The photos looks nice but mind that you can be accomodated in a dodgy storage room without window, with some old ruined furniture, broken lock. The room they wanted to place us in was more like a prison cell than place for people. So the photos looks great but mind it might turned not real for you. And it is not clean at all in the common space either.

Very nice people both working and staying at the hostel. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Close to centre of old and charming part of Montevideo. I highly recommend this hostel for backpackers and for everybody wanting to explore Montevideo downtown 🤙 NB! No air-conditioning. Shared bathroom, one pr sex ofcourse.

Great place to enjoy Montevideo's hipster area with a couple of loud dance bars on the weekends nearby. The staff organizes weekly bbq, a great chance to meet the long-term residents. A fun stay. No shared rooms this should be called a "hostel".

Very nice place to stay! The hostel has a great location in Ciudad Vieja near to the all main attractions of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will give you tips where to visit and how to get there. The atmosphere in the hostel is great and almost home like so I was feeling very welcome! The hostel is very clean and there is all the main facilities (well equipped kitchen, tv, internet, laundry etc) you will need either for a short or longer stay. One of my favorites in the hostel is the roof terrace where you can go to drink your morning coffee or to just sit and enjoy the sun with a nice view to the port! I really recommend this place!

The hostel is situated in Ciudad Vieja, an icon of Montevideo, where we can find a lot of museums, little street markets and restaurants during the day. Also the neighborhood changes a lot on the weekends. The hostel is located in a part that is known by the locals as “El Bajo”, where there’s a mix of cultural centers, restaurants, bar’s bistros, and spaces for events. The hostel specifically is a beautiful and spacious building dated from the 19th century. All the common areas are very clean, and the room was really comfortable. The best part in my opinion is the rooftop, where we had a barbecue drinking wine and beers with a nice view for the bay and the port. A nice choice at a nice city.

I stayed at this hostel for a longer time and the only thing I can say is that it is a wonderful place full of great people with amazing location almost in the city center and just a few steps from the main tourist attractions and beautiful rambla along the Rio de la Plata. Not only residents living there and other guests were nice and interesting people, but also the staff members were really friendly and always helpful. So I would definitely recommend this place to any traveler visiting Montevideo!

Great value you are getting for a hostel: location, great roof view of the bay, building security, clean shared restrooms, lockable individual rooms with basic furniture, shared fridge & stove.

Great place for a visit. Big clean rooms. Friendly folks. You can come and go as you please. Very close to shopping, restaurants and grocery store.
