Clean, friendly staff. Good location.Good Breakfast .I'd book again.Very near Buquebus. It's close tradicional Market Puerto Mercado with meats and sea food.

Actually the only negative thing we found during our 2 night stay was that there were no direct windows in the hotel room - the only window was directed against the floor. Else, the room was impeccably clean - a bit small - but with a modern interiour design. The bathroom was just the way I would want it to be in all hotels - modern and with a shower that is not in a bathtub. The breakfast was nothing special, but tasty and quite diverse. All in all it was absolutly worth the money.

I did not stay here, but I had to meet a tour here. The concierge was incredibly kind. He came outside and had my friend and I come inside and wait in the lobby. He made sure we had the wifi and the location of the bathrooms fir while we waited. That short experience made this a place I would stay and recommend to my friends.

I got in from the airport at 2AM. When I asked about late checkout, the front desk said it would be$29 USD more for late checkout at noon or later. And when I arrived to breakfast 45 min before the end, they had run out of eggs and meat. They said this was a 4 star hotel - not by any international standard. The room was small and I had paid the 5$ upgrade to a room with a "view" -- this was looking out on the roofs of adjacent building but you could not see the water or any skyscape. My bag was lost and I asked if they could provide any amenities such as a toothbrush or a razor - no, they couldn't. Not very 4 star quality. The neighborhood is not very nice at night. The staff on the other hand, were very nice in the daytime.

Very friendly personnel and great location for exploring the old part of Montevideo. But be warned, some rooms only have windows to the hallway. Breakfast was good but with annoying disco music in the background. Everything else fine.

This is a classic example of paying for what you get. The shower in my room was broken, it required MacGyvering with a bar of soap before I could use it. The breakfast is very average and if you can find a clean table you should be proud of yourself. The area the hotel is in is not so pleasant and the only place in SA I felt unsafe walking around at night by myself.

We had an early appointment at the Migration office a two blocks down so this was very convenient. You have the old world charm of the ' Ciudad Vieja' all around you and of course the authentic Uruguyan restaurants of The Puerto Mercado complex a couple hundred yards from the Hotel. We were comfortable in the clean and neat, airconditioned suite. The fresh continent al reakfast was served at 07h30 sharp. All in al great value

Very friendly staff; located in the ciudad vieja, near to the harbor; Rooms are clean and modern; Breakfast has not the largest selection, but enough; can recommend it and would book it again.

I couldn't agree more with the previous review - our stay at Puerto Mercado was absolutely amazing! we had an unforgettable experience at Puerto Mercado, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. The fantastic location, fast internet, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, and attentive staff all contributed to making our stay truly memorable. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Oh wow, we absolutely loved this hotel! We chose it because of its prime location - just a short walk from the port where we arrived by ferry, and the icing on the cake was the super fast internet. And let me tell you, the internet was lightning fast with no interruptions at all! We were able to join webinars and video conferences with ease, thanks to the amazing upload speed of over 40 mbps and download speed of over 30 mbps. The WiFi worked great not just in our room, but also in the lobby. The room itself was super comfy and cozy, and the view was simply amazing! We could see the rooftops and some ferries in the distance, which made for some really cool shipspotting. And the cherry on top was the lovely fountain in the garden - it helped us drift off to sleep and just made us feel so calm and relaxed. The TV had a wide selection of channels, including some in English, which was really great. But the best part of our stay had to be the breakfasts - they were absolutely fantastic! Every day, there was a new surprise element, and the variety of food was just incredible. We want to give a special shoutout to the hardworking team who made it all happen! They served up so many fresh and delicious treats that kept us full until dinner. There was even a supermarket called "Frog" just 10 meters away from the hotel that accepted both dollars and pesos, where we found some tasty food. Last but not least, the hotel staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The guys at reception were a big help, and the ladies who ran the cafeteria and kept the hotel sparkling clean were just so hospitable. We would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great experience in this lovely city.

What an incredible place to stay that is in the perfect location. The staff are all so friendly, the breakfast is filling with such diverse options, the WiFi is incredibly fast (one of the main perks), the rooms are clean with plenty of space, and there is AC in each room. The only downsides are that the shower takes a few minutes to become hot and at times, it can be on the noisier side, as my room was close to the elevator and outdoor space, but it definitely quieted down when I needed to sleep.
