After a month dining around Montevideo while on assignment, I have to say “don Andres” is on the top of my recommendations. While you wait to be seated they give you a non-alcoholic drink and cheese croquetas. Specials we ordered and the beef were outstanding! Cannot miss the “crumble de manzana con helado” for desert. Great food portions at a very reasonable price.

Had awesome beef here. Very juicy and great tasting Uruguayan beef. Can't wait to get back. Remember to make a reservation because ot gets quite full quickly.

The table service was excellent, with several courteous attendants. However, the kitchen lagged behind: slow, not so good quality meats, and overcooked veggies.

Cozy place but the table I was assigned next to the kitchen door was very uncomfortable. Takes ages for the waiter to bring the menus and then charge you. Food was alright.

Very nice place, the server, Santiago, was super nice, he could even remember everyone's names! The food is good and the portions are generous, we were a big group and we had limoncello and tea on the house! There are a lot of options in the menu, that show a variety in Uruguayan cuisine, from barbecues to pastas, including seafood. Excellent place for big groups, family gatherings and birthdays. Will definitely come back every time I have family reunions in Uruguay.

You would not expect to walk into such an atmosphere as you pass it by. It is creative and cozy, and it's separated rooms make it easy to enjoy your meal without the big noises of a large restaurant. The food is amazing. Try their aged ribeye, or the grilled salmon. But do not fail to order their provolone cheese entree or their cheese croquettes! Finish with the chocolate marquise, which is to die for! They have their own line of wines and beer too. Excellent service. Everyone is very nice, and extremely attentive.

First time going there, my experience was very pleasant. The food was very good, good quality and quantity. Would recommend and will probably go back when I get the chance.

Right beside Prado Park, this was probably my favorite meal in Montevideo. Their menu is quite expansive, and of course they're known for their asado! They serve chocolate sausages for dessert, which is what I have been looking to try (well worth!) Each asado dish comes with a side. I wouldn't recommend their steamed vegetables, which lacked flavor and were cold, but the rest of the meal was delicious! The staff are so friendly, checking in constantly and speaking in rapid Spanish, so be prepared. The menu is in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. If one goes around 8, it's not too crowded. Otherwise, plan for a wait

What a wonderful find and Prado the restaurant is close to the presidents residence. Major museums in a beautiful section of Montevideo. The restaurant itself has atmosphere and an interesting vibe. It is comfortable and enjoyable. It is colorful and improves your mood, simply by being present, the food, however, was not great. We had one meal that was slightly undercooked, the salad was fantastic and a fish dish was simply OK. I still recommend going.

🫤 Not as good as the Google rating. Fried fish is OK, very basic food. Nothing special here. Service was good. The seating is very poor quality and not as nice as pictured, unfortunately as it is near the water but with no water views.
