Our first time here was wonderful. The server was very nice, kind and informative. We ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly, soft in the middle but seared with a crunch top & bottom. The grilled shrimp was okay with the side of butter. The salad was portioned small but everything was very filling with our appetizer. The crab claws were very meaty and fried perfectly. Fries & rolls were very good. Asparagus was plain but good. Definitely recommend this place although a little pricey, it’s very nice for a formal dinner.

We went to celebrate my daughter’s and mother’s birthday. It was highly recommend by my sister’s coworker. It was okay for Montgomery. The atmosphere was nice but most people were in jeans and t shirts even though it’s a fancy restaurant. The head hostess was really nice and professional. There were three of them but she was the only one who had the attitude and professionalism to go with the atmosphere. We spent about $50 per person which could have easily been way more expensive. My food was just okay for the price. I had the chopped steak and it was not seasoned at all. It came with plain white rice and gravy which didn’t have much taste. I had the asparagus which were cooked perfectly. Those that ordered the trout said it was good. I tasted a piece of my daughter’s steak and it was seasoned well and tender. I’m not sure about the shrimp but someone ordered it at the table. The service was great from our server although he did “correct” my sister when it was brought to his attention that the food was incorrect. Other than that he was way more upbeat than the other servers. Other than our server and the hostess, the other employees seemed very gloomy like they really didn’t want to be there. The chocolate cake was excellent. Overall it’s one of the nicest places I’ve been to in Montgomery. Cloverdale definitely has the best vibes. If my food was seasoned I would have given 4 stars. If the staff was more friendly I would have given 5 stars. But 3 stars for a great date night with just okay food and dry attitude.

It felt like a very upscale restaurant. Nice atmosphere, nice servers - low lighting to set the vibe. I enjoyed my experience here. The food was delivered in a timely manner and it was DELICIOUS. I will say the portion of broccoli didn't look like much, but it actually turned out to be enough with everything I had. Furthermore, my belly was very pleased with the flavors of the grilled chicken breast with the cream sauce and the okra was even well seasoned. This restaurant is great for making a best first impression.

Found this place randomly and wasn't disappointed. The staff was friendly and there was a nice vibe for a Wednesday night. The food was tasty, the waiter gave good recommendations, and the price wasn't too high. Nice menu selection. Overall a good value.

The best restaurant in Montgomery and one of the best restaurants anywhere. The rainbow trout is perfect. The she-crab soup is phenomenal. The gumbo rivals any gumbo in south Louisiana. The crab claws are the signature item and well worth ordering. The service is always fantastic and the ambience is hard to beat.

We stopped here for dinner after arriving to our Alabama destination. This place came highly recommended by our air bnb hosts (Jason and Teresa). We arrived on a Friday evening and knew we’d made a good choice when the hostess said the wait would be 45 minutes. Let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. Food 10/10, service 10/10. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop to eat here.

This is hands down the BEST restaurant in Montgomery and the State of Alabama. The steaks are always freshly cut and cooked to perfection. I usually order the ribeye steak cooked at medium. This restaurant gets it right every time. I've never had to send my steak back. The sides are always fresh and delicious as well. Every time I make a trip to Montgomery, I always make time to have a delicious dinner at Charles Anthony's Restaurant. Once you have dined here, you will never stop going. In addition, kudos to Carlie, the bartender. She serves the best cocktails in Montgomery as well. I will definitely be back soon.

Had dinner for my mom's bday. It was excellent food and excellent service. It was an absolute treat to eat there with my family. Really yummy food.

The Customer Service is Awesome!!! The food is especially AWESOME!!! The atmosphere is perfect for a first date or a nice time out with your significant other. I highly recommend ordering the Rainbow Trout and/or the Red Snapper. The sauce that is included with each of these dishes is so delectable that my mouth is literally watering as I write this review. The prices are affordable and the customer service, food, and environment are worth every dollar. I must mention that as of the date of this writing that the wait to get a table was about an hour long. However, the staff will collect your name and phone number and will call you as soon as your table becomes available. It was definitely worth the wait. I will be returning very soon and I advise you to eat here if you haven't already and if you have already eaten here, I advise you to return. Eat here now and Thank me later!!!

Found another great place to eat. Went for a ride Saturday and found ourselves in Montgomery, AL, and stopped by Charles Anthony's for dinner. Great food and great service. We ordered glasses of wine to go along with our entrees. Hubby ordered the Fried combination seafood platter, which included fried shrimp, oysters, trout, deviled crab, and hush puppies along with a sweet potato and okra. I ordered the Grilled red snapper with a house salad and white rice. We finished our meal with coffee and bread pudding. This meal made the trip worthwhile since we came all the way over from Forsyth, GA.

We drove all the way from Mobile to eat here for our anniversary! Food is outstanding! Wonderful service!

The staff was wonderful. We had a party of eight and attempted to get in around 8:00 pm, but they were already full and expected the wait time to be approximately an hour. We decided not to wait and left. While we were standing in front of the restaurant contemplating another place to go, the hostess come out to let us know a table had just become available. Since we were the last table seated, we were also the last diners in the restaurant prior to closing. This did not change the professionalism of the staff. For we never rush to leave so they could close, and every one of them thanked us for dining with them. As for the food, it was delicious. The fish, both the trout and the snapper, were cooked to perfection. The steaks too were spot-on with the desired level of cooking, warm pink center. If you are traveling through Montgomery, consider this local favorite. It will be on our list next time we come this way again.

Excellent as always, wait was a little long, but we had my 92 year old father in wheel chair. So we had to wait for a table not a booth.

It was a fantastic experience and a very delicious meal. The entire staff, from the receptionist, to the wait staff, and even the kitchen staff were friendly and made me feel appreciated. There was one small mix up in the appetizers I ordered, but my waiter made the corrections without hesitation and I'm glad he did. The Mac and cheese was absolutely worth ensuring I got a dish

I want to personally thank this restaurant and staff for giving us such a great dining experience. We are in town for a funeral and were feeling down but needed to eat. They were able to seat a large group of us at a timely manner with no reservation. Our server was incredible as well and patient and descriptive with the menu. We were able to come together as a family and enjoy the absolutely delicious food that was prepared for us. If you’re in Montgomery you must come to Charlie Anthony’s!

Fantastic food. This little restaurant gives off a Castle, Medieval vibe with the decor. Destiny our lovely waitress was so helpful. I had left my glasses in the vehicle so she got a couple of spare pair for me to utilize while perusing the menu. I chose the Grilled Red Snapper with Lump Crabmeat. Everything was exceedingly delicious and meticulously prepared.

Unexpected place in Montgomery. The service was excellent. The lounge side gives it an old timely 70s style steakhouse. The food wasn’t great but it was very good. Ribeye was good. Will visit again when I’m back in town.

First time here. What a pleasant surprise. Jesse, our server, did a great job. She was positive and had a great, continual smile. Came back to our table multiple times to make sure we were pleased with our meals or needed anything. Definitely deserved the extra gratuity. The food was outstanding and perfectly done. The grilled 13 oz. pork chop tasted like a steak. It was the tastiest and most tender pork chop I've ever eaten which I told the GM who visited our table. Seafood gumbo was also very delicious. Our experience was top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first visit to “The Pub” and I was not disappointed! We arrived at 4:40 and the place was getting packed after just ten minutes of opening the door. We ordered the chicken supreme with white cream gravy and almonds with cheese grits and a side salad with the house Greek dressing. The dressing was incredible!!!! My only complaint is that they only serve spring mix and do not have romaine or iceberg lettuce. I’m not a fan of spring mix. I had the 12oz ribeye with fried okra and onion rings. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was amazing! The onion rings were homemade and very good. The batter was a little thick for my taste but I still ate a few. The okra was fresh and delicious! I can’t believe I waited this long to check this place out and I will definitely be back!

Food was delicious and hot like I liked it. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food suggestions. The Moscato was a sweet and fruity blend that paired well with my spicy mushroom pasta. Unfortunately the tea is garbage, nothing but lightly sweetened sugar water. The steak was perfectly seasoned with a light char... only thing that was missing was mushrooms and onions. Did I mention the spinach dip was very tasty and served with a warm seasoned chip. Overall, my experience, food and atmosphere was phenomenal!

Second time visiting and again the food and service was great. Wish we were not seated next to the loud laughing lady but I guess the staff couldn't help that. In all both visits were great. Will visit again. Also I forgot my card after paying and did notice until a few days later and they still had it there. Thanks to the honest staff.

Busy place but I sat at the bar where they also serve food. Ordered a glass of wine, an appetizer and entree. Sipped the wine and suddenly a server brings my entree. "Where's my oyster appetizer?" I asked. She had no idea but asked if I wanted to have my entree. I feel like the purpose of an entree is to start the meal. She took my food away, the bar server apologized but I did see her write it down on my order so not sure who was at fault. Oysters arrived and I was half way finished when the entree appears again. At this point I took it but it was sort of dried out like it sat under a heat lamp waiting. Oh well, the food and wine was of good quality, just not the service. By the way, no fault of the restaurant but the traffic controls on the road in front are HORRIBLE. I was at the hotel right across the road but had to drive way north, do a U turn and come back just to get into the parking lot. Then after dinner head south a half mile and do another U turn. The engineer that designed this needs a different line of work. So don't rely on a GPS to get here.

Rude staff. I made a reservation for a business group I was hosting more than two weeks prior, and I confirmed it. They wrote down my number wrong and claimed they canceled my reservation because they had incorrectly recorded my number. My group had ro wait more than 30 minutes, and we were not seated together. It was quite embarrassing to my company, to me, and our guests. Do not trust your reservations to be held. Not a good place for important events.

Great restaurant. The steaks and pork chop are awesome. Both are grilled to profection. The taste and flavor is unforgettable. The ribeye is number 2 or 1c on my all time steak list. No sauce needed. Perfectly grilled and seasoned without the extras. Price is reasonable

For dinner, we both had the grilled snapper with crab and the flavor was delicious. I don't think I have had a better piece of fish before. Five stars! To complete our meal we enjoyed the warm bread pudding with rum sauce. It was just enough to share and was also excellent. We will be back.

Charles Anthony's Restaurant At The Pub is amazing. Have been visiting this pub/resto for months now. I really enjoyed the place. Going here to chill and relax. The place is great. A nice place to sit and have a beer. If I ever been hungry, there's a lot of food to choose from. The food is not even bad. I enjoyed it. The ambiance and the scenery is another thing that I like about this place. You can really relax and unwind. The staffs are great. A very good pub or resto if I say. Will be going back to Charles Anthony's Restaurant At The Pub this coming weekend. Will be going with my friends. Cheers.

We arrived at the Pub about 6:30 and it was very crowded. We went into the bar area and a couple were just leaving the bar so we took their seats. The bar tender was so friendly and suggested we just sit at the bar and have our meal. So we did. Enjoyed our martinis and a great steak dinner without any wait! Great place. Wish we had on where we live. Would definately return for another visit if and when we are in the area.

Ate here for the first time recently as a guest of a large business group. The service and attention we were given could not be topped. It was awesome. Great food (fried crab claws, steamed crab claws, gumbo, fried oysters, grilled snapper with crab on top, and key lime pie).

ABSOLUTELY the best steaks, pork chops, chicken, sea food and salads in Montgomery! They have wonderful desserts, as well, but you'd better be very hungry or take some of your entree home if you want to have room for a dessert!

A must visit! Decorated with antiques that create a warm ambiance, this restaurant is definitely one to visit if you are in the area. The website does not do it justice. Just go. Reasonably priced for a restaurant of its caliber. It's worth the drive. A great place to visit if you don't want a chain restaurant. The food is excellent and I will definately return with friends and family.

Went here for my birthday and my granddaughters on the 13th of March. Was seated right away and I have always loved this restaurant. there were 5 of us in our party and no one but me had ever been here before. Our server was Chloe and she was wonderful! Took our orders right away and told us of the specials of the day. We ended up having filet Mignon with a salad and mac and cheese, grilled chopped steak with mushrooms and gravy and rice with onion rings, a seafood pasta with a salad and steamed broccoli, Ahi tuna topped with crabmeat and a strawberry salad, and I had the trout almondine with a salad and a baked potato! Everything was delicious and hot and the salads were so crispy and fresh! Love the home made house dressing! Also ordered a spinach artichoke dip for starters and the pita chips were home made! Our glasses were never empty and Chloe did a marvelous job! Will definitely come back again!

Nice local restaurant. Good menu selection included steak and seafood. The snapper with crab was excellent! The service was friendly, attentive and efficient despite being very busy. Probably be ause they were well manned for the crowd. Kudos to the wait staff, bartender, and management. Truly worked together.

This place has great quality food for a reasonable price down home style cooking steak and seafood, i had the crab claws they are great!!! Also the sauteed shrimp was marvelouse for the entree i recomend the trout almondine if you like fish and for steak lovers the 12oz ribeye is grilled to your idea of perfection.

Came here for my wife's going away dinner we are from Birmingham so we had never been but this place was amazing the ambiance and elegance are amazing and the food was pure heaven. Our server Brandon was amazing and attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu items and he took great care of us the whole meal. I was very pleased with my experience here and if I'm ever in town again I'll be visiting here for sure...
