Quiet and central location near Sofitel with different seating possibilities outside, inside, and upper floor. Amazing large bar with splendid selection of drinks. While my wife opted for the fish of the day, I chose a very tasty ceviche and 10 pieces of delicious Hoshake Huramakis (salmon, mango, crocante, quinoa). A perfect match was the Garzon Estate Pinot Noir Rose. Professional and friendly service completed a lovely dining experience.

My favourite restaurant in all of Montevideo. My favourite thing here is their sushi. Very fresh and tasty. Great vibes, I like sitting outside during the summer. Service is a bit slow but that is very common in Uruguay.

Great service, affordable prices, especially for the quality of the food and location. Great overall, would recommend the daily specials since they are always fresh and delicious. Very family friendly atmosphere without losing the chic aspect of a modern, young, restaurant. However, despite being family friendly, the bathrooms are extremely uncomfortable to change babies.

This is the BEST place to have lunch or dinner in Montevideo. The quality, the options, the wine, the service and the environment make it unique.

I’ve never felt more welcomed to a restaurant! Franco remembered that I’d been here before, what I’d eaten, what I’d had to drink. He sent over a little treat before my meal. The bone broth amuse bouche is out of this world, and I think the blue cheese pizza is my favorite dish in Montevideo. Love this place!

Wonderful restaurant in Carrasco. Centrally located across from the Hotel and Casino. Lovely outdoor seating for cocktails and delicious appetizers. For dinner we had rack of lamb and fresh fish of the day and both were supreme. We accompanied them with grilled vegetables that were just perfection!! I highly recommend this restaurant. ❤️

Great location, great service, and really delicious food. This is a fantastic restaurant but it does get busy so either make an appointment or you may be sitting outside at their extra tables that aren't as nice as the ones under the canopy. They have a large variety of food from good salads, sushi, fish & meats. I have been staying at the Sofitel and it's nice to able to walk out and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere steps outside the hotel. I have been trying a lot of the restaurants in the area and this is one of my favourite and have come back many time.

Delicious food (especially the sushi, the ceviche and the eggplant and the zucchini salads), great service by the very friendly staff (despite not speaking much English) and a beautiful outdoor setting. Would not necessarily recommend the spinach bites (found them quite doughy) but overall really fresh and yum.

The place is totally not worth it! It's super pricey for what they offer. We had the mollejas and buñuelos and they weren't good at all! The mollejas weren't properly cleaned and tasted like rubber, the buñuelos are just a big chunk of fried dough with a little spinach in them and mayo for dipping posing as aioli. The wine (altos de la ballena tannat) wasn't good and gave us both headaches. On top of all this, the hostess is really rude and the waitress didn't get our order until we reminded her 2 times. For this price you eat excellent steaks in a fancy restaurant in Buenos Aires!!

Incredible food, lovely waiters and good wine. What do u want more? We had Carbonara, Spinach fritters, Sushi, grilled eggplant, Milanesa, Wine, Burrata, Grilled Octopus, everything was very good. And I am picky person when it comes to food. Thank u guys. Well done 👍

What a beautiful restaurant (not too mention the location!)... that lovely long bar (very well stocked), the wood burning oven and grill pit (out in the open so you can see the chefs at work), the cozy spaces... a fantastic experience from start to finish. We shared appetizers (the eggplant was my favorite) and I had the most gorgeous sashimi platter. Also had a perfectly made Old Fashioned. Heard from other diners that desserts are awesome but was too full to partake. (Another time then.) Had a chance to meet one of the owners (a present owner always bodes well), who was very kind. Will return.

Great place to have a nice dinner. Kids had something to draw while waiting. Starting with a 🍲 was excellent and calmed the hunger they brought.

My husband and I enjoyed a warm meal during winter in their convered terrace. They welcomed us with some buillon which we loved and considering that we don't understand the meaning of one single local dish (we came from Belgium) the staff was pleased to help us with our order. 3 weeks after visiting Montevideo, we moved and partially because of all the nice experiences the uruguayans were able to share with us. Of course, is neathless to say that we became frequent customers and we love it. It's romantic, apealling and very pleasing! Not to mention that we always discover something new! Enjoy!

Nice and very well located restaurant in Carrasco. Good overall service. However, the waitress didn’t know the different beer options they offer. Very well cooked dishes, although a little salty. None of them come with a side and you need to order along with you main course. Delicious dessert and excellent coffee. Good balance between price and experience.

The place, the design and the comfort is really great. The ambiance makes it a special place. The right lighting is achieved highlighting specific elements of the room and its design and is complemented by the arrangement and comfort of the tables and chairs. The menu lacks good options for vegans and vegetarians since it does not offer any vegetable proteins. In today’s world as more and more people are changing their eating habits this should strongly be considered. I hope they will take it to heart and create a couple of main dishes for vegans which includes a balanced protein based option.

Dinner was incredible! Excellent selection of sushi, none of which disappointed. Traditional beef broth was served prior to the sushi, as well as a great selection of bread. The drink menu was extensive. Outside dining has a great view, facing a lighted fountain and the historic Hotel Carrasco. It is very close to the beach, so a wonderful sea breeze is always present.

-The location is greatish... I guess.. it's in front of a broken fountain and a permanently unpainted landmark hotel that used to look good about 100 years ago. -The aboriginals use this place as some sort of social spot to show themselves off, which is extremely amusing to observe, so it may be fun visiting this place for that little show. The place is usually packed during the weekends. -The general feel for this place is "bistro" tier cafe. -The meat is so-so, better go to Garcia if you want something meaty. -The deserts here is 5 or 6 versions of Dulce de Leche. -They have "sushi" for some mysterious reason. I guess every place in Montevideo that tries to act posh needs to have "sushi" on the menu. Needless to say that it's as far away from real Sushi as Uruguay from Japan. Obviously, I haven't tried it. But someone did. -Their wine list is the usual basic selection. Nothing special. -The waiters and waitresses are actually pretty nice, even though they all look like students on a summer time job. Summary: Unless you are into watching the local home grown socialites having the time of their life, go somewhere else. They have a couple of restaurants near by that can actually cook.
