took care of everything and I'll be receiving a refund. I adjusted the rating after they solved my situation. The first day the driver was rude to my girlfriend and I about being 6 minutes late. The next family was more than 10 minutes late and he smiled and laughed with them. That's fine, no problem. Yesterday and today, my stomach had been upset as we adjust to their food. Both times I had to call a cab at a stop and get driven back home. The company refuses to refund any amount. The busses made it an extremely bumpy ride which further irritated my stomach. I was hoping for some understanding but not with them. Will not be recommending or using again, we are scheduled to come back in February. We will not be using them. If all the companies are like this, I'll just stick to my resorts.

    If I could give them negative stars, I truly would. My money has been stolen by this fraudulent company and I strongly urge you to find any other company than them. I wanted more than 30min before I was unceremoniously grouped onto random van with others where they dropped us at different hotels. The communication was subpar at best. We were never told that we needed to meet the Amstar representative the next day at our hotel lobby to confirm our return travel details and get a pick up time and area. The Amstar representative that was supposed to be at my hotel was not there for us to confirm our transportation details back to the airport. We have been calling customer service nonstop and no one has answered. When we finally got through, they put us on hold for 30min until they closed and hung up. Not only is this terrible customer service, but you are quite literally stranding us in a foreign country at the risk of missing our flight all because of your careless disregard for those who put their money and trust in your company.

    Our driver Garfield picked us up on time. He was very nice and informative. He gave us some history on Jamaica. He is the best. Next time we come to Jamaica we will request him again. We had an excursion to Dunns river falls, our tour guide Chen was very knowledgeable about Jamaica, we even went to a lil shop for souvenirs and we took some shots also...Lol.

    Amstar was on point from picking us up from the airport to dropping us back off. Patricia greeted us at the resort and set up our return home itinerary. Patricia also ensured a great excursion experience and followed up with us multiple times to make sure our stay was excellent. This is our fifth trip using Amstar and they have never failed to deliver a great experience.

    This company ruined my birthday. Do not use them. I booked an excursion on line and when I got there the representative Tricia said the tour was cancel because they did not have enough people. Totally unprofessional. Dont have an excursion that you can not honor. I was then booked to an upgraded dirty water rafting excursion, which I had to pay for an upgraded fee. They did not want to do any curtesy upgrade even tho they messed up. When I got to the tour the tour guy further took advantage of me by selling some rocks for $20 which I was told those limestone rocks can be found anywhere. It was basically a scam that these people use during the rafting trip. Do not use them. Customer service is poor. Not to mentioned the transportation company to the excursion crammed like 50 people in a bus that was met to hold 30 people(just an estimation).

    On my trip to Jamaica booked an excursion to Dunn’s river falls, we waited in the lobby for an hour, and the shuttle never came. We were very disappointed because it was the last day of our trip and now we will never be able to see the falls. The amstar representative was apologetic, but would not give us a discount. We booked another excursion, leaving later that day, but it was not for the falls because those excursions leave early in the morning. Beware if you book an excursion through Amstar I guess if not enough people sign up they will just cancel your excursion and will not notify you of it. Amstar, if you wanna make it right, please give me a refund or discount some thing.

    Booked 3 excursions through company, did 2 of 3 and was promised a refund for the horseback ride. Never received refund, multiple attempts to contact company no response. Representative at hotel was not helpful ... bad customer service.

    These people are scam artists. They take your money give you a wristband with no receipts making it impossible to get a refund as they promise you a ride back but DONT. I advise anyone traveling to have their transportation ready prior to landing . AMSTAR SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AND I WILL BE GOING TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE

    Outstanding customer service! Amstar was the perfect complement to our trip. Our excursions were great and the transportation to and from the airport was better than we could have hoped for, with quality cars and drivers. We were even helped at the airport, which was big bonus that we didn't realize we really needed. We highly recommend!!

    I did not have travel arrangements with Amstar but one of their employees in passing offered to help my wife and I at the airport in Montego Bay. His name was Odane Clarke and even though I did not reserve transportation with him, he went above and beyond to give us information and took us to where we needed to go. He was very welcoming and helpful in preparing us for our next visit and I will gladly book all my future trips with Amstar. It was very refreshing to receive this level of service in today's climate.

    We went to Jamaica for a family holiday and used Amstar transportation to and from the airport. Everything was very smooth and organized when it came to finding them at the airport and at the hotel. They are amazing at keeping time and very friendly folks. We accidentally left my bag at the hotel and the lovely Monique Dunbar was so gracious to help us track it down and get it to the airport in time for my flight. She swiftly got in contact with the hotel to get my bag identified, then got in contact with a taxi to bring it to us. I cannot stop singing her praises. The end of my trip got started to have a sour note but her amazing service turned it right back around. I love everything about using Amstar and Monique made me just completely fall in love. Going to keep using them for a trips to Jamaica, hopefully we get to see Monique again.

    Amstar provided the airport shuttle to ocho ríos. The bus wasn’t the most comfortable but I’m 6’ 4” so I’m rarely ever comfortable. Our driver was courteous and pleasant. Minus one star for adding an extra 30 minutes to an already long drive by stopping at some ridiculously overpriced souvenir shop were you can’t even look around without pushy employees trying to get you to buy things. Called it a rest stop. I’m sure some people appreciate it so they can pick up some things before getting to the resort but I was so ready to check in and start my vacation. All said, I would still recommend them.

    My husband and I met with Novalene. She booked our excursions for us! She took her time and explained each excursion for us to better decide which one will suit us. She had us set up with Kevin Morgan our driver! Let me just say Kevin was the BEST! He made us super comfortable as if he we were right at home. Kevin gave us some interesting facts about Jamaica’s history. I learned a lot and he recommended other things we should try when we return. This transportation company did not let me down at all! Completely exceeded my expectations. If you have a choice to choose your driver. KEVIN MORGAN is HIGHLY recommend 😁

    The representative at my hotel quoted 2 prices for the rafting excursion.  There was a $20 difference in the prices. I asked what's the difference in the 2 packages. She said nothing. So of course I chose the less expensive company.  Well the driver was 30 minutes late picking us up from the hotel. The exercusion to Negril was ok although some of the activities was not open such as the pool.  Food and drinks was also not included.  I also paid for the airport transfer to and from the hotel. The arrival to hotel was fine but my departure transfer did not pick me and guest up from the hotel. We waited 30 minutes from the time they gave us before taking a taxi to the airport.  I emailed the company to request a refund to no avail. Research the exercusions before your trip. You may find cheaper deals. However,  I will never use this company again.

    SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Avoid this company like the plague! We booked tours with them while visiting Jamaica. A month later they charged me AGAIN for our tours ($520). I emailed customer service and no response. We've canceled our debit card and have had to file a fraud claim with our bank. I'd you see an Amstar representative at your resort RUN!

    I do not recommend. I made a tour to seven miles beach. The tour was 3 hours in the beach and other 3 hours on a cafe to catch tourists very expensive for the service. I didn’t payed to go to a cafe. I asked for seven miles beach. Chose another company if you want something serious

    Earl was an amazing driver ! Car broke down on our return. Another Amstar saw us in the side of the rode and took us to the airport within 5 min. Got to the airport and someone fast tracked us through. He was amazing . The entire staff is wonderful and care about their guests . Definitely will book again . Thank you all for everything 💕

    No complaints! I’ve used AMSTAR a number for times now for different places in the Caribbean. This trip with AMSTAR was my best experience by far. Thank you resort, representative, Kenesha Levy for taking care of us so well. She went above and beyond. She made sure our excursion bus arrived and escorts us to the right bus at the resort. She even helped us book a Covid test at a place that was flexible with our time. When someone got hurt during the excursion because she slipped by accident, Kenesha was very caring and made sure we all were okay. She offered to take us to the nurse office if needed. I hope to get more representatives like her on my future trips using AMSTAR

    Amstar was TERRIBLE! I would never use them for anything! We were going to Secrets Papagayo in Costa Rica and when we booked the trip they had the option for scuba diving listed in their excursions, however when we were ready to book the week before our trip it was no longer listed, so I called the number on the website to try to get some info and the person had absolutely no idea about anything, but said they would have someone get in touch with me. Edmin Grijalva contacted me via email and said he could help and asked me for my phone number. He called, we explained exactly what we wanted, and he said no problem, and quoted us some prices that seemed really outrageous, so I asked him to send the pricing and details to me via email. Once we got them it really was what he quoted over the phone. We dive fairly frequently all off the Caribbean and Central America, and this was not even close to anything we have ever paid before (2x the normal price) so we decided to wait and check with the resort when we arrived. After check-in we went straight to the Amstar office, and they informed us that they were not offering diving. No wonder Edmin was charging more than 2x what a normal dive would cost. Wonder if we even would have had a reservation. UGH!!! With that, they said they could not help, but gave us the number of a dive shop and told us we would have to take it to the consigner to try to book with them. We asked if they had more than one place to recommend and they said no. So we went t the consigner and called the dive shop and they informed us they were not diving that week. Weird because the weather and visibility were great. Since Amstar had no other suggestions we just started googling places and trying to find someplace that would pick us up since we did not have a car. We ended up diving with Rich Coast Diving and it was AMAZING! One of the best dive shops we have ever used!!!!! So when we got back to the resort I stopped by the Amstar office, however no one was there (middle of the day during normal hours), so I waited. About 15-20 minutes later a guy came back. I explained what had happened and said I wanted to let them know about an amazing dive shop so they could have another option if other guests were looking for dive trips. The guy was very dismissive and completely uninterested in what I had to say, and said they recommend the dive shop they originally gave us. I said that was nice, but they said they were not diving that week even though we saw them on our second day on the water, so not sure what that was about??? Anyway, don’t waste your time with Amstar, they could care less about your vacation and clearly try to price gouge you if you don’t know any better!

    Amstar’s service never ceases to fail, this is our third time using them. They were easy to locate at the airport in Montego Bay and helped us get to our bus destination extremely fast. Once at Iberostar, we found our rep Chereish, and she was always pleasant and professional from start to finish. She was able to juggle several groups at one time and still keep calm and remained patient and complete the job as needed. She helped rearrange our excursions so we can do some with the group of 25 we were traveling with. Our drivers and guides were friendly and informative as well, Hugh, Cardo and Juaniece. Thank you Amstar employees for your outstanding service!

    I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with Camilla, our sales person/rep in our hotel, Ocean Coral Spring. She sold us on excursions that were not included and the continued to lie to us. It started off by over charging us by “accident” - could’ve been an honest mistake, we let it slide and received a refund as soon as I caught the mistake. A few hours later she contacts me to tell me she’s refunding me $80 because zip lining won’t be operating the day of my tour. Once again, understandable but disappointed since I was looking forward to it! Because of this change, this moved our 8:30AM excursion pickup time over to 11AM. Next day comes, and we get a call at 8:30AM to our room saying our bus was here for pickup. We were extremely confused since our pickup time was moved. We ended up getting on the 11AM bus where we show up to Chukka and the zip line was indeed operating that day. I was furious that I had paid for this and then lied to. There was nothing I could do at this point to get myself on the zip line excursion since my tour no longer included it and our pick up time was moved to later so I wouldn’t have had the time anyway. The icing on the cake was when we showed up to Yaaman. Our sales rep promised us the Dun Bougies and access to the river. Upon our arrival we learned that our excursion did NOT include the river which the rep clearly told us it was included. Specifically because we mentioned to her we were weighing out options because we saw the tour for cheaper online. She told us their excursion included the river, transportation and lunch which the one online didn’t. We figured we would have a better deal booking with her then. Luckily, workers on location at Yaaman were kind enough to allow us in after we explained what happened. We called the rep at the hotel and she denied ever saying that. Needless to say, this company and their rep was total chaos. Will never be booking with Amstar again.

    Used Amstar for transportation to and from The Montego Bay airport and resort in Negril. The drivers were nice and professional. There was a very minir issue with scheduling for our return to the airport but it was worked out quickly. Our driver from our resort to the airport was fantastic. Sheldon Campbell was his name and the ride with him was almost like having a private guided tour. He pointed out points of interest and we talked about food and culture and some of the things he would recommend seeing if/when we visit again. Very pleased with the service Amstar provided.

    Amstar MDC services from Jamaica have been degradable and a total nightmare from the minute we landed to the airport. Stasha, Shareish and Alexia should NOT represent any company which goals are to provide families and couples a safe memorable experience. Booked a half day 6 hour trip and ended up in an jungle for 13 hours plus. People got lost in transit. Van had no ac. Driver tried to sell you trips that he does on the side. Park rangers were violent, bullies and cruel. Long story of horror. Don't book here!!

On our last day there we decided to take the island tour where we were on the party boat, had the opportunity to go snorkeling, and climb Dunn's River Falls.
