My fiancé and I took a trip to South America and couldn't believe our luck when we walked in to Los Leños. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the overall ambience of the place was inviting and aesthetically beautiful. Whether you spring for a glass of wine or an original cocktail (or maybe both!) you can't go wrong as their bartenders are always on point. Highly recommend the octopus entree (pulpo), and the ribeye steak! Both expertly cooked with gorgeous presentation. Funny story, I actually left my phone at the bar after dinner (wine + a cocktail, whoops), and Emmanuel went above and beyond to find us on Facebook to return it to me. When we came back the next day to pick it up, we stayed at the bar (naturally) for a drink, and Nicolas provided us with stellar service and great recommendations for house-crafted drinks and other activities around the city. If you ever find yourself in Montevideo, it's a must-try. You will not regret it!

Great local food grilled to perfection. Both meat and veggies can be found here. The meat quality is high and the menu is packed with excellent options. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is really good. Try the Picaña the cordero it'll wow you!

The waiter sent me away stating: "WE DO NOT HAVE PARRILLA" ?????

Pro: The place looks very nice and cozy. Cons: My steak was blue with blood on some parts instead of medium and the manager’s answer was it was too thick. I understand some things, you cannot make everything perfect, but also, you have “cubierto” (cover charge) and you charge me double. They didn’t apply to my check the Law 18999 which takes out the IVA (VAT) 22% which is issued by the government to increase the tourism in the country. :) other restaurants like Fogon can do, they can’t. I don’t understand this, because they have nothing to lose, but I got the receipt and I will make a complaint to the fiscal authorities in order to make me understand.

A high quality restaurant, perfect for taking someone out. The octopus was top notch! Loved the sauce it came with. Pricy, but worth it for a nice night out.

Excellent food! Everything was really rich and flavorful, and they have a wide selection of delicious limonadas. The pesto fettuccini was amazing. Service was good and the decor was very cool. The weird doll head thing in the women’s restroom was… interesting.

Not great! Decor and quality of china is nice, service leaves a lot to be desired. I wonder why is so difficult for restaurants to train their stuff to be more knowledgeable. You seat, they don’t offer water or drinks, even after ordering the food we had to ask for wine list. Unbelievable! Dessert were very good, meat should come with at least a little parsley on the side to give it some love. Not impressed at all

Absolutely incredible. The very best gluten-free bread I have ever had with outstanding pasta dishes. The ravioli sauce was rich and flavorful. A great restaurant if you aren’t celiac, and if you are celiac you must go here, it’s incredible!

Just great all over. Great service. Great food. Love the ambient. It's an open kitchen restaurant. I ate the BBQ ribs, a bit simple in taste, but that's just the overall culture of food here in Uruguay, the pork slide right off the bone, simply delicious 😋

Superb food and drink at a remarkably good price. Like all places we’ve visited here, they’re patient and helpful with fumbling Americans new to the language. Our favorite among restaurants in Montevideo.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. Located not far away from Montevideo main square it is cosy, nicely styled and has a bit of a tropical feel to it thanks to big plants and wickeres chairs. The place also has a small bar area and there are several cocktails on the drink menu. The food is really very delicious, every meal we ordered was a success, especially the octopus starter and the steak from the mains. Attention: portions are huge! Highly recommended! We would love to be back again and try some other dishes from the menu.

Went for a business meeting after a colleague recommended this place. Was not disappointed at all! Appetizers were delicious. Especially the spinach fritters and lamb empinadas. The pizza was tasty and the crust baked perfectly in the brick oven. While the waiter didn't ask us how we wanted our steaks cooked, they were done to perfection. The side salad was fresh, delicious and plenty to share. We didn't have any room for dessert but I'm sure they are great as well. Definitely a great place for dinner.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been in my life. The ojo de bife premium was perfect, not too salty and juicy. The drinks are very good too and they have cappuccino as well.
