👍 This place has improved slightly. Not as a rude to the customers as they used to be, and I think the toilets must get cleaned at least once a week. Good work! People often mention sandwich,

Great place to go with friends or family, it is a nice and affordable restaurant, it will match perfectly to travelers that want to try actual local food (chivito) Good quality food. When you enter the restaurant you feel very comfortable. I will actually recommend this restaurant.

Dirty but cheap. I go all the time. My style. Open when you are thirsty. Your friends will show up to drink without the wives. Perfect.

Chivito Arocena is delicious! Definitely the best that I've had in Uruguay.

Best Chivito in town! A bit more expensive but totally worth it!

I did not like how thick the bread was in my sandwich caliente. Ended up leaving most of it on the plate (the bread)!

Disappointed with their flagship Chivito: so much eclectic stuff, it is impossible to eat without knife and fork, dismantling it. Only a deli-thin slice of filet, cheap ham-like product and drowning in mayo. Can’t compete with Lomito steak on baguette on the other shore. Fries were OK. Flan con Dulce de Leche another disappointment: not home made, but the jello-based kind you buy in the supermarket. In the holy land of marvelous Conaprole, Lapataia, Narbona and Los Nietitos, it was served with the cheapest, thickest dulce de leche-like pastry stuff possible.

Excellent food, only spoiled by stench of urine coming from mens toilet.

Delicious sandwich! I will say the prices on the menu look like they have gone up from many I saw online. But overall affordable for the portion size you are receiving. Came after I read this spot was the home of Anthony Bourdain’s favorite sandwich. Did not disappoint!

First: open 24 hours! Second: completely authentic; no airs and Grace's Third: it's the only actual BAR in Carrasco (that I am aware of) Bar Arocena is a good place to sit outside and watch the people in Carrasco go by; or, alternatively, to sit inside and watch fútbol. Chivitos are a good choice if you're hungry - some say the best in MVD, although I think there are better to be had. Drink selection is heavily weighted towards whisky, but they have a decent selection of other spirits and beer. Would not suggest wine! Basically, it's a "locals' bar". Every neighborhood has one; this is ours

Open 24/7, nearby everything in Carrasco. They have the one of the greatest Chivito (typical hot sandwich) in town. And I recommend the "milanesa en 2 panes" other of their specialties. Here you can find all sort of crowd... Tourists, The ones they never leave, the ones that are starving at 3am, the ones they need just a place to feel like Carrasco is still the same as 40 years ago. It's an awesome place that every tourist should visit. Even Anthony Bourdain went, and includes it in his show.

👍👍 A posh craft beer bar with a hip hop ambience, there are plenty of tables and every corner of the bar is painted nicely. A pint of beer is 210 pesos (5 usd aprox) which is a fair deal in Uruguay. It's a self service style and there are plenty of craft beers to choose from!
