What a beauty of a public pool! This stunning complex has a 25 metre indoor heated pool, 50 metre outdoor pool, kids splash play, gym, sauna, cafe and fantastic architecture. It’s Seidler meets Utzon Modernism with concrete used beautifully indoors and out. Wrapped around by steep grassy banks and a stony cliff face, it’s sheltered from the winds and hidden from the surrounding suburb. It all feels very clean and minimalist and has an almost monumental serenity to it, perhaps because it was so quiet, which surprised us on the warm sunny day we visited. The $8.50 casual entry fee may be part of the reason for that, but you do get a lot of bang for your buck here. We will definitely return and were very impressed.

Pros: Good temperature in the inside pool for kids, even little babies our 6 mth old loves it here. Swimming instructors are good, but can vary in approach and skill level. Outside pool great for lane swimming/adult exercise. Little splash pad for ~18mths to 6-7yrs. Nice walk along Bradwell Valley creek to/from the centre depending on where you live. Cons: Parking, not enough for the size of the centre, and the hills on both sides makes it hard to walk with pram, kids, swimming stuff, etc.; inside pool overfilled with swimming lessons (potentially due to Hurstville aquatic centre renovations); no kids pool outside, min depth 1.37m in outside pool. Can't have more than one five and under kid with you to go swimming, as pools (inside & outside) are too deep. Council didn't know this is a family area!?! On hot days there still lots of lane swimming open, and no one is actually using them why not just make the play area for the families? Summer school holidays there should be enough play space and lifeguards to have two play areas open.

A great place to swim with an option to exercise indoor and outdoor. Afternoons are pretty busy with so many students training. I enjoy my sessions around early afternoon when you get to train with no pressure. Early mornings are pretty busy as well..

Really nice swimming complex. Outdoor pool is fabulous in summer, with plenty of shade and grassy areas, the water is fantastically clean and change room/shower facilities are really good too. Still good in winter too, water is warm inside and out. Main complaint is that the indoor pool area gets steaming hot. It's like a sauna if you are there watching your kids and not swimming. They have the ability to open the windows and let fresh air through, but never actually do it. Cafe and swim school are great, but all operated by Bluefit. Seems like their contract has finished and not renewed, so it remains to be seen what the centre will do once they lose all their staff.

Management did a great job of revamping the former settings. Great staff, quality and spacious areas, and a decent selection of food. Ideal for taking friends and family. Looking forward to seeing it re-opened.

This used to be the best pool but has become barely useable for anyone who wants to swim laps. For some bizarre reason they decided to close the nice outdoor pool at 3 pm on the weekends and the indoor pool is far too hot for swimming. Any available lanes are taken up by people who selfishly swim slowly down the middle of the "fast" lane. I won't be coming back unless they sort themselves out. Really disappointing as there are less and less options for people who want to swim laps for exercise.

Highly recommended the adult swimming classes. It's never too late to learn how to swim well. I first joined the intermediate class when I was only comfortable with freestyle but six months later, able to do all four strokes though only short distance for backstroke and butterfly. Bluefit is excellent! I never thought able to perform all strokes in my 40s. Allowing students unlimited entries is invaluable as practice makes perfect.

Great location , lots of parking, outdoor pool is amazing apart fm not really a lane for learner - all too deep. Indoor pool- water is so warm + all windows door shut, feel air is with less oxygen … I have to go to outdoor when staying indoor for 10mins… outdoor environment is amazing though~ friendly staff
