👍👍 My fish was perfectly cooked but a bit on the fishy side, the steak had a great taste but was a bit chewy. The atmosphere and service was terrific. People often mention service, good, great, delicious, Great,

Best Meal of the Trip! We are on a South American cruise and we found this place just easy walking distance from the port. The lamb was cooked perfectly and so tender, each morsel was delightful. The pork was also cooked perfectly with a delicious mashed sweet potato, and the special pasta of the day was a spinach, ricotta and mushroom gnocchi that blew me away! Reasonable prices plus great service made for an overall great experience. I wish I lived here. I would eat here every day!

Food quality, ambience, service & pricing, the four pillars of a good eatery. This restaurant fulfils a lot of the above for me. The quality of the food is really good and the menus are interesting especially for someone from Europe. The on ambience is really great. Sometimes you go to a restaurant and the music is too loud or too invasive but here they have the music just right. Lighting also plays an important role in creating ambience & if u sit downstairs for dinner the lighting is ok but if u seated upstairs then all you get is a candle & this is just not enough lighting for me. I like to actually see my food. The waitresses were friendly and spoke English which was really helpful. Pricing, if your coming from rich Europe is very reasonable. I had a ribeye steak which was just marvellous & as was expected! Jacinto is well worth a visit.

Disappointed to see the service has gone down significantly since 2017-2019. Our daughter's food was forgotten then late and the staff was borderline rude, at best unhelpful. I'd like to believe that's not what Lucia Soria wants to see herself...

The food was good, but the service ??? WHO hired them ? They do not concentrate on the costumer at all. Not even a smile you get. A good bye, a welcome….And working absolutely unprofessional. Can’t remember when the last time was when I had a bad service like that. BUT the food was really good. Anthony Bourdain was here, but sorry Tony, you were wrong about this place. Like you said once, service and food need to match together.

Nice high ceiling and a cute lunch spot. The polenta as an appetizer was great and the dessert as well. The rest of the dishes were good though kind of small for typical Uruguayan sizes

The menu was so varied, my friend and I couldn’t agree what to order for our meal. We finally decided on: Beef empanadas - very good! The flour was very crispy and thick. The insides was vey JUICY and flavorful. Wow, impressed at their design. Chicken Milanesa -Holy hell! What a beautiful piece of crispy meat. I never order chicken, especially breast. HOWEVER, this golden piece of goodness was absolutely delicious, paired with the charred sweat potato “Boniato.” Wow. I made sure to make it my last bite! - sweetbreads. Good! However the night before I had sweat breads at Lo De Tere in Punta del Este, and the ones in Jacinto were just okay in comparison- but still good on their own. We came back the next day and ordered a delightful Corvina fish of the day and a so-so sweat potato gnocchi- it was very soft/pillowy- too much of an okay dish. I’ll dream of the first time we came here. Oh! And they have a wonderful white wine. Yum! Service was better the second time. I think there’s just a disconnect about service that I need to get used to. Felt slow the first time.

Such a tasty lunch in Montevideo! Didn’t have to wait at 2 pm for lunch on a Monday. Service was attentive. Food was delicious — croquettes and gnocchi! Great wine local wine selection.

El nivel de cocina y servicio que se cultiva en este lugar esta a los altísimos estándares internacionales. In English: The food, wine and drinks were of a very good quality. The price was fair. But the best part of my experience in this place was that I didn't have to wait 20 minutes until I got served, the waiters WEREN'T ignorant as it's common in Uruguay and the service was FAST. I just can't afford to spend 2 hours on my dinner: I've been in good restaurants all across the world and during my stay in Montevideo and Colonia I already started to be disappointed by the Uruguayan style of service (slow and ignorant to the client), but this place completely changed my mind. 10/10

Great food at reasonable prices. Fresh ingredients and interesting preparations. Cauliflower with tahini, smoked chicken and soft boiled egg as well as beets with avocado puree were two outstanding selections. Good, if small, wine selection. Average but efficient service levels. Gets busy at lunch.

The gnocchi is a dream, the best I’ve ever enjoyed anywhere. Like a melty cloud of deliciousness.

Very good food, a little expensive, waiters did go out of the way to give an extra dish. If your Sub-Continent or like spicy, this may feel a little bland. Portions are modest. Chairs are little hard, no place for jackets.

Excellent, creative cooking. Homey, cute atmosphere. Good service. Some issues with their reservations and hospitality - canceling existing reservations because they decide to take someone else's... not exactly the way to build a loyal clientele.

Popular place but i was disappointed they served me a steak well done and you end up smelling like the kitchen since it's not well ventilated.

🫤 Not as good as the Google rating. Fried fish is OK, very basic food. Nothing special here. Service was good. The seating is very poor quality and not as nice as pictured, unfortunately as it is near the water but with no water views.
