    While in Jamaica I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The hotel appears to have had some renovations done. Our room was gorgeous, it was spotless, I loved the bathroom so much I had to take a picture. The view from the balcony for breakfast was beautiful. The view is beautiful...period!! The staff was so pleasant and so very accommodating. After having such a horrible time at a hotel in my own city recently, it reminded me I really need to give Hotel Grand A View all the praises, because they definitely made our stay a memorable one. I have already recommended them, and will use their services again. Hope to be back shortly 😊😊.

    Most amazing hotel ever. Exceptional staff, amazing rooms, and a perfect experience. View off the veranda is exceptional. Decor surrounding exterior is very well as well. By far one of the nicest hotels in downtown Mobay, couldn’t ask for more. Continental breakfast is a full service, made to order breakfast including eggs, bacon, curried chicken, fried dumplings, juices, fruit, and everything in between. 10/10

    First, I didn't get the room I reserved and no compensation was made. On Monday, July 3rd, around 1 PM or so I exited my room (#316) and upon my return to my room around 6 PM I noticed that my bed was made up, but no other activity had taken place such as restroom cleaning and towels. I immediately went out and asked staff (a guy who was cleaning on the 3rd floor) to give me two towels. Please review the camera for Monday between 1 and 6 PM to see who entered my room on Monday. The next morning, Tuesday, July 4th, I attempted to enter my hotel room safe and was denied entrance. I tried several times as the code I used to secure my items in the safe is the only code I use so I would not have forgotten it. I immediately went down stairs and asked the front desk person (I believe her name was Marsha) and she gave me a code to try. That failed as well. Once someone came in around 9:30 AM, I was able to gain access to my items in the safe. When I left that day I had two envelopes in the safe. One (1) with $50 in one dollar bills only and one envelop with one (1) $100; (8) $10's; (6) $20's, and (11) $5's totaling $405. Upon my inspection of the envelopes I only had $16 in ones; $30 in tens; $60 in twenties; and $20 in fives totaling $126 (photo attached) I called once I got to the airport and Marsha was no assistance and made me feel as though it was my fault for not reporting it when I was there. At that time I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. I have empathy for the communities I visited is why I didn't want to make a fuss, however, after venting my frustration with the driver he encouraged me to report it so this won't happen to other visitors. On a good note I would like to thank Chris for the tour, Wayne for picking me up and dropping me off, the ladies who scheduled my tour and drivers, Janet in the restaurant and the entire restaurant staff, and the lady who cleaned my room on Thursday - Sunday. This email is not for me to be at fault for not reporting it in person, but merely for you to be aware in case this happens to another guest as I have recently read on other reviews such as 4/12/2023 for another guest. Hotel Grand A View Response on 7/14/2023: We were informed by the taxi driver that you refused to pay for your taxi service because you missed some money from your hotel room. Since the drivers operate independent of the hotel, he was expecting to be paid for the service provided to you. It is quite unfortunate that you did not pay for his service. My response: It is required and mandatory that guests pay in advance either in person or at the small desk that's set up at the right of the elevator when scheduling tours or excursions, which I did each time I requested a taxi. I paid $20 and tipped $20 to the driver for my trip to the hotel from the airport upon my arrival and paid $30 at the tourism scheduling desk and tipped $20 to the driver, for my trip from the hotel to the airport upon my departure. I only had two drivers (Wayne and Chris) during my time there as stated in my original email. Please, do not disrespect my intelligence. Thank you, Derrick Chance

    We stayed here for the weekend and I must say the experience was top tier. The facilities were clean, room service was prompt and polite, the restaurant staff and food was great (chef’s kiss for the jerk wings and stamp and go) the front desk ladies and last but not least the female security (can’t remember her name) very professional and she had a warm aura. We’ll definitely be staying there again.

    The rooms are very spacious with big bathrooms and showers that can fit up to three people. If you like to have a big breakfast in the morning then this is your place. Not all rooms will have an oceanic view.

    Hotel Grand A View definitely gets a recommendation from me. The room was spacious, clean, and had updated amenities. Most important was the customer service which was beyond exceptional especially from Beverly and Wayne. They both made the trip a million times better and made the hotel and Jamaica feel like home. They went over and beyond making sure we got to experience the tours, provided recommendations, and even ensured we got transportation going and coming from locations. Looking forward, the stay could have been better with more variety in the food options available and more attention is needed to the pool cleanliness. Overall a really good stay and the customer service made it all the more worthwhile

    I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel, as there were no reviews at the time I reserved our room. We stayed one night on our way to our Negril resort. Our room was very large and clean and had an amazing view. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast was delicious as well. Before we arrived, I did send an email asking about a couple things and did not get a response. I called the hotel, and the person I spoke to was very pleasant and answered all my questions. She also apologized for my not receiving an email response and said that she thought it had been sent out. We had two small issues with our room (the safe did not work and the sink basin leaked onto the counter). I told the front desk staff on checkout of these problems, and they were very apologetic and said they would have those issues addressed. We would have said something sooner, but it did not really affect us as we were only there the one night. Overall, the stay was great, and we would definitely stay here again!

    ok so I was very nerves at first I read a lot of reviews at the other places and I wasn't to sure. I'm going to try and give the best break down. so, once we got there it was someone at the gate once we went in there is not a word in the dictionary to describe the welcoming approach that we received. the lady's at the desk was ALWAYS very nice to me and my children they was very easy to understand as well the room service ALWAY has a smile very nice. Some one was always at the gate so i ALWAYS felt safe with me and my kids. ok now if your going with your kids just know everything is less than mins away but is a 24-30 walk. i personally wouldnt come bk to this location with my kids but if your coming with your friends or boo make sure you go to floor 3 best floor. my kids and i also tried the restaurant and im from Houston the food was a 1 no season at all. the pool was very clean the room was nice any problem i had i was able to call and they came.there was ALWAY CLEAN TOWEL when we asked.the staff here and the lady at the gate was super great i love it.

    I had to stay in Montego Bay overnight to catch a flight first thing in the morning and had booked here. I absolutely loved the hotel and everything about it. The rooms were modern, spacious and extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond. The restaurant was also really great. The only thing I’d say is the shuttle price from the airport to the hotel was a bit unusually high, but I dont want that to take away from how lovely the hotel stay was.

    We loved our stay at Hotel Grand A View. Just like the name says, the view is certainly grand! it's on a mountain looking over the ocean. the rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. the staff was so nice and helpful. the Pool was nice, clean and fun for the kids. Finally, the food was delicious! We ate dinner there and I loved it. the grilled fish with passionfruit sauce was on point! thanks for a great stay.

    What a beautiful facility!! My husband and I had booking complications at our original hotel reserved in Mo Bay and Hotel Grand A View came to our rescue. Everyone was so pleasant and took such good care of us. The sunrises and sunsets visible from nearly every corner of the hotel were breathtaking. The FOOD!!! Authentic Jamaican recipes with American food mixed throughout (but why would you eat anything other than the real stuff when visiting this lovely nation!) The beach/Hip Strip is somewhat walkable if you’re comfortable with the traffic and in decent enough shape to climb the hills back up, but they also always have taxis and a concierge available to set up your day. I much preferred my stay here vs another big name resort due to the feeling of authenticity. I felt safe and taken care of the entire time.

    Used to be the Grandiosa Hotel. Not sure if they're under new management or if they just renovated, but it is a much nicer experience. It felt like a modern boutique hotel. Based on the price of the rooms I would say value for money, especially as breakfast is included.

    I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Grand A View. The location is great, central about 10 minutes drive from the airport and a 3 minute drive from the Hip Strip. I wouldn't recommend walking (I did it and wouldn't do it again.) It's locally owned which I proactively look for when I travel. The view from the 2nd floor and restaurant is gorgeous and you get free breakfast. The room was very clean, simple modern and spacious. Whenever I left I always came back to a cleaned room and made bed. Only thing I would have wanted in the room was a comforter. I always feel cold so I travel with a blanket and that worked for me. I'll will definitely stay here again the next time I travel to Mobay. Great value for the price.

    Grand A View was an excellent experience for us. The people at the front desk were welcoming and kind. It was more of a personalized experience and the room was great! The AC was quiet and the room was clean. The pool was also great and the views were amazing. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and everyone kept complimenting the chef. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for something close to the airport.

    I loved it at Hotel Grand A view. At first I was skeptical because the hotel had no reviews. However after arrival, my mind was put at ease. The place was lovely, clean, modern, and well decorated. The staff was exceptional and everyone was very professional and welcoming. The food was incredible and it was an overall positive experience for my family and I. I will definitely be staying here again and I would recommend friends and family in a heartbeat.

    Hotel Grand A View is the best place to stay, when you check into your room nice people take your luggage and escort you to your room. Next when you enter your room it smells fresh and nice, then you go down stair and eat breakfast WITH THE BEST VIEW EVER. I had a waiter and a waitress and they were both the nicest people in the world their names are Janet and Romaine they have respect and the food wait was very short and yummy. Romaine has a nice calming voice and he was so respectful. I kept asking for mackerel and they kept saying they don't have any today then Janet said " I will buy you some tomorrow", but sadly I was not there but the next day I got mackerel and It was so good I cant wait to go back the experience was very nice this hotel is also good for kids because the have family trips like going to the beach and watching the sunset which I did with my family, and going rafting. For your next vacation please pick Hotel Grand A View!!!!!

    The rooms were clean. Comfortable. With individual Air condition unit and TV complete with firestick for viewing. The service was great for booking to check-in and check out. Did not try the restaurant so unable to comment on that. Spent one night. The absence of the additional star is for 2 main reasons. 1. At booking we were not informed of an incidental but refundable fee. So this was quite a surprising request when we arrived. Also, considering the room was not examined at check out, it seemed a bit unnecessary. 2. I would have liked to have received at least some water in the refrigerator, given that the restaurant closed by a particular time and someone not familiar with the area would not be able to get even this. Despite the above, we had a comfortable stay. Missed breakfast since we had to leave early. Hopefully next time around.

    Hotel Grand A View exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment you arrive, the front desk staff greets you with a warm welcome and makes you feel at home. We got to the room and it was spotless. The hotel is very modern and up to date, the pool is the perfect size and never crowded and the complimentary breakfast every morning is a great plus. We would definitely stay here every time we visit Jamaica. Room 202 was the perfect view for the pool and the amazing ocean. We will highly recommend this Hotel to all our Jamaica bound friends and relatives. 10 out of 10, way to go Grand A View!!

    Phenomenal service, we hosted my high school 50th anniversary award banquet and everything was spectacular. On behalf of all of us at Anchovy High school we say thanks for a memorable evening. Some of us stayed at the hotel and we loved the complimentary breakfast.

    I enjoyed this hotel with the exception of the bed. The bed was rock hard which left me hurting the next day. The good things about this place and why I gave it 4 stars. 1. Location and proximity to the airport is great. 2. The view from the upper level is amazing. 3. The food was good, could use more local options, but nonetheless it was good. 4. Staff is very friendly and welcoming 5. Environment felt safe and even though we were close to downtown it did not feel that way. 6. Hands down my favorite part of this hotel was the bathroom. Overall I would definitely stay here again, it was great.

    This place was really nice. Rooms were clean, the view of Mo Bay was definitely awesome. Service and security was good. They have a really nice balcony where you can have small get together and chill while overlooking the Mo Bay coastline.

    We only stayed one night here before we traveled on to our destination. It was dark when we arrived but the next morning we really were able to enjoy the view! Hotel staff us very friendly, room we stayed in was updated and very clean. Just a few miles from the airport and hotel is gated with security. This is going to be our overnight spot when we travel to Jamaica again.

    Wonderful hotel with a breathtaking view. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good showers. I spent most of my time in the large balcony, having a coffee and taking in the spectacular view of the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are incredible. Raymon in particular was very friendly, courteous and generous with his service during breakfast. Thank you for the wonderful stay, will be coming back! πŸ’―

    This place was amazing... Room and public areas were very clean. And i felt very safe and comfortable. Friendly staff who were all very professional..they were always ready to answer any questions and assist where needed. The food was also very good. Was too tired on the first night to go out so we decided to try the restaurant... No regrets... We dined there every night... Thanks for a great stay. Will definitely be back...

    I had the king room suite, I believe. RM 306, which over look the Terrence and Seaview. The room was very spacious, but the TV was small for the size of the room, but who watches TV on vacation anyway. I traveled solo as an African American , so for me, the hotel was nice but no activities or many people there during my stay. I felt like I was the only one at the hotel lol so for couples, older individuals, this hotel would be a gem. Plus, you have to shuttle or catch a taxi to the strip/ beach, which stops at 5pm. I'm young and athletic, so I walked everywhere on the island, so I felt safe. As a plant based person, the hotel had vegan options and accommodated me for breakfast. The staff is very friendly, intentional, and willing to assist in any way possible. If I travel to Jamaica with a lady, I'll definitely stay here again but not solo...

    It is our absolute pleasure to share our experience with you all after staying at Hotel Grand A View. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel a couple weeks ago, from the moment we phone for information they were at our service, aim to please. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern, pleasant friendly and professional staff its a feeling of home away from home. I must mention Marsha among other staff at the front desk exceptional in every way assuring us they will accommodate to make our special day special, and it was perfect, other guest of the occaution shared the same sentiments. Housekeeping, they respected our privacy, thanks to the chef great tasting food, breakfast was excellent, thanks to waiter Romaine ,waitress Janet, security, we felt safe. we will definitely visit again. Awesome experience Thank you

    The room was nice and clean, but the amenity experience was the issue. The primary reason I booked the hotel was for the airport and beach shuttle--neither were available during my stay. One stopped running after 11:00 am, although the posted service sheet said the last trip would go at 3:30 pm. So, I booked a taxi through the hotel to the Hip Strip for $3,000 JMD round trip, not a big deal. The bigger deal was that the airport shuttle was closed the next day, yet I was charged another $3,000 JMD for one-way to the airport which was closer. More than money for me, it was the principle of how it all went down. Although a nice hotel in itself with yummy breakfast, added unnecessary stress on my stay.

    I love this Hotel the entire staff treatment of me was absolutely wonderful very professional in every way Ms Rickeens and her family staff went out their way to wish me a Happy Birthday and I will never forget I'm asking everyone who reads this to stay at Hotel-Grand-A-View a excellent and extremely beautiful Hotel with top notch employees in the restaurant ask for Romane, Stacey,as well as the entire staff they also have a amazing Chef the front desk staff incredible ladies are very professional and more than ready to check you in a beautiful room also the housekeepers clean your room on request they also have two outstanding gentleman to help you to your room and last but not least the security overnight is amazing outstanding and absolutely professional security garud Coullin I really miss you. The entire management team is absolutely spectacular. The owner has a very bright and potential Hotel that people from all over the world should and will experience the professional services they will receive and also will return to The Hotel-Grand-A-View. I will be back again but I will book for me December 2022 look for then. Until then my Monteago Bay family Thank you for everything and all that you done to make my 16 day vacation a great stay in Jamaica

    This was a great experience for me. The customer service was superb. The breakfast was great. The balcony view at this hotel is therapeutic, not to mention the spacious and modernly designed rooms. Overall, lovely hotel.

    This hotel deserves more than 5 stars! From the beginning to the end we were treated super well. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. They do everything to make you feel at home. Large en clean rooms. A little tip, when you want to go do something, ask one of the lovely ladies at the front desk. They will arrange everything perfectly for you and make sure everything runs smoothly. We will definitely be back! Ps. Maruena Smith and the other lady at the front desk were very good hostesses!
