El Puesto was one of restaurants in Carrasco we visited a total of 4 times. Located near the center, it is within a 5 minute walk from Sofitel and Rambla. All our visits were pleasant with an excellent meat selection, fresh salads, appetizing bread selection, good wines, friendly and timely service. Although we opted for a generous glass of Tequila as digestive, lovers of a whiskey have an impressive variety to chose from.

Went there 3 tomes. Very nice place, a beautiful terrace with friendly staff... But the standard of the food was really poor! (every single time)

Nice place, good atmosphere, and great food. The manager has offered us to take pictire on the grill, as well as explainjng to us the meat cuts of all of their steaks. Waitress are also friendly and helpful. We got a good time in this restaurant, and an unfirgettable lunch.

One of the best places to get authentic meat in Uruguay, highest quality at reasonable cost.

Excellent food and service but really expensive

Very expensive and disappointing food and service. Aside from pleasant decoration and a nice terrace this is a non starter. The restaurant had no more than 7 customers all evening,the kitchen/server got my order wrong (steak not bleu but al punto, french fries not baked potato.) About 100% incorrect. No one came to the table during the meal to ask if everything was ok. Meat was so so anyway. Not worth the drive or the price. Pass!

There were a few places that had amazing food but, this place topped them off. I had the baby beef and it was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. This is a place you don't want to miss out on when in Montivedo!!!

A recommendable, NON-chain, Uruguayan restaurant with excellent, tender, and flavorful beef - the likes of which seem difficult to find in Punta del Este. They bake their own bread, and have a few somewhat innovative (extremely mild, Uruguayan-style) dips they make themselves. My salad was yummy, especially for Uruguay, with a variety of TAsty greens (not so common here), in-house baked bread, and a pleasant, typical parilla atmosphere.

We ordered meat jugosa and we received an almost well done steak big mistake and expensive considering that.. all the rest was fine

Avoid the tables near the kitchen because it's very noisy
