If you go from The United States or USA. To this place I will not recommend you to go to this place. You will waste your time here. This place is usually full with local people and to my impression when they see strangers there they will not serve you. I was at this place on 2011 and I went in and seat in the Bar for like 45 minutes and no one served me the bartender just served and talked to the locals and completely ignored me. Thanks god I was alone and not with my family. I left an never returned or will return to this place. Even the people there I asked them some questions and ignored my questions. I believe this is like the snobbish people of Uruguay that frequently go to this place. So do yourself a favor and go somewhere else less snobbish and less busy. I will recommend you to go to Las Cumbres Hotel Restaurant is amazing.

Poor service for the price! Meet with excess is oil! They don’t return with any comment until my wife finish lunch! Finally I receive my choose but now without pleasure ! I do not recommend!

Excellent experience overall! I am a repeat customer, and the quality of the dishes is consistently excellent, and they keep a great variety. Desserts are always great, and there is a lovely bread basket with a mysterious dip (onion-y :) ), that seriously contravenes all my dietary good purposes! Highly recommended for a quick lunch in the city. I am a fan.

The service was good (although the bill took a while to arrive) but the food itself was not what I expected, as it looked premade and just reheated. The desserts, though, were the high point of the meal.

La Corte has to be one of the most overrated restaurants in Montevideo. I only give it 2 stars because the place is beautiful, but if you are looking for a great value, look elsewhere. At noon you have several menu options with several dishes that goes from around 15 to 40 US$. All of them with a drink and a dessert. But the food is as simple as it can get. Last time I went for the pricier menu and ask for a Kassler with apple pure. The kassler (smoked pork chops) were literally just heated in the pan. And I´m guessing the apple pure was from a can. They advertise healthy food, but please... not even salt? that's just lazy cooking. And the other previous times had been the same. I only returned because it was special occasions from work and someone else choose to go there. My advise is, pick another place.

Wonderful food. Delicious executive lunch of carrot soup with a hefty side of parmesan. Comfort food heaven with the vegetarian mushroom risotto. Flan with dulce de leche and a cafe con leche dessert pure heaven! Great ambiance in an old building right on the plaza. Very satisfied diner. Thank you!

I ordered a Kassler, which the menu indicates is a smoked cut of pork. I ordered the same dish a year ago and loved it. However, this time I was extremely disappointed to receive two fried pork chops! Doubt that I'll be going back!
