If was able to give 0 stars I would. I cant say much about the other complete angler store but this specific one is horrendous. If you lack knowledge the staff will take advantage of you feeding you wrong information robbing you of your money. The staff are also extremely rude, constantly making smart ass comments towards my self and my friends. Having rude and condescending staff is one thing but even if they were nice and helpful i would still be giving this disgrace of a fishing store a bad review based on their prices alone. If there was something else that i could write to discourage fellow anglers to visit this store i would. I highly recommend spending the extra time and going to Otto's Tackle World which is a 15 minute bus ride from the city. They will be much more helpful and prices are the lowest. The best tackle shop in Sydney, by far, and the 'go to' place for fly fishing supplies and advice. If they don't have what you want, they get it in quickly for you. I always get a honest answer to any question - never any hard sell. The entire staff are helpful and happy to share knowledge based on experience. It's good to know there is a decent tackle store in the heart of Sydney staffed by great people. Top shop with top shelf staff.

I think coming here to this store for the first time was a positive experience. My boyfriend had questions in regards to certain products and we were certainly helped ! Plus getting some advice on some good fishing spots too.

I came last Friday seeking advice and recommendation to catch Kingfish. Bought the recommended plastic bait, goes on Saturday and hooked on 3 Kingies!! Highly recommended and please don't hesitate to ask for questions. The good guy on Fri and Monday is really genuine and more than happy to share his years of experience..

After going to the Villawood store for light jigging gear I found myself in need of some fly fishing gear. I was surprised to find out that Compleat Angler Sydney were actually fly fishing experts. Adam was friendly, engaging and clearly a professional. Set me up with some quality gear at a great price. Would recommend to anyone interested in fly fishing!

Good fly and lure shop in the CBD, knowledgeable staff with good sense of humour and advice. It's easy to get your tackle fix here, today was no exception. Keep up the good work, this shop is another good reason to come to work in the CBD!!

Would 100% recommend. After reading some of the reviews I was in two minds about going to the shop as I'm new to fishing and needed as much honest information as I could. However I couldn't be happier with the out come. Everything I needed to know and more plus got a free rod tube thrown in! Best fishing store I've stepped foot in! The guys here have the best range I've seen, and in just about the smallest tackle store I've seen. Convenient location for me to visit on my lunch breaks, and the most helpful and all round nicest staff I've dealt with!

The shop owner is very experienced and also kind, he even introduced the other shop which might have the item I was looking for.

Guy at the shop was very nice and helpful and sold us the rod that caught us this fish within 20 minutes. He guided us to our first fish absolute legend 😁😁
