My experience with Woolcock clinic has not been entirely rosy. I had sleep test done on 1st of November 2018. The experience of test itself was OK. However, its been 3 months since the sleep study was conducted and I am still waiting to get results of my sleep study reviewed. The next appointment is in mid March 2019 - that is 5 month after the test. I have contacted Woolcock several times but each time I got told that the doctor is busy and if I want to get the results reviewed by another doctor, it will cost additional $250. Just not fair. Meantime, I am having series of dizzy spells and my appointment with Neurologist was wasted since there were no results available. Another $300 wasted. Don't know how to get this resolved. Just frustrated and suffering.

Am sure this is a fantastic clinic that helps many people with their medical conditions. My experience was not great. Reception was great, he was welcoming and informative. Parking was convenient and available in secure underground parking. The consultant Dr explained the process and asked the relevant history and procedure for the overnight sleep. That was good. I was settled into my room and informed of the features etc, great. I waited 2.5 hrs before pressing the buzzer for a technician to come in to tell me what happens, I was ready to sleep and wanted to go to bed. Another technician came in and asked who my technician was, I said I don’t know as I hadn’t seen one. My technician came in later to advise she would be back soon. She was lovely and friendly. Unfortunately it took until 10.30pm before I was hooked up with uncomfortable spaghetti wiring, chest straps and nasal tubes. By this time I was over tired and wondered how I was going to get to sleep. Kind of defeated the purpose of being there, study my sleep. I was not comfortable at all and am sure my results will not necessarily reflect my true night time patterns. I woke up looking terrible, frustrated and regretted attending. I was late for work as I was not woken when I asked to be, my alarm went off and again had to press the buzzer for the technician so I could be disconnected. I was left with sticky gunk all over my head and skin and not told how to get rid of it. I had to use my nails to scrape it off my hair and skin, it would not come off easily at all. This experience has left me frustrated and stressed. I must reiterate this is my experience and I know many people will have their own experience and I sincerely hope they benefit from the clinic. I am sure they do and there are many people who have been helped. I wanted to share my experience in the hope perhaps things that happened to me can be avoided for others.

If you want to go around in circles, and have nothing but time on your hands to chase, follow up, send emails (so they are ignored), be given the wrong information, etc and to be generally spoken to in a rude manner by staff that forget YOU are the customer (all whilst paying a small fortunate) then by ALL means this is the company for you!!!!!! I have spent hours just trying to make an appointment, chasing a referral and trying to get help!

This place needs to be investigated for a lot more than one dodgy doctor. It's compulsory to agree to pay fees before the fee schedule is revealed. My doctor and technician gave polar opposite recommendations for the same issue. Communication and administration is generally appalling. Phone lines constantly busy. There's nothing professional or ethical about the place.

I have never in my 34 years of living on this blue spinning rock had the run around by anyone like I have this mob. Misinformed me nearly every step of the way, booked / rebooked / double booked and told me the wrong info 4 times and then had the audacity to try and charge me for absolutely nothing. Stay clear of these jokers and find a more reputable sleep clinic

They charge like a private practice. When you call their advertised phone number they hang up on you. You email them they don't respond. On the one occasion you get to speak to them and ask them to send you report to a different GP - they could not be bothered changing the details on file, they just say they will send it to you - but you never get it. From looking at the Charity Register, last reported revenue they got about one million public money last financial year. You would expect much better. Freeloaders on the public purse, in my opinion.

Don’t do sleep study here. They will report to RTA to take your license away. Just a scam for more treatment and money. Go to other clinic.

Dr Andrew Ng, despite his impressive research resume, was rude, dismissive of my inputs and left me with obvious advice and unheeded questions, even though I had given him no reason to be rude to me. I was told to go on a regimen of improved sleep hygeine, whereas my issues of waking up in the middle of the night, aerophagia, and poor recovery from exercise were not addressed and I was rushed out the door and told to come back in 6 months. Additionally he promised to refer me to a weight loss specialist at the clinic, a promise which was never forthcoming. I have received more productive advice from my GP. I really wish I could have given a good review. Perhaps there are some good doctors at this clinic, but unfortunately I cannot in good conscience give a good review for the representative that I saw here, and I hope the clinic will take on this advice and improve.

I was very happy with my experience there. Would recommend the clinic , would travel there again. For a sleep test, to get the best care. The pricing is much better , compared, to where we live. Having concession discount is a plus too. I still believe there cheaper than other clinics, without concession being used. Something the state and federal governments Should look into. Making other private, sleep clinics more affordable. The average Australian. If this happens it won't hold the public system up so much.

They have a whole huge reception hall with all these staff just to answer your call with "woolcock reception please hold" and put you on hold the whole day! It is easier to travel to them than get them to answer your call. Service there is good doctors and technicians are amazing I have to give that.

The staff and students at Woolcock were all wonderful. They were kind, gentle and explained everything. The beds were comfortable and I took my own pillow. My daughter and I were driving back to Melbourne the next morning so they left us until last to unhook so that we could sleep a little longer. Of course, it's unusual to have electrodes attached while you sleep, but it was nowhere near as bad as I had been led to believe. Thanks Woolcock peeps. James at reception is incredibly welcoming as well.

This clinic allows you to trial different sleep apnea machines and masks units for a price - approx $50 a week for a machine to trial. Pictured here is the fisher and pykal machine for trial. Reception was wonderful and very friendly. Wait time was minimal. Parking was available nearby given it is at the end of Glebe point roAd. Facilities are clean. Staff were okay too.

I had my sleep study pre-assessment with Dr Yizhong Zheng in July. He was very friendly and patient, took his time to get to know my conditions and answered all my questions about the sleep study. I was so lucky to meet a kind and professional doctor like him. My sleep technician Jane was also very helpful.

Ok that 1 star is not entirely accurate as I'm not a patient, I merely drove my wife here. My gripe is the parking - 3 visitors' spots, the others are all reserved for some boffin or other. I eventually parked in one of the reserved spots and when I asked the receptionist she said I'd have move it and park on the street! My instinct told me not to obey her, sat in my car and waited for over an hour. Nobody came to claim that spot. What's going on? A previous reviewer said there was ample secure parking, does he know something I don't?

I am writing a review as I do not believe a letter of complaint will actually received by the correct audience. My intellectually and physically disabled brother has been seeing the Woolcock clinic, currently on the NDIS Scheme. The administrative staff negligently failed to advise us of his requirement to get an updated doctors referral on two occasions (ie, they don't do their research on their patients). They first then attempted to invoice my disabled, impoverished brother the cost of a doctors attendance that they had requested and neglected to advise him of his referral being expunged. They then proceeded to inundate him via email about his billing and subsequently tried to schedule a sleep study, calling my phone as the nominated contact. When I challenged the administrative staff on the phone on his requirement to have a Doctors referral, she was unable to answer the question. I told her to go and do her homework and call me back when she had the answer. She then called me to ask me what my email was, when I asked her why she required my email she refused to answer, it was apparent the reason was related to chasing the outstanding bill rather than answering the question about the referral or organising an appointment. Honestly, you people are dealing with vulnerable people and you cant even meet your basic administrative responsibilities to inform patients of their pre-appointment requirements. Picking on disabled people for $150.00. We wont be dealing with your clinic any further, which is a pity as the doctor involved is actually quite good. Nonetheless, I will be reporting the clinic on the grounds of ethical practice.

Can anyone tell me what the response protocol is for this sleep clinic? I’ve sent a referral (which I consider confidential) over 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything. I’ve called twice and left a message, but no phone calls or emails to confirm they have our referral. It’s pretty urgent and important we get the sleep study for my husband as he isn’t well. I need to know whether they will respond, one way or another, so I can go elsewhere if I have to. I’m not sure why this happens with different type of clinics. You’re asked to send a confidential email with no response and sometimes wait a couple of months to hear back. So sad this happens to vulnerable people. Hopefully someone from there responds to this question with an answer.

Two overnight sleep studies over the last few months. Very professional and accommodating staff and excellent facilities. Plenty of secure parking for those staying overnight.
