STAY AWAy IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFf. Attended last night and were really looking forward to a great experience. Boy was I in for a surprise. My wife and I ordered wild barramundi from the menu.. The two orders arrived with a really small serving in the middle of a large, deeply dished plate for $37 each. There were no accompanying vegetables of anything else, just the serving of fish. If you wanted chips or mashed potato it was an extra $10 extra per item per person. A plate of veggies was an extra $12 per person per serve. I had two Crown Lager beers and my wife and I shared a bottle of white wine which we bought from home. When we received our bill I almost fell off the chair. Along with corkage of $4.50 per person, our bill totalled $113. That was for two small pieces of fish and two beers. I was starving when we left and had to order a pizza on the way home. That will be the last time we visit this place. Our dining guests felt the same way.

Very enjoyable experience at Lively catch Staff very courteous and attentive and food was faultless. Hubby and I enjoyed our 2 courses seafood platter immensely. Highly recommend 👌

Had a really enjoyable date night there, Robert was our waiter who was not only very attentive but very friendly and provided far beyond expected service, made us feel very welcome. We got the seafood platter, served over several courses and it was very enjoyable, great mix and well matched for each course leaving us very happy with our choice, serving sizes were great too, had just enough room left to share a desert which was also very delicious. We will certainly be back. Thank you for hosting us :)

I’ve been to the Lively Catch many times and always rated it highly, but tonight, my first time back since the shutdown was disappointing. Many of my favourite menu items were gone, the sourdough was stale and barely toasted, not at all enjoyable, my chicken whilst ok was not the quality I had come to expect, the sauce was mixed in with gluggy mash and the serving was quite small for the price. My brûlée was more like a runny custard. We all agreed that the quality was not what we remembered and for the price we would probably not return. Disappointing because it was such a good restaurant.

Nice local homely restaurant. Service was exceptional, menu had some variety but needed more seafood options. Prices were above average. Lots of parking, Street and council carparks.

Went here for my mums birthday as she's always wanted to go. We ordered 3 mains, 1 bottle of beer and a soft drink and one dessert. Also had a corkage (fine). My duck was $38 so I was expecting to get quite a bit. As you can see from the photo, it was a tiny serving of 3 chewy pieces of duck. It was nice....... but honestly it wasn't great. Very flavoursome when you first put it in your mouth then not much flavour, and it was quite chewy. I've had better at Asian restaurants for half the price. My dads steak was even more and it was also pretty small. He also said it was nice but not enough. My mum ordered the fish and had a dessert in which she was satisfied. All up the bill was just shy of $180. Even more disappointing is that we ended up walking straight over to the maccas across the road to fill ourselves up. I'm sorry but after spending almost $200 I should not have to walk out starving. The food is alright but this place is a rip off and I won't be back.

Love this restaurant! The service is always amazing, the food is delicious and with carpeted floors and tasteful decor, it's a quiet place to dine.

The freshest seafood platter I have had in a long time. I love that it comes in 2 separate platters-first course entree platter and then the main platter. Service is great and, just the freshest food. The sashimi is to die for. Gives a lot of fancier restaurants in Cronulla a run for their money.

This restaurant is one of the best if not the best restaurant I’ve eaten at. The service is wonderful, cocktails are fantastic and the food is absolutely heavenly. Highly recommended.

One of the best Restaurants in Sydney - a must go to venue. Everything was excellent & the food is amazing. Irene (owner) is a lovely person and runs a very good business.

Lovely resturant, the mains are fantastic but entrée and deserts I had are average Overall portions are good, price is reasonable so will be back.

We were waiting an hour for mains; look we have been here plenty of times and everything has been delicious except last night, as usual everything delicious except this time the most important part of the seafood platter; the lobster, was inedible, im sure it was off because we were all crook that night and the next day. sad, was mushy and drowning in mornay sauce, tasted like Chlorine, wasted 2 lobsters really & $300. In hindsight should have went to bayblu

So happy to find this lovely, affordable local restaurant nearby. A perfect location to take the family for special occasions. 👌

Absolutely beautiful meal, dietary requirements were not a problem. Staff were amazing. Only problem is I have to travel over 900km to visit again

Fine dining. Stylish decor. Impeccable service and the most delectable food, beautifully presented. Reasonably priced. Always packed with a loyal following. And it's no wonder. A gem in the Shire.
