Park&Ride - Ashfield

Parking lot β€’ Park and ride

😠 Quite annoying that they advertised only requiring a "valid opal card" without being specific that you need an "adult opal card" until you reached the exit. I tapped on and off with my concession opal but that wasn't accepted at the exit. The $30 I just paid feels like a scam People often mention park, parking, opal, card, free,

Avoid it. As soon as you enter, you need to pay $30 for exit. Not fair because instructions board at the entry is kinda ambiguous and lure you coming inside by bragging free car park for 0-18 hours. Even gates stay open so that your experience of losing $30 is smooth.

Avoid it. As soon as you enter, you need to pay $30 for exit. You are coming inside and a board is displaying free car park for 0-18 hours. That's just a trap because it is not free if you don't have opal transactions on your card that day.

Quit complaining about the $30 charge. It is clearly signposted like any carpark with charges is, with signage placed as you walk out too. Hint: if it's a commuter carpark it's probably for commuters only, using public transport. There is a free council carpark directly opposite. As for the actual carpark itself, be weary of the tight ramps, otherwise it's a decent place to park your car for the day if you really need to. Fills up very early weekdays, but you can reserve a spot for $10 which whilst pricey that is the real cost of owning a car in Sydney. Best leave commuter parking to those who can't walk around easily.

Convient and cheap for travelling on the train, but getting out of here is difficult. The down ramp is tight, I almost scraped my car, and judging by the marks on the wall, others haven't been as lucky.

Pretty convenient if you can find a spot which allows you to park for free, if not you can pay the $10 (more than 24 hours notice) or $15 (less than 24 hours notice) for a guaranteed parking spot. Great location, beware of the extremely tight ramps when exiting though and also follow signs carefully and don't go the wrong way !!!

Great parking as long as you use an opal card for ongoing travel.

Not enough parking spaces at this multi-storey car park. This is that irony that building more parking spaces would address demand, but instead the increase in supply of parking spaces increases demand. The economics of this is not that intuitive. Additional public transport options such as light rail should be constructed to reduce the need for parking.

Very convenience. Clean. Just tap your opal on the way out (after your trip using opal) and you're good to go. I wish more park and ride will pop up in other suburbs.

Very convenient park and ride car park for residents in the area, but it isn’t enormous, so it does fill up quickly, especially on weekdays.

Handy parking next to Ashfield station. Free if you use your Opal card for travel (check details before parking).
