I am a #foodie and this place is one of my favourite jerk food spots. You think everyone on the island does jerk meats? Nope most are just doing grilled meat as they have lost the art of seasoning with authentic ingredients. Stop by and try a chicken breast and you will remember what authentic jerk taste like 😋 It is a hidden gem as it is not on your usual tourist route. Don't be scared of the location just go for the experience. The area is safe and the restaurant is clean. The bar is stocked with a wide variety of alcohol (don't expect tourist drinks). The beers are cold and you can create your basic cocktails. Only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars is because there is always room for improvement.

Great food, great owners and a super fun time just a bit off the beaten track, yet less than 10 minutes from the hip strip. You want some real jerk and good company, venture away from Margaritaville and experience Jamaica, not the same crowd you eat and drink with at home. Totally safe, local prices and big thanks to those reviews that made Verona's a " must visit"

I wanted to have some authentic jerk chicken and jerk pork, and after speaking with a few locals and other tourists, I decided to give Verona's a try. I'm so happy that I did! Everything I had was amazing. The jerk chicken and jerk pork were seasoned perfectly. The chicken was so juicy, and their secret pepper sauce was so flavorful that I had to take some to go. The rice and peas, and coleslaw were really good too. Aside from the great food, the owners were so friendly and very welcoming. I can honestly see why they're rated number one for the best jerk chicken. The restaurant is about a 5 minute taxi ride from the hip strip. If you're looking for great food in a warm and welcoming environment, this place is definitely for you.

long time I haven't had a jerk chicken that was soooooo well prepared man knows his stuff... I hope they continue to uphold the standard they have set as very few places in the town have the taste they have created. #Excellence #Foodie #RealJerk Try also the pork and the fried conch!!!
