Great place to hangout with family friends, walk your dogs too. The place is great with many food vendors and other random stuffs, many things to do since it's a very big place, you can even rent boats and hangout on the lake. I really enjoy walking around Chapultepec just relaxing surrounded by nature (in some parts) as it is also very clean.

Absolutely worth a visit for the greenery, the quiet, and cultural experiences. There is a zoo and a castle, but I like to just walk or bike for a break from the big city. The first section is the best known, but I like the quieter second section, now accessible by the new Calzada Flotante (floating bridge). The third section, open only on weekends, is an enormous cemetery. FYI the entire park is closed Mondays.

A really nice park to explore and wander around to enjoy being outside with nature. The park is filled with interesting statues and features that make exploring it a journey of discovery, it really is a nice place to enjoy and spend a day.

It is widely accepted that Taj Mahal is the best-known attraction in India. Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, commissioned this mausoleum to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. After 17 years of construction, the Taj Mahal is known as the most beautiful monument of love.

Wow…An amazing park with lots of local craft vendors, performers and well maintained nature sites. One of the things which most amazed me was how clean the bathrooms were given the size of the crowds on Sunday. If you are looking for a lazy day, this is the spot

Huge park with gorgeous wide open grounds. Very clean and well kept. Lots of families enjoying their day here. Tons of food vendors. The castle on top is spectacular along with the views. Did not make it to museum but we have told often it is one of the best there is!

This whole park is phenomenal. You can do a lot here from just taking a nice stroll seeing the greenery, lakes and statues. You can also run safely here! There are markets, places to have a picnic and the FREE ZOO! This was the highlight of the whole park, the zoo was so cool. We spent a lot of time in this park just walking around. “Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

The forest itself is beautiful but unfortunately there stalls everywhere and all the vendors don't stop harassing you which kinda ruins the walk. Instead of walking and enjoying the fresh air and nature you are busy avoiding them.

Fantastic park with A LOT to do. Only the zoo is horrible. No quality life for these animal in minimalistic cages! The museum (castle) is highly recommended. The botanical gardens are flanked by eating spaces with food stalls. A genuine atmosphere and huge portions are served on a daily basis. (Don’t be pushed, ask for all the menus!). Note: DONT GO HERE AT NIGHT. Daytime is playtime.

Huge park and the castle is very cool, cost 85 pesos and the line was about 30 minutes wait time.. I didn’t understand much because everything is in Spanish, but cool art inside and cool things to see, also the view was amazing, over the city and trees and the park. Outside there are lots of ppl who sell everything, food to sunglasses. Enjoy.

Nice and clean place to chill at. It’s huge, twice the size of Central Park! Lots of cool spots to check out inside the park with tons of vendors along the way.

Great place to escape the city and the heat . Tree canopy is great for those hot days. Plenty of shade and activities to keep you hydrated and fed. Street performers and trinkets all round . Enjoy the museums and zoo in an around the park .

Perfect for a walk or run. It’s a little busy around the zoo, but nice place after the entrance area. It’s clean and organized, available bathrooms (have coins to pay).

The park is beautiful. There are many serene and peaceful locations where you are amazed that you are in a huge metropolitan area. Tons of museum options to visit. I highly recommend spending a full day to multiple days in the park and the museums.

Beautiful park, it is massive at around 1.7k acres with well-maintained walking trails, fountains, monuments, and everything in between. There are vendors set up selling food and souvenirs in popular areas and paid restrooms scattered throughout ($5MXD seemed to be the average price). I really enjoyed sitting around the manicured lake and watching/ listening to the birds. I have found CDMX has some uneven sidewalks that make running a bit difficult, so this is a nice place to do that.

It was easy to purchase tickets (cash only) and walk up. It took about 15 min total. Upon arriving at the castle, there are lots of options where you start. There are 3 doors to choose from plus the upstairs. Start wherever and eventually you get to everything. It was crowded on a weekday at 9 am. There were some English for the castle rooms/furniture and carriage area. The artifact info was all in Spanish. Great views and beautiful place! On my way out, lots of vendors selling things along the path.

All the way from Dallas, TX! Absolutely loved the park. Great zoo and it was free. Lots of walking - which is my favorite! There’s a big pond where you can paddle boat. Beautiful, well kept park!

This is a huge park smack in the middle of the city! I loved all the greenery. I was so impressed at how clean it was. There were tons of vendors down walkways set up under their blue tents. Some were selling waters, others street food, and of course others souvenirs. Here, we found the cheapest prices on souvenir t shirts. It closed at dawn and the security guards manning the gates won’t let you in. It’s definitely a must!

Wonderful large park in Mexico City. There are so many things to do here. There are a few museums and monuments to visit here. If you want a more tranquil quiet time away from the crowds, there are many places you can enjoy that here.

Really cool historical museum in the main park of Mexico City. Great history of the city and of Mexico itself. The building is gorgeous and a really reasonable price for the walk through. I'd recommend you know a little Spanish to be able to read all the signs. It's at a pretty easy readability level if you've had a couple years of high school Spanish.

One of the best spots in Mexico City. A must if you're visiting. You can go the Castle, museums, or just walk around the park and the lake. It gets crowded during the weekends. It's also a good spot to go running, biking or to exercise in general. I wish there were less street vendors.

This is a pleasant place for a Sunday afternoon stroll. The high altitude leaves the air rather thin and the sun can be quite strong so it might not be ideal for strenuous exercise. I came just to see the presidential palaces at Los Pinos and it was a nice afternoon.

Great beautiful scenic and peaceful park. Lots of activities from walking jogging, play grounds, skating, and a zoo. I could spend hours there. It's awesome the the Castillo de Chapultepec is there to experience. I highly recommend to visit both. Lots of food, clothing, and toys vendors.

Amazing park in the middle of a busy city. This park has existed for many years. As kid I visited this place plenty of times. The park offers a Zoo, playground area, boat rental in the lake, petting zoo, kiosk, and lots of fun. No parking lot you have to find a place to leave your car in the surrounding streets. My kids loved this park too and asked to visit it several times while we were there. It looks like the employees are doing their best with a small budget to keep up with the maintenance of the park. I've noticed several employees working very hard to keep the place clean from sweeping common public areas to cleaning the petting zoo areas to cleaning the boats, etc. Several people committed to make sure the next generation can enjoy it as well.

Nice quiet family friendly park. Places for children and dogs to play. Quiet neighborhood and a pretty good size to stroll around. It has free city wifi in the park. There is an outdoor playground as well as an exercise area that seems to be well used. Make sure you stroll down the Amsterdam street if you're in the area. They have a nice walking path on that street.

This park is a perfect getaway from the traffic and hustle of the nearby financial district. Miles of paths plus many great attractions such as the former royal castle, a zoo, a couple of lakes and an amusement park. Free admittance to the park itself though the attractions will cost you extra. Well worth the trip.

I've biked through here and walked through here several times and each time is perfection. It's a very lush and big forest amongst CDMX so like Central Park in NYC, it feels like an oasis. I only wish that I had the time to go check out the Diego Rivera murals there. Go on. Go do it. 😉

Chapultepec, more commonly called the "Bosque de Chapultepec" (Chapultepec Forest) in Mexico City, is one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere, measuring in total just over 686 hectares (1,695 acres). Centered on a rock formation called Chapultepec Hill, one of the park's main functions is an ecological space in Greater Mexico City. It is considered the first and most important of Mexico City's "lungs", with trees that replenish oxygen to the Valley of Mexico. The park area has been inhabited and considered a landmark since the Pre-Columbian era, when it became a retreat for Aztec rulers. In the colonial period, Chapultepec Castle was built here, eventually becoming the official residence of Mexican heads of state. It would remain so until 1940, when it was moved to another part of the park called Los Pinos.

It's a fun place where to go with children or for a date, there are different kind of animals and also little museums and another enjoyable things to do and to see, if you dare you can sail on little bots around an artificial island and get memorable experiences in that place definitely a good place to visit it's not that big but if you like farms and stuff you are gonna have big fun. There is a parking lot but in weekends it's crowded and for what respect to the restroom brought your own toilet paper that is the only thing I didn't like of the place. Anyways get fun.

Definitely the best place to walk the dog and that's why there you can find lot of dogs around (specially on weekends). Also you can adopt some of them. If you are very keen into dogs maybe you should consider another place to have a walk on your weekend. During weekdays people attend to run a little bit at nights and some other activities in the center of the park.

Mexico City is adorned with beautiful parks and this one is my favorite. Beautiful eateries all around the park along with street food stalls. A large fence area for dogs to play and a children's playground. A great family place, couples to meet or to sit on a park bench and read a book while the birds chirp. Love it.

  • 5/5 Anthony J K. 3 years ago on Google
Of the amazing parks I've been too! Sad to say I didn't take my cell to track the last park I was in lewisville, Texas. Walking in from the street, there are bikes lined up for use. There's a electronic box to check in with ID and form of payment. The pathways set out almost seemed maze-liked. Trees galore, plants, bridges overlooking what I thought would be a stream of water, but no. It was a dog park!!! There was a bambooed partition with spacious room set for chairs and shelves of books for those wanting to enjoy a good read as well as nature! The final part of my visit ( it was getting dark. Walking alone can lead to mugging, robberies, sexual assault, etc ) was the rink set out for those that wanted to play soccer, play with dogs, Rollerblade or rollerskate, to the final dance practice by a couple playing argentine tango music. If you happen to come to Mexico city from what I see is on the outskirts of zona rosa, ill include a picture from my hotel to the park and the walk that I strongly recommend.

  • 5/5 Othoné Medina A. 3 years ago on Google

  • 3/5 Miriam P. 3 years ago on Google

What a great place to walk through. There are a ton of food and random gift vendors so be prepared to be asked to come see their food or items but people aren't too pushy. Tons to look at and tons to do. There is also a little lake here where you can rent out some boats. I really enjoyed my walk here.

An amazing park in the centre of Mexico City. It runs along the side of Reforma Avenue and is split into two halves. It’s green, spacious, clean and with plenty of pathways and places to explore including a several museums. It takes just over 1 hour to fully walk the park.

Huge city park with lot many features and attractions. Zoo, museum, castle, lake, recreation areas are few to name. You will definitely be lost once you’re in the park. There are lot of stalls and activity inside the park everyday. Looks like a lot of people come here for their daily dose of exercise. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the city.

I'd say this park is a must when visiting mexico city. Here you can find most of the museums in town, the zoo, or the famous Papantla people who fly (voladores de Papantla). It's very big and therefore full of things to see, as well as it's constantly updating and changing free art exhibits. Additionally, it's a nice place to have a picnic or just relax on the grass or on a bench.

  • 5/5 Lina G. 1 year ago on Google
It's a must if you visit Mexico city. The place is beautiful and it's located in a Parc. You can go visit the parc and then enter the castle. The entrance fee is 80 mxcn You need around 2 hours to visit the castle. Then, you can stay at the parc and do picnic and walk around a little bit.

Huge park, lots to see. There are tons of vendors. Take a boat rental out on the lake, or see the castle. Lots of birds. Nice places to sit and have a snack or read. It is close to museums and other things so it's a nice detour if you want to get "out" of the city.

  • 5/5 Daniel F. 10 months ago on Google
Beautiful castle. The history and all the rooms to see. We so enjoyed seeing this. It's a climb up to it, not bad though. If you're disabled they will let you take the elevator.

I'm in awe at the size and beauty of this park. Before going I read it didn't have anything to envy to other famous parks and it's completely true This part has a lot of important places, lots of green areas, countless activities, it's easy to arrive and you feel completely safe while in there Something I will say is that there are a lot of informal and street businesses all around. I don't want to mind people that want to earn their bread but some areas get loud, crowded, and unpleasant to walk into Overall, a beautiful place. Mexico must be proud to have that green zone and I command how well treated it is.

It’s a great park in the heart of Mexico City. You can easily spend the whole day there and not see it all. You can jog or walk there like in any park, but this one also has two museums, a zoo, a lake, a castle, former presidencial palace and much more. Either as a resident, or a tourist, this park is definitely worth a day.

  • 5/5 Pallavi A. 8 months ago on Google
This park was amazing! We happened on it as an activity while visiting Mexico City and were surprised how expansive and beautiful it was. The palace itself has a lot history to explore, and the grounds were a great place for a picnic. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, if you visit México City, go-ahead, go to this park, it's for free. Lots of trees, fountains, little shops to buy typical sweets and souvenirs and of course the zoo.. Kids will enjoy it.

  • 5/5 N'Dozie M. 8 months ago on Google
Huge park! I loved this park while visiting cdmx. So much to do inside this giant park. Very kid friendly. Many genders selling food, snacks and all kinds of souvenirs. We walked through parts of it getting to the Zoo, castle and museums. Lovely waterfront where people were pedaling and rowing boats. So many squirrels, ducks, and birds of many types. Very hard to see it all in one visit. Make sure to bring walking shoes and have an open day to explore.

  • 4/5 Allison W. 8 months ago on Google
It's a big park with different sections, full of paths where you can ride a bicycle or skate, a train that you can ride to see all the park and wooden areas where you can have picnics, it also has a lake where you can go on boats, and several snacks, fruit, knick knacks and toy vendors. Inside It is Chapultepec's Castle, a museum with a great view of Reforma Avenue and many other museums such as the Papalote children's museum, the museum of electricity, and the Museum of Natural History. One of the downsides is that there aren't a lot of bathrooms around, but the ones that exist are well equipped and clean. Depending on the section they allow dogs or not.

During my visit to Mexico City in the month of May 3rd to 6th August 3rd so many places and this place was very near to Performa. This is a very huge area with Marvelous structure & design. It is on little high from ground level but for Sr citizens and Differently able person a lift has been provided. It has a beautiful museum also and from terrace u can have a look of beautiful City. There are many vendors selling local goods / handicrafts and eatables. Rest room available. U may enjoy outside Ground place as Picnic area. Don't forget to take a photo from a licenced professional photographer near main gate. Please see more details on Google. Sharing few Photos and videos.
