I would say it's the best food I've ever had. Everything was so good and tasteful. We had churrasco and chicken madeira and definitely we want to come back. Also service was excellent and no wait.

Great place. Great service, great food. Limited parking, must try the beer and Brazilian sodas. Every time I have come their was a wait time, however never have been disappointed by the food or service. some of the tables are tiny.

We sat on the back balcony, which overlooks the parking lot but the view beyond that is fairly nice and the people in the parking lot were pretty entertaining. The menu is huge so took a while to pick. My pork chop was one of the best I've ever had, so good! The server probably could have gotten around more often but was very nice when he was available. Only one bathroom which seemed small for the overall size. Bottom line, that pork chop was so good, I would overlook the challenges to go back.

Love this place and I’ve been going to different locations for over 22 years now. Food always on point and staff is great. I recently visited the newer sunset plaza location and sat in the back patio bar area which over looks the parking and view of LA. Which is still great and enjoyable. They have heaters out there too. My only issue is while sitting out there people are smoking below you and that smoke comes right up to the patio. It’s technically illegal for them to be smoking so close to the building so all they need to do is regulate it or put a sign up. If they do this I’ll change my review to 5 stars. No one wants to smell cigarettes while they’re eating. I recommend the bossa salad with salmon, goat cheese special pizza with grilled chicken, traditional chicken with plantains, and def can’t forget the Brazilian cheese bread it’s a must.

Great was ambience! Food is good but beware that they follow your instructions. Unfortunately service is below standards. Server never came to check in on us once until everyone was done eating. Half of the table wasn't offered drink refills or were asked for new drink orders. But nonetheless we enjoyed ourselves and had a great time despite the deficiencies. On the plus parking in the back was great especially for Sunset.

Firstly I'd like to thank the waitstress and waiter ben, including the manager who provided great customer service and assistance. They were very professional. The food was unique and had a twist with california style but maintained the Brazilian affect to the dishes. The dishes were absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back to try the amazing selection of dishes they have to offer. I highly recommend others to try. The restaurant was decorated nicely and had a good vibe and was busy but not too busy on Friday. The dishes had been cooked to perfection and very fresh meat and ingredients. The timing of it being served was on point and I have nothing to fault about this place. Thank-you for the opportunity and keep it up.

Always amazing service and I love the atmosphere! I get the Brazilian Style Paella every time I come… and the Fried Banana desert. Great value for the great quality food!!

My Brazilian took me, and I loved the dish I ordered. We walked in with no reservation and got seated right away. It was delicious. The price was decent. Our server was friendly but disappeared for a minute. My dish: Stroganoff (Most Popular! / Spicy!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TRY! I chose Chicken instead of Beef with French Fries & Plantains | With Mushrooms, Onions, and Pink Sauce. Served With 2 Sides: Rice, Power Grains, Mashed Potatoes, French Fries, Or Plantains. My friend ordered: ESCONDIDINHO DE CARNE SECA, a Brazilian Casserole, Made With A Combination Of Dried, Salted Meat And Smashed Yucca.

I recently dined at Bossa Nova in West Hollywood, and my experience was a blend of highs and lows. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the service; our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right from the start. However, the food did not quite meet my expectations. The steak, a centerpiece for any meal, was disappointingly chewy, lacking the tenderness I anticipated. The vegetables accompanying the steak were overcooked and dry, diminishing the overall enjoyment of the meal. On a positive note, the rice and beans were well-prepared, delivering the comforting and flavorful taste one looks for in such staple dishes. Additionally, the Caipirinha was a delight. This classic Brazilian cocktail was mixed to perfection, offering a refreshing and authentic taste that partially made up for the shortcomings in the main course. In summary, while Bossa Nova shines in its service and certain aspects of its menu, there’s room for improvement in the consistency of its culinary offerings. The restaurant has the potential to offer a fantastic dining experience, provided they pay more attention to the quality and preparation of their key dishes.

Being a former employee almost 30 years ago, I can only tell that Aurelio and Chico really elevated this place. I was able to visit two of the Bossa Nova's restaurants at the Sunset and both had such a amazing food! Well done guys!

On Sunset boulevard on the West Hollywood portion side of things, this Brazilian casual restaurant would be a good place to fix your cravings for stewed slow cook black beans, grilled meats and yummy plantains (they actually also have quite a varied menu like sandwiches and pasta all with a South American or Brazilian twist). I had what’s called power bowl which I thought was a very good portion. Their other entrees from what I saw from other tables were quite huge for you hungry peeps. For pricing it’s fairly typical for this area so not bad. My Feijoada power bowl was $21 and I had a side order of plantain for $6 plus big bottle of sparkling water for another $7. Overall not bad and very yummy happy in my tummy! Hahaha.

This place was a little hidden un hidden gem On the sunset strip. It was a inch away from the agency that was featured on selling sunset tv show. There was a lot of opening seating when we went. There was only 1 server on. Our food came out fast and it was amazing.

Amazing place, with amazing food and service. If you are Brazilian, that’s the perfect place to fell like home (eating the original Brazilian food). If you are not from Brazil you definitely should try it, because their menu has a lot of delicious options. I always recommend to all of my friends, because this is my brazilian favorite restaurant in LA. Shout out to chimichuri & picanha na parrilha, one of my favorites of the whole menu ♥️

Let me tell you, if you love Brazilian food, this is a must, if you don’t, it will not disappoint. Caipirinha was on point! Medallion is plenty for 2 to share! Stroganoff was delicious. I had to take some brigadeiro to go and OMG just sooo good! They were short staffed but running around to tend to everyone with care and attention! I’m really glad we didn’t give up, just phenomenal 💝 Take it from a Brazilian, it’s authentic. Muito Obrigada! Amei 😍

Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine Restaurant & Bar, 8630 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States. This Brazilian restaurant has place for about 60 people. We we’re happy that we were able to get a table. The service from the main waiter was excellent. 90% of the tables was filled the lead waiter managed to have small conversations, come with the drinks and have our food ordered within no time. Sorry for what we ordered in a Brazilian restaurant. We had spaghetti seafood and lasagna. Yes we must have been walking to a Italian but we did not have energy to walk so far 😎. The food was excellent when it comes to presentation, taste and temperature. We recommend this restaurant, besides Brazilian also good for other dishes

I get out to California 3-4 times a year and my son who lives There is always taking me out to try different restaurants. This one was a winner. I'm not one for outdoor dining but I truly enjoyed it. The food was excellent and everyone in my party of 8 enjoyed theirs as well. The waiter was very attentive and the amount of food provided was well worth the price. I will return. :-)

Bossa Nova Restaurant is a nice place for lunch, dinner and happy hour too. The food is great, fresh and tasty. I do recommend coxinha, it is a typical Brazilian appetizer. Definitely their coxinha is the best I've ever eaten before.

I've been a regular for over a year and I could always trust Bossa to serve a good meal. Fast forward to this evening when I ordered a salad to go, only to find a literal dead bug inside my salad!! Thank God I noticed it but this is completely unacceptable for such a restaurant. Highly disappointed and will never eat here again.

A quick and pretty good restaurant to check out for some Brazilian style foods. There are multiple locations around LA so you'll find a place convenient for you. They have a mix of Brazilian dishes and some American ones as well if you have some picky folks. For apps, we went with the Coxinha, which is like a fried mashed potato ball with shredded chicken inside. A pretty comforting starter! For the main entrées, we went with the Calabresa Pizza and Fire Grilled Chicken Plate. The pizza was good, but ended up with a soggy dough. We did add pineapple to it so that's probably why, but not sure. It is possible to have good crust with pineapple. The Fire Grilled Chicken Plate was pretty good. We chose Sweet Potato Fries, Roasted Potatos, and Sweet Plantains. The chicken itself was okay and on the drier side. Not bad overall, but nothing outstanding. Good to share though! For dessert, we couldn't resist the Coconut Bread Pudding! Definitely best part of the meal. Very well-balanced and not too sweet. A good way to end our meal!
