Ok… now this craft market is an experience. If you’re looking for things to do, want to connect with the people, or just get out of your hotel/resort this is a solid destination. Extreme shoppers that value culture come here! Now if your bougie, don’t like to talk to people or just don’t wanna be bothered, don’t come here lol! Yes the sellers can be pushy but hey they’re salesman/women it is what it is. If you have a keen eye you can spot really special things (hand carved dice, Marcus Garvey artifacts, unique handmade art) however, many vendors are selling the same or similar items. I felt safe, a bit overwhelmed, but glad I visited. Great stop for small gifts, shirts, keychains, magnets, or anything that says JAMAICA! And to the vendors… relax mon!

People were quite pushy, most of the market was closed, and everything felt very mass produced, as every stall seemed to have the same items.

There's nothing crazy or culture about this spot. It's all the same junk that you get at all the souvenir shops but more expensive and you get hassled left and right. I definitely won't go again.

Went in very early, around 9:00 am, and shops were just opening. The ambiance, colors, and vibes are good, as well as the artifacts. Be prepared to bargain, and invariably, you will be fleeced. Vendors swarmed us and tried to power sell. Though it is not intimidating, we ended up buying and paying more. There is one section where the goods were not in stalls, but on the floor and tables. Here, the prices and vendors were reasonable, and we enjoyed in this section than in the stalls where we felt we were being robbed. In the end, we had good coconut water / jelly, a nice couple were selling the. Then, a taxi driver charged us he would have done for locals. He knew we were tourists, still was magnanimous. You get good and bad people everywhere. Bottom line: Goods good, but you have to bargain. They expect you to bargain. Hence, jack up the prices.

Good vibes, safe place to shop, you can find little gift items, souvenirs. Yes, merchants can be little much, in trying to sell you their good, but it's all goods...just relax, and enjoy the experience. Remember, you are in control, and you don't have to buy anything. Take the time to talk, 'reason' with them. They're just trying to make a living.

I went in to look around but had no money because I didn't know how much to take out the atm, and my Google decided to take the day off. There is a stall run by two sisters. One of them walked me through the money without asking for anything. I got no bad vibes and trusted her. 😌 I gave her a tip for helping and bought from her shop. The other stalls are TOO PUSHY. I felt bombarded. I completely understand their need to make a living, but it was still overwhelming. I felt bad saying no, but I don't like being pushed or forced. They all kinda sell the same thing, but it's a nice place otherwise.

All the shops are nice. The people aren't pushy, but you know that they want the sale. If you know how to haggle, this is the pace for you.

It’s a good place to find all kinds of craft, art and souvenirs, but the vendors are quite eager and don’t really leave you space to just enjoy the space and the colors

Hard working Jamaicans bringing the best of our craft culture to the world. Stop in when you are able and get a slice of our beautiful island.

Can always fine something there. If you are not use to feeling pressure to buy don't go. Be ready to haggle and make sure to take small bills. Merchants really do not like to give you change so make sure to have exact change.

It's a good place to shop for Jamaican items/accessories. Instead of going to the Indian stores, now you can interact with real Jamaican people and experience the natural culture 🇯🇲🌺🥰. #Genuine#laughter

Yes, this has tons of local art, souvenirs, trinkets and cool stuff, but like others have said each vendor has the same stuff. The vendors we're very pushy, and one evan tried to sell us Marijuana. It was overwhelming and we just wanted to leave.

Awful. Nice items but vendors too aggressive and pushy, uncomfortable to try and shop, a little scary and intimidating. Would not go back, a shame, I did like artwork.

👍👍 Powerful place. Service is early, 7:30 am Sunday morning. Being here to worship was a deep experience. So much pain and such joy in the freedom so hard won. Everyone was warm and welcoming.
