Honestly it's not too bad. The reviews online scared me a bit but the room was cheap and super close to downtown so we took it anyways. First impression: The staff was really nice. They were really polite and had alot of knowledge about to area. Second impression: The room was... a room! Fridge, bed, lights, tiny soap, all the needed stuff. We had to cut the ac on when we got there, there was a drawer missing in the dresser, and the bathroom wasn't unbearable. No one bothered us and the check in/out was smooth and we didn't catch any weird diseases from the sheets so I would say it went well.๐Ÿ‘Œ Seriously, yall need to lower your expectations with cheap hotels.๐Ÿ˜‚ It's cheap. You did it to save money and you get what you pay for. Humble yourself.โœŒ

Much better than the current valuation! Maybe there are worse rooms, but the one I stayed in, was perfect, no issues at all. Clean, no bugs, comfy bed, all fine. The owner is a very friendly Indian man, very kind, I was hesitating but then I was happy I stayed here. Good value for the money, you get the same amenities as in any other motel of those big chains.

Didn't even stay one night. The lock on the door was terrible, the room did not have an alarm clock, not exactly in the best part of town, and there were drunk or completely coked out residence hanging out all around the property. If you value your safety, or your life, I would recommend Not staying here.

You come for the room quality you stay for the pool. 1000 thread count sheets very clean. Let me tell you about the ice machine. It makes the coldest ice in Alabama. The environment is second to none. Never recieved such great hospitality. The only problem is the little fella who works night shift he is a scrub.

Waited last minute to find someplace to stay and no wonder this place had vacancy. No fitted sheet on mattress, no towels in the room, overall pretty gross and doesnโ€™t seem like the best part of town. Definitely not going to be cheap next time and just pay for someplace where weโ€™ll actually get a decent night sleep.

This motel is located near two interstates, local and historic activities. The staff is super friendly. It's a great place just to be alone too.

The residents here were so nice. And welcoming. We spent a wonderful Saturday morning pool side. You come for the luxurious rooms but stay for the company. The night shift guy was a little rude. All in all 10/10 would stay again.

This was a solid $50 a night motel, except we spent around $90 a night. The mattress and box springs had mysterious stains. The sheets had cigarette burns. A few holes in the walls, peeling paint in the bathroom, and bluish flickering florescent light over the sink created an ambiance not dissimilar to a film like Fight Club. While the clerk that I checked in with was brusk, the older gentleman working the counter was quite friendly and pleasant to deal with. And as an added bonus, none of our personal effects were stolen. Because of it's close proximity to points of interest, I would consider staying here again, but I'll likely be bringing my own bedding.

I visited Birmingham over a week ago for the Magic City Classic, and I wanted to find a decent hotel as close to Legion Field as possible to crash for the weekend (this hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the stadium). The customer service was pretty good -- the guy who checked me in was nice and professional. The room was spacious, the bed was fairly comfortable, and all of the electrical appliances (refrigerator, microwave, lamps, etc.) worked just fine. The location was safe and quiet, so I never felt threatened. Overall, this hotel served its purpose for what I needed, and I didn't have much to complain about. When I visit Birmingham again in the future for the Classic, or any other events near the downtown area, this is a place I will consider. It may not be perfect, but you can do a lot worse.

Owner is a very nice man. Great to talk to. Rooms was very clean. Extra towels, soaps, etc. Quiet location, slept very soundly. Great location for me to do an historical walking tour. 16th St. Baptist Church & Civil Rights Building was a few minutes away. Publix supermarket on 20th was great for stocking up on groceries. Will rebook again, when I revisit Birmingham.

I had never stayed in downtown much less the Tourway. The rooms were okay, the water was hot, it had an apartment refrigerator & a microwave. Nice for a weekend and the location was good. The front desk staff was nice and accommodating. No complaints

We will NEVER stay here again. Paid for a two night stay for we had drove 2hrs for a conference and testing for the Police Academy. The older Indian man (said he owned it and worked there for 30 years) was absolutely insane. See I got a message saying we needed to come get our belongings b/c our checkout was at11, mind you it was for TWO days, Wednesday night - Thursday night. After my meeting was over I went back to the motel to a man screaming at me and my work colleague that we were trying to โ€œbe some kinda way and scam him for a extra nights stayโ€ thatโ€™s he knew what kind of people we are. But in fact he scammed us for $85. We got our belongings and went to a wonderful Hotel closer to a safe area and more restaurants to choose from. Iโ€™d highly advise against staying here unless you want to give your money away

This may be an older building, but it is clean, the exterior is well kept and well lit, it is located a stone's throw from the interstate (65), it is well priced, no sign of insect activity, excellent customer service...it is located less than 2 miles from the 4th Avenue parking deck at UAB Hospital. All in all, we will definitely stay here again if needed in the future.

We stayed here while my had surgery at UAB. I was there for 11 days. It was CLEAN, no bugs. The staff was amazing. They helped me with what my mom needed. While she was in hospital they asked about her everyday and made sure I was comfortable. Mitch and Alex are awesome. We stayed in room 118. UAB is real easy to get to from there it takes longer to park than to get there. I didn't have to worry about anything but seeing my mom everyday. Now it's not fancy but it's clean had a refrigerator and microwave, that's all I needed for daily living. Sleeping, eating and showering. The staff is amazing.

Sink cracked, brown cracks in bathroom ceiling, only like 3 plugs in a room none of them all that convenient. But a place to lay your head in the middle of bham it is what you pay for

Inexpensive motel located a few minutes off I-65 in downtown Birmingham and only a few minutes away from the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC). This is an older motel but is well-maintained and clean with updated amenities such as a push button toilet, microwave, refrigerator, and flat screen TV. There were no visible signs of pests. Our room smelled pleasant and the linen appeared to be fresh. The gentleman that checked us in and out was super friendly as well. We'll be staying there again when we visit for our next event.
