So we wanted to have a girls night and last minute we wanted to try a new place! Boy, did we choose the right location. Although reservations are recommended, we were able to share a bar table with a wonderful family. I ordered the Lamb Chop & Smoked Pear Gastrique paired with a warm potato and fried onions salad. When I tell you this meal was excellent, I am 100% truthful. The lamb was tender and flavorful. I haven't had lamb this good in a very long time. I had to stop myself from licking the bones!! The potatoes and fried onions were also flavorful! Onions were crispy and the potatoes had the best texture! The service was top notch and the server answered all of my questions without hesitation!

La Jolla has been a place that has been that special location you go for anniversaries or special occasions. I love how knowledgeable their staff is and how the use locally sourced items. I failed to take pictures of my dinner because I got caught up in the conversation with my date but she reminded me to take the picture of the dessert. This place is always an enjoyable treat that I can not recommend highly enough.

The atmosphere is nice for a date night or just to hang with friends. I ordered the lamb chops along with the Artisan Lettuce and Fried Goat Cheese salad, which were DELICIOUS!!! They were seasoned very well. We also experienced great service even though we had a large group. If you have a group I do recommend making a reservation. We were seated immediately upon arrival (at our reservation time). Glasses were refilled and orders taken at a timely manner. The waitress kept checking on us and no one in our party had a complaint.

Loved the food! Enjoyed three of the small plates while we were there. The wedge salad for a starter, followed by the escargot with shitake mushrooms and pasta, and ended with the grilled lamb chops. Would definitely visit again.

1st time visiting today and me and my wife absolutely loved it. She had the Salmon and I had the Bison Steak, both dishes were delicious, 😋 our server Lucas was great and very on time and timely with his service. We'll definitely be returning again.

Not a bad spot! Only downside was needing a reservation at 5pm on a Wednesday but we were still able to sit at the bar/high top. The food was pretty okay, I had expected a little more flavor for the price but overall a decent meal. The drinks were amazing and the service was super fast so overall a pretty good experience!

This place has a very calm and soft atmosphere. The service, food, and drinks are great and help set a great vibe throughout the restaurant.

ordered lamb chops and they weren’t prepared the best out of the 9 i ordered three were cooked great and the rest were large and undercooked but i was told that it’s normal for them to be prepared that way.. my potatoes were undercooked as well they weren’t tender at all.. this is an upscale restaurant you would think that this wouldn’t be an issue and all he could say is i’ll let the executive chef know about this for the future!! horrible horrible experience!!

The perfect experience. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Service was exceptional and the ambience was relaxing with an upscale vibe. I can’t wait to go back!

La Jolla offers an amazing dining experience and wonderful atmosphere. We went for dinner on a Friday evening and were greeted immediately. The staff was very friendly and sat us at a table overlooking the restaurant. Michael was our server and he was incredible. He offered suggestions and took the time to answer all our questions. I had the ribeye filet with fried okra. It was cooked to perfect medium rare. The okra was tasty, but I'll try another side next time. My girlfriend had the double bone in pork chop with mac and cheese. The pork chop was out of this world! She ordered it well done, which I thought would come out dry, but was I wrong! The pork chop was so juicy that we almost needed a napkin to soak it up. I will definitely be a frequent dinner here as there were many more items on the menu that I want to try. I highly recommend you checking this place out!

Terrific seafood and fusion small plates at La Jolla. Service was fast and super friendly, and our waitress recommended the lamb, raw tuna, and scallops. She was right on - all were delicious, especially the lamb. All meats are cooked on a green egg. The cocktails were excellent too although on the sweeter side. This restaurant is pricey for Montgomery but worth it for a special occasion.

Easy to drive by and miss La Jolla. Atmosphere is casual upscale and intimate. Everything was amazing from the bread service to main course and dessert. Michael provided outstanding friendly service. Hands down the best salmon I’ve had in years! The bacon wrapped elk fillet was a hit.

She said a spot just opened and she would place a reserved sign to hold it for us. The drinks were very generous pours. They also have a very nice selection of bourbon and wine. When we were told our table was ready we were seated. Our server Michael did a great job taking care of us. The food was very good as well. I can’t believe I have lived here as long as I have and this was my first visit. I can promise you it won’t be the last!!

The food here is always really really good. The service here has always been nothing short of outstanding. The servers are always experts on the menu (including drinks) and attentive. I'm consistently impressed with this place.

Best meal in the Montgomery area! We had a large group but service was fast and everything was delicious. We started with lamb chops, frog legs, tuna nachos, lobster bisque and bruschetta. Pork chops, steaks, gumbo and chicken entrees were all perfect. And they have a great bar with creative as well as classic cocktails.

My husband and I love La Jolla for date nights since we don’t usually get many. The food is always top notch and so delicious and the martinis are to die for, especially the chocolate martini. 10/10 would recommend. The environment is very, very classy but also relaxing.

A easy 10/10 ! The food & service was amazing I had the Red snapper over grits and vanilla bean crème brûlée.

I recently dined at La Jolla and was blown away by the staff and food. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu had a great selection of dishes, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would highly recommend La Jolla.

Make sure to make a reservation if you don't eat by 4pm. This place fills up fast, especially on a Friday night. Excellent quality of food and the staff are the most professional wait staff I have ever encountered in my life. They are incredibly attentive and go out of their way to make your experience one you won't forget. The dishes are excellent well crafted and the menus change slightly with the seasons. I am going to lemon risotto with the fish for the season, but hopefully it will come back in the Spring or Summer. I highly recommend the tuna wonton nachos, and their lobster bisque.

Love the food, and the cocktails. I also really like our bartender Cody. I did have a little bit of an issue with I assume the other bartender Steve. I felt that he was rude to me, and also did not want to serve me. I do admit that we had been driving all day with 3 dogs, and maybe at that point looked maybe like we didn't belong there, but it was late, and we really love the food there. Maybe he should take a class in customer service.

I have been going here on special occasions for years. It has changed alot, but the food is still delicious and the service exceptional. Highly Reccomend. Would've given 5stars, but once I went a server treated us like we didn't really belong... and wasn't very attentive.

La Jolla is a Montgomery staple, I first ate here at the original location at the Shoppes At Eastchase. Love the new La Jolla’s more intimate space. This visit we shared the tuna nachos and chicken skins appetizers. I ordered the salmon piccata and my husband ordered the limited edition burger. The burger changes every week, this one had elk, duck, and bison mixed together. We both were quite satisfied.

La jolla is my favorite American style restaurant in montgomery. I come here all the time especially when they add something new to the menu. Most of the food is cooked on a giant green egg. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is great Michael, David, Lisa, Steve, Daminan, and Sam to name a few always make you feel welcome.
