We had the most incredible experience here. My son fell outside before we went in and one of the staff members saw it and brought him a sticker outside to cheer him up. We went in and he offered a sample of their delicious lemonade. We were assisted in ordering and were offered recommendations, and sat down and enjoyed the beautifully made rustic decor and browse the local items they have for sale in the front. Our food was hot and was out relatively quickly. The white BBQ sauce is TO DIE FOR!!!!! The words he used were "Good enough to make a jackrabbit slap a bear" and it was accurate. Everything was delicious from their upscale mac and cheese, to the grilled veggies, brocolli salad and kids PB&marshmallow. We were offered a sample of their brown sugar brownie, which was decadent and soft, but ended up ordering the half baked cookie, which could not have been any more delicious. 5 star food, 5 star concept of support local, 5 star staff. Cannot recommend enough.

Very nice staff and delicious food! The vegetable quesadillas were filled with so many vegetables that blended quite nicely. The dessert was worth the 20 minute wait since we didn't order it when we got there. Can't get enough of those orange rolls!

Good food and nice atmosphere. I had a bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and turkey sandwich on toasted bread. Nice little sauce they had on it and the bacon was really good. Also had a cup of cheddar broccoli soup which was fair. A bottle of spring water - the total was over $19. So that’s the main reason for a 3 score. I did have this for takeout, but that didn’t really have anything to do with the price.

This was my first visit. The service was excellent! The cashier was so friendly and courteous. I ordered a sandwich “El Cubano” and broccoli 🥦 salad was delicious, fresh, tasty and healthy. I highly recommend.

This cafe had a limited menu selection which mostly consisted of sandwiches and wraps. They did serve fresh fruit, roasted vegetable medley and a delicious brocolli salad, which I enjoyed. I was just expecting more of a "restaurant", not a deli/cafe atmosphere when I found this place online. I would probably stop here again when in Montgomery and looking to satisfy a sandwich craving. BTW - They had great customer service!👍🏾

This is a great little place to eat. Food is not fast food it is very good quality. I had the pork tacos for lunch and they were delicious. Serve yourself drinks. You get a number and take a seat and they bring your food out.

Delicious food, great service, and fresh. Candice made our experience even better. We had the chicken sandwich and the chicken special grilled with a side of Mac and cheese. Yummy 🤤 everything was clean too including restrooms.

While this fast casual restaurant is not what we expected when we found it as the no 11 place in all of Montgomery (per Yelp), it was a nice stop. It's a small southern chain that uses southern farms for all its food. Meats are smoked in a big green egg, and the flavors were great! Everything was very tasty - loved all the veggies in my sandwich and salad, and the macaroni talented like I made it at home. Buffalo wrap was a little smaller than expected but still good. Nice selection of local beers. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful and full of information about their food and business. We will visit the one in Sandy Springs, Georgia, now hat we are back home.

I really wanted to like this place. But it was just not very good at all. Both a lack of good solid flavor and not quality food for an organic restaurant in my opinion. •Hot Pasta (Mac and Cheese) was decent. •The steak was OK at best. •The rice was bland & blah texture. •Even the orange roll was nothing more than OK. Maybe I will give them another chance, but 4.5 stars was way higher than what I was served.

Hungry and from out of town, drove by the usual suspects. Heaven shrimp and grits the best I ever had. Sauce was so good I wanted to drink a big bowel of it. Desert another must have the half baked cookie.... wow..

Urban Cookhouse is a fabulous restaurant! We are traveling to FL from MI and were so tired of fast food. My husband found this gem and even though it was a little off of our path we decided to go anyway. We immediately felt welcome when we walked in with our 3 little kids. The man and woman at the counter were super friendly, the place was very clean and I loved the decor. Getting our food was simple. Choose from the awesome selection on the board, order at the counter and within 10 minutes we were eating fresh, delicious food. I ordered the Local Mix salad (amazing!) My husband got the Steak Pepper Patch salad and he said the steak was cooked perfectly. (He's pretty stingy with his compliments usually :) ) The kids had soup, rolls and fruit cups. I wish I would have taken photos of our food but we were all too busy devouring all of it. I did take a photo of what's left of a fruit cup.....it is really tasty and makes me feel good knowing the kids got some nutritious food in. Other parents know how hard it is to find better food choices for your kids on the road. This place is awesome and the man working (I wish I would've asked his name!) was sooo awesome with our kids, making them laugh and treated us all SO well. that truly means a lot to us. If we're ever back in this area, we will definitely go here again. There's also a drive up window and the guy said that on Mondays kids eat free! That's a pretty sweet deal :)
