Place ceas full and the food was great. Glad they are keeping the quality up even with short help. Cornbread one of the best in Montgomery.

I was visiting from out of town and was recommended Davis Cafe for Lunch (not open for Dinner). I got a Meat and Two. Turkey and Dressing (only available certain days?), butter beans and candied yams. The Turkey and cornbeard stuffing was amazing, butter beans were great and yams were cooked to perfection and like dessert they were so sweet and delicious. The cornbeard muffins they served with the meal were a perfect compliment. Services was fast and friendly and prices were fair. When I'm in town again, I'm definitely coming back!!

Absolutely loved the place, most aunthintic down-home style fried chicken, corn bread and fixins I have had in a long time. Extremely friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere as well. Dont pass up this one, these places are almost all gone.

The food is GOOD!😋You have to try the Potatoes salad, it's homemade. You can tell that everything is made with Love and attention. I try everything on my family plate. We even took desserts home.

Friendly, fast and delicious! The whole breakfast was delicious and the best grits we’ve had in a long time. We celebrated my becoming a citizen of the USA and what a better place to mark the occasion by having breakfast in a family owned business!

Must visit when in Montgomery. Offers a daily selection of southern favorites. Parking is plentiful on the street but did seem like a free for all to me as an out of towner.

Food was great. The lady that waited on me,ask why am I skipping in front of someone. The white lady that was in front of me was being waited o tvn by the cashier. So the lady that pass out the plates around 11:00 had the adacity to say I am skipping when she was no one standing there. I didn't like her attitude. I was the first one to place my order at 10:45, but the last to get mine. Come on now. Be Bless.

The best meat and three I think I've ever had, hands down! I had the Friday menu with Dressing, Mac n' Cheese, Blackeyed Peas, Green Baby Lima Beans and Cornbread Muffins with Sweet Tea to drink! Needless to say but you will be full when you leave here! I got a to-go plate so I can have a delicious lunch tomorrow!

I ate at this "mom and them" home meal cafe. With my bestie, let me tell you. I'm glad she drove back to our destination. I wasn't good for nothing. Beautiful people with great service.❤️

Very unassuming looking restaurant but the food was awesome. Service was good considering they only had one waitress but she did a good job making sure everyone was taken care of. Had they smothered pork chop and corn.

Local spot, could use some improvement on customer service but overall experience with food and prices was Ok

Do not let the exterior of the building mislead you; it's the food on the inside that counts, and it's fantastic. Think about it this way: with an exterior that bad, how could they stay in business for decades if the food weren't good. I love this place.

They have lost their touch. The food isn't made with love anymore. They have become just like every other food joint now. I was so disappointed in the food I only has like 3 bites. The look the taste the price 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Customer service could be better!!!!The wait time is a little long, but it wouldn't matter if the lady taking the cash would be Humble and not so Grouchy!

Some of the best home cooked meals in the south! Everything is made with love, very family friendly environment. I’ve tried everything they have to offer and haven’t been disappointed. I frequent here often, would give them 100 stars if I could!

The food was phenomenal!!! This hidden gem was worth the research. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, BUT I wasn't there for the atmosphere.

I've never had a bad experience here! The food is always piping hot and tasty. It wasn't our first stop. I had two in my party who had never visited before but they said they would return!

Really great Southern meat and two (or three if you're really hungry). If coming in to place a carry out order, go to the line on the right. After placing order, go to line on left to pay. In and out in ten minutes, the food hit the spot.

Black Owned!!! I cannot wait to go back! I went for lunch and everything on my plate was great. I have fried chicken, mashed yams, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and collard greens. Looking forward to trying out their breakfast.

The food was ALL I have heard. The turnips were well seasoned, the field peas taste like my grandmother use to make, and the beef tips and rice were so tender, you could chew them with your tongue and gums. I thoroughly enjoyed. Don't let the outside look fool you. It was well worth the 120 mile one way trip.
