Love this place for breakfast and lunch. So many great options and prices are absolutely great. Second only to the wonderful service you get from the time you walk in the door until you leave.

Must stop when in Montgomery, Alabama. Great tasting sandwiches and salad sides. Grab a brownie or cookie or try the puddings. Super clean establishment and some of the very best southern hospitality. The best part is the AWESOME welcoming we got as we walked in.

I haven’t been in a few years, and the place has grown. They’ve expanded and have a seating area. It’s lovely. Of course, it was clean, and the people were friendly. I love it here, and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to come by and visit today. I’ll send more people.

Wonderful restaurant! My son loved our chicken tender lunch and the “prayer tree” was so cool to us both. Absolutely recommend.

Today was my 1st time visiting. I got there in good time a little after 7am. Ordered small breakfast bowl. Excite for one thing friend from work saying how do not take long and food good. Simple breakfast so hey I knew wouldn't take long, I can go on to work. 721am I'm still waiting on my food then Lady taking order was nice expressed sorry have big orders. I wished that was i had known. But a wsfa employee comes in the owner i guess rushing like crazy cause need to get orders put out. Also was extremely nice nasty talking to lady in front about a freaking phone order Not loud cause her voice is very soft then she roll eyes at the employee, showing straight frustration over a phone order WOW! Wait!! What about me. Little small breakfast bowl! I was asked if I wanted cup of coffee while I waited. Advised this is ridiculous no! I can't wait any longer. Just forget order and give to some one else or do whatever. WONT EVER GO THAT WAY AGAIN. To others this a good establishment to eat to me, not, cause I never got a chance to see due to long service wait and the way owner reaction with employee with a customer in plain view.

Had seen this place online when looking for a stop off around Montgomery. We were immediately greeted by the nicest people working there. We got there right as they were changing over from bfast to lunch, and they were so accommodating. Loved the atmosphere and the food was very good. I got a smoked sausage link, egg and cheese sandwich and my husband got a burger and fries. I haven’t had a sausage link cooked that good in a restaurant in years! My husband said his burger and fries were equally as good. Will definitely return when we go that way again!

Mama Debbie and her husband are EXCELLENT staff members. They are so kind and make sure that you are satisfied before walking out of the door. They also get to know their customers on a personal level. Which is rare, however those staff in the back are rude and unkind. They promised a cup of fruit because they forgot to place it in my bag and when I called about coming to get my free fruit they act like they didn't know what I was talking about. Mind you this is while Mama Debbie and her husband were gone. Tried calling asking for them and they weren't there & I am waiting to eat there once they return.

Hello, Just left Mama's Sack Lunches. Experience was not what it used to be although the light skin lady was very friendly when I called and told her an item of mine was missing. She and the man in the back even offered me a dessert. Very kind. It was the other dark skin girl that seemed to have some type of attitude when I came to get my missing items. She also had a bonnet on, go figure.

Just moved to Montgomery, tried this place out this morning and the service was wonderful! So nice, fantastic food, very clean, and great sweet tea. Absolutely going back!

Not sure when this place opened but what a great addition! Staff is friendly, food is yummy, and atmosphere is nice. Definitely a place to frequent for an easy, affordable lunch in downtown MGM

My cutie little hubby and I enjoyed it! ❤️ "Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people." - You feel their slogan as soon as you walk in the door because you are welcomed with a smile, greeting, and warm atmosphere. 🍽️ Cute little place in the heart of Montgomery - within walking distance of beautiful Troy University. Once you walk in you see seating area to your right with lots of options to sit - booths and tables. To the left is the gift shop and where you can order food. Gift shop includes trinkets, books, clothing, jewelry, etc. CLEAN - the workers were seen sanitizing in between customers. 🥪 Food was AMAZING! I got the Club sandwich with banana pudding (best I have ever eaten) and pasta salad - awesome and refreshing! Generous portions and fair pricing. Each meal comes with Mama's signature Hershey kiss. I really liked that they wrapped the package with a sticker that said "Thank you for supporting my small business." I thought that was a sweet touch. There's a place where everybody knows your name...and here it is! Mama's Sack Lunches has been a downtown staple for many years, and it never disappoints. A larger, adjacent dining area is a vast improvement to the original cramped tables and chairs that once occupied the front of the restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious. Employees seem genuinely happy to be working there. Breakfast is fabulous! Did I mention they're pretty fast too? Tell them "Laura" sent you....the "other Laura!"

This is a cute little cafe with friendly, patient staff during the lunch rush of downtown. I ordered a BLT with two sides and it was plenty of food for the $12 paid with drink. Everything was delicious. I would definitely come back to this place again when in the area. Don't miss out on this little gem downtown!

Friendly employees! Great food! I had the Club sandwich, potato salad, and cajun salad and it was all GOOD! This place would become a regular stop for me if I wasnt from out of town. Next time I'm in Montgomery I will definitely stop by!

First, and probably last time coming here. I get busy mornings, but 45 min and someone getting their breakfast and eating all of it before I received mine ordering right behind me is crazy. A heads up would’ve been nice, as it made me late to work… food was decent though, so if you have time… it’s a decent spot.

Delightful. It reminded of going with my family to one of my aunt's homes for lunch when I was growing up. Very friendly, and you feel welcome. Food was very good!, where you felt content and satisfied from eating, and not that "greasy" feel. LOL. Try the homemade chicken pasta salad with your sammy. :-)

Mama's is a great spot to get breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast sandwiches and bowls are delicious & filling. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. They have live music on Mondays. Always a good experience at Mama's.

Local Mom & Pops restaurant. As soon as you walk in there is a small gift shop for browsing greeting cards, books, jewelry, pens and metal crosses and inspirational wall signs. Noe, on to the massive menu. There was too much for me to decide, salads, sandwiches, you name it. Customer service was great and my salad was delicious. Nice, clean and not ro busy at 1:30pm. I will recommend this great restaurant to locals and new comers. *** BTW, breakfast specials are always great. Stop through and enjoy the ambiance of Mama's!

I first came here a few months ago because I work just up the street, but now I go back because I genuinely love this place. The staff is always very kind both over the phone and in person. The staff seems to have formed a family amongst them. Whenever I come in they always greet me with a smile and make me feel like I am part of their little family for the short bit of time I am in there. Mama's really makes me feel like a friend's mom invited me over for lunch. The food is always good and there is enough variety on the menu that I do not have to always get the same thing.

I’ve never been inside myself. I’ve had lunch picked up for me. I ordered a bologna sandwich. Honestly, it was just meh. I give it four stars because my coworkers rave about the burgers and pasta salad I have yet to try. I’ll update as soon as I try one.

On our way to Pensacola, I recalled from parlst Alabama trips the fried baloney sandwich. So I asked the Google for fried baloney in Montgomery and up pops Mama's Sack Lunches. Easy off I85 to Perry St. with easy street parking. We were not disappointed, the baloney sandwich on rye was great as was the loaded potato soup. Staff was great and since it was Monday we were serenaded by guitar and a great singer. Returning to I85 was easy and we talked about a great find in Mama's Sack Lunch as we drove down I65.

We were passing through our old home town of Montgomery, AL. Wanted to stop for lunch and look around. Remembered how much we loved the food and atmosphere at Mama’s. Had not been back for 5+ years. New (to us at least) owners but same great food and friendly atmosphere.

Literally the best service I've ever found in all of Montgomery, Prattville, and Millbrook. I love coming in to a place that remembers my name with a genuine smile. These are very honest and good people.
