Sensei Shahin is one of the best instructors anyone could ask for he is very dedicated and committed to his students. He is always going above and beyond to help is students succeed whether it be in karate in school or life. When I first met Sensei Shahin it was to enroll my very hyper active out of control 8 year old son. Sensei Shahin still to this day works very close with my son helping him improve and helping him become a future leader of tomorrow. My son will be 14 in just a few days now and he has gone from low marks in school always talking and disruptive to a straight A model student helps assist the teachers and helps his peers in school. A now first degree black belt who helps instructs class and pass on the knowledge he has gained into future generations. Completing chores at home and staying on tasks with his school clubs as well. It took time for him to get there but as they say Rome was not built in a day. His change did not happen over night. My daughter is now following along behind him

We brought our son to this brand new Red Dragon dojo because he was previously in Taekwondo at a large studio, but we wanted a more personal experience and figured a new dojo would give us that opportunity. Upon our first visit, we knew it was perfect for us. Our son immediately clicked with Sensei Shahin and could not wait to come back, so we signed him up for the unlimited plan and he comes 4 days a week! He would come 7 if he could! This has had such a positive Impact on our son, because the studio encourages the students to be their best outside of the studio and Karate as well. They are expected to complete “STAR reports” and my son is always striving to help around the house and be better in school because of it! His favorite part of this dojo is he has a close relationship with his Sensei, who takes the time to get to know each student well and takes genuine interest in their lives. We are so impressed with Red Dragon and this dojo in particular, and highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in Karate!

Best Karate school. The instructors are incredible, they are very good with children and truly care about them. My kids really love karate now. Highly recommended to my family and friends.

My son loves learning karate from Sensei Shahin. He does a really great job of controlling the room and teaching all the kids self discipline, whilst all still having a great time. We have only been going for three weeks and my son has already progressed so much. I love how Red Dragon is also a place for community— Sensei Shahin hosts birthday parties and parents night out where the kids go play for a few hours while parents get some free time. How cool is that? We definitely look forward to our son progressing more, building confidence, and making new friends. Thank you, Sensei Shahin!

Sensei Shahin is incredible. Not only is he skilled at Karate, but he is a positive, patient, engaging instructor. My son is globally delayed and Shahin is phenomenal with him. My daughter is a perfectionist and he is amazing with her. I watch him instructing all ages and ability levels and he is remarkable with every age, to the point that my husband and I have now signed up for classes. Sensei Jim is incredible too. He too is a great instructor. Both men are humorous and engaging. I could not say enough good things about Red Dragon and Sensei Shahin. If you are considering joining, DO IT!!

We’ve met Sensei Shahin one year ago when we did our first trial in Diamond Bar. Due to traffic and freshly bloomed pandemic we haven’t enrolled. Fast forward to Spring 22 after having trials with other martial arts schools (Tae Kwon Do, Shaolin ) my kiddo was always saying: “ I love Sensei better” so we’ve decided to do another trial at the brand new dojo in Yorba Linda . My kiddo was so happy to meet Sensei Shahin one year later and he said “ Sensei it’s the best, I’ve always wanted him “ Dojo is being keep very well ventilated , super clean , plenty of benches, tables with chairs , snacks and refreshments. The thing we love ? The enthusiasm which floats all over the dojo from Sensei to the youngest Mini Dragon . Classes are 30 minutes with plenty exercises from techniques and Katas to games and team competitions to weapons ! Yup weapons :) how cool is to see them practice those Nunchucks? Sensei keeps those eager Mini Dragons at bay with engaging attitude, gentle discipline, positive reinforcement and a funny attitude. Kiddos you ask ? They are happy to share their thoughts , their emotions, their personality. You see them blooming from week to week. We love Sensei and his dedication, his emails , his funny posts , all the family oriented events and his positive attitude even towards those restless Mini Dragons who got so excited to tell what they saw on the way to the Dojo.

Sensei Shahin and Jim are great instructors. They're really friendly and patient with their students. My kids are have a lot of fun learning karate and gaining confidence from the experiences. Location is great, lots of parking and tons of different places to get food after class.

We are so happy with the warm, personable experience we have received at Red Dragon. Sensei Shahin has been so welcoming to our family and encouraging to my kids. As a parent, I really appreciate the studio’s approach in not only training them in the physical aspect of karate, but most importantly that there is an emphasis on building character in our kids, and instilling valuable life lessons. We look forward to seeing how our kids grow with this studio!

My son has been attending Red Dragon Karate for 4 month & he absolutely loves it! Before enrolling in Karate we tried another karate studio & I just wasn’t feeling it honestly. But then coming here for a 30 minute complimentary session sold me. During the session my son got one on one instruction.

From day one Sensei made us feel welcome and was so encouraging for our son. We struggled with confidence and self esteem issues from last school year and have seen such an amazing improvement in my sons mind set. We love that classes have given him a sense of pride and responsibility to keep up with his practices and keep his uniform and gear in order.

We are definitely a fan of this karate place. My sons love this place and we even use coming to karate as a reward at home. The Sensai is extremely passionate and loves the hush students. I’m mostly impressed with all the different weapons they teach every step of the way as they grow with their levels. Great family place for karate lovers.

Red Dragon Karate is awesome! We have tried several other karate places before, but nothing comes closes to Red Dragon Karate. My son is 6 years old and absolutely loves coming to class each week. Sensei Shahin is incredible with the kids and so warm and encouraging! I highly recommend Red Dragon Karate!

Outstanding experience and exceptional teaching from Sensei Shahin. We've been to other dojos in Yorba Linda, but this was the first time both my boys - one whom is on the spectrum - not only thrives at but looks forward to attending. In just 3 short months they've learned and independently performed more katas than their prior karate dojos and have since continued to thrive in and out of the dojo.
