This was my very first time eating Indian food! I was very afraid because I'm totally not crazy about curry. But LET ME TELL YOU... THEY were so kind and patient with me being a "first timer"!! AND! THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL! NICE ATMOSPHERE AND I WILL RETURN. I returned today to get a lunch to go! Yummmmmmo

First visit to Saffron and food and service was great! 👉🏽 I loved my butter chicken. It's a dish I'm familiar with and enjoy. 👉🏽 The lamb, though tasty, wasn't a hit for me or my date. 👉🏽 The dishes were a tad sweeter than I anticipated. 👉🏽 The cauliflower appetizer is a must as well as the chicken bite appetizer. I'll definitely go back for the buffet to try more dishes. Also, we sat by one of the owners and he kindly shared a few dishes with us. That made the visit all the more enjoyable.

First time trying this place but definitely will not be the last. Every single dish was delicious. Had the fried vegetable fritters as an appetizer, the 2 different chutneys that came with them each offered a very good but distinct taste. My wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala, I got the Butter Chicken, and our daughter order some dish that was a little spicy. All were excellent, just like the service.

I was with a group of 8 who decided on Indian food. The staff at Saffron were quick to get a table set within 10 minutes or less. We had 4 different checks which some places get annoyed but our server was very flexible. They answered all our questions, and I had several since this was my first time to eat at this establishment. Drinks were brought out promptly and refilled often. The food was brought out and was absolutely delicious. We each shared from each others plate and some ordered mild and others medium. The dishes were all very flavorful but not overly spicy. I really enjoyed this place and look forward to coming back to try more dishes from the menu.

My wife loves to make Indian inspired food but this is the first time going to an Indian restaurant. It was everything I thought it was going to be. I had a dish called "Rogan Josh" and it was amazing. I ordered the spice level at medium and I think that was probably just about right because it was a perfect combination of "wow, am I going to be able to eat this?" and "this is surprisingly good!!" So no complaints at all My wife had the tandoori chicken which had just those perfect tandoori burnt chicken ends that just makes it just so yummy. And we also got a side of garlic naan which was to die for.. I swear I could eat several baskets of the garlic naan all by itself It was all very delicious.

We were passing through & Saffron popped up as food near by. Never have I been so happy to stop. The food was delicious & service was spot on. I wanted to try everything. My husband who is not a fan even really enjoyed his dish. That's saying a LOT. Not sure if we'll pass this way again but if you're on I-85, get off at exit 11 and definitely give this place a try. Edited to add that on our way back home, we stopped in again. The restaurant was not open yet so we went into their snack/dessert store. Service once again was top notch & the food delicious. Thank you for making dining in Alabama memorable.

Food was good, this Indian restaurant appears to have the largest buffet. They had many options I haven't tried before. I liked the Fish Curry and the Tandoori Chicken. The staff allowed me to use my card info to pay as I had forgotten my wallet so I was very thankful. Floor was a little slick and might have been a little hazardous though.

Have been here for couple of times, tried various dishes, haven’t felt the authentic flavour. Food is okay but you may not experience that delight you’ve been waiting for. You will definitely never get that original taste and flavour.

I'm here from out of state & love Indian food. I ordered for delivery with GrubHub. My Chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely delicious, as well as the Naan bread. Being that really good Indian restaurants can be hard to find, I was extremely pleased. They even called me to let me know they didn't have the onion chutney I ordered. Thank you. It was amazing!!!

We stopped in as our first dinner spot visiting from Atlanta. The restaurant is open very late and you can dine up until 8:45 PM. They close about 9:30 PM. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing as we are a Vegan family and they had quite a few vegan options. We will stop by in the future to try the Buffett. We suggest this place if you are looking for vegan friendly options.

My wife and I were staying in the area and were looking for a good dinner. Thanks to the Google community we found this great restaurant to try. We were greater warmly by the waiter. He was very attentive and so nice. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken with Biryani. The chicken had a nice char and was fork tender. The portion was pretty large. The Biryani was so flavorful and spiced well. I ate until I couldn't. Food was so good! Please try this place if in the area.

Date Visited: June 28, 2022 Cleanliness: Saffron Indian Kitchen had a 75 health score. The floor was a little slippery. The bathroom could be cleaner, maybe remove some of the plants or art and make it simple, minimal, and new. Also the bathroom should have something where I can open the door without touching the door knob, like a foot door opener so we can prevent bacterial growth and keep our hands clean. There were a few flies flying around another table but not near me. They should also not leave cups already set on the table because who knows if customers could have touched them and they are open to dust and germs from the air. They should only put them out when they are ready to be used. Atmosphere: I liked the theme of Indian and felt comfortable. The art and decorations were nice. Food: The food was delicious and they had some vegetarian options. Service: The waiter was nice and took care of me! Cost: I paid 17.58$ for the lunch buffet. It used to be around $15 but I understand rising costs and the need to up the price. Overall: I enjoyed the restaurant and would come back.

NTCC Foodie Friday Small Group approves of Saffron Indian cuisine! The server was attentive and helped explain the menu- and the butter chicken and chicken tika were superb! Allowed us to enjoy another great Friday night with our awesome foodie friends.

Surprisingly great food, really enjoyed it. Channa and terrific rice. Back on my next visit to Montgomery, another pleasant meal; delighted to find Dosa on the menu on Friday.

A gem. Delicious chili chicken and chili paneer, take-out orders are completed timely. Highly recommend to any who enjoy the aforementioned items or Indian food in general. Restaurant is sparkling clean, parking is ample, climate controlled not too hot or cold inside.

I have been to Saffron Indian Kitchen thrice in the last one month. The food and service is really good. Today, we went for the weekend buffet. It was very tasty with a lot of variety. We loved it. The spice level is just perfect. And the staff is also welcoming. Thank you.

Clean Restaurant. Great Food ,Excellent service, Awesome Buffet for Reasonable price. Ate here for Valentines Day Lunch with Fam and was very satisfied with Quality food and service....I also think I got my family interested in trying more Indian food .. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

I've been here twice now and both times they have been excellent! So far we have tried the Rogan Josh (excellent), the chicken chettinadu (amazing). The coconut milk curry and a luxurious cream curry. Everything was so good. The staff is super friendly. Also the the serving utensils and the cups are really cute. A great place for a date night. Sorry I ate most of the food before thinking of taking pics.

The taste itself is not that good while compared to the price. It’s good before, but I don’t know y it is like this now. I’ve orde Samosa chat in the afternoon. I thought, it is good as the bowl is hot, but the content(chaat) inside the bowl is so cool, they just heated the item that is made before. Overall not at all satisfied.

Outstanding meal and service! I had a flavorful chicken and rice dish that was so tender it melted in my mouth! The wait staff was very helpful in interpreting the menu details. Next time I'm in Montgomery, I'll stop here.

Yummy food, fun music, kind staff! I got the mild coconut curry with shrimp, butter naan, and mango lassi. All of it was very yummy. Though I did get mild, it still had a bit of a kick to it (probably because I just have overly sensitive tastebuds 😭) but it wasn’t unbearable! The Indian pop music playing on the TVs was fun to watch and listen to. The staff was very nice and I really like how they recited my order to me after I said it, to confirm it was correct. As a server back in my home state, I know that is KEY to not making a mistake (mistakes from the kitchen could still potentially happen) I highly recommend stopping in or ordering online through GrubHub or whichever delivery apps that have Saffron!

With it being my first time ever eating Indian food, I came in completely unaware of what I'd find. Much to my pleasure, we had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing and priced rather well for how filling it can be. The atmosphere was rather nice and the service was beyond amazing. Our server kindly asked us if he could clear our plates for us, asked if we were ready for our bills after we finished and brought us as much water as we could drink. We felt so welcomed as to not being either rushed in or out after our meal and all employees were extremely nice and willing to answer questions we had. Truly an amazing experience.

This was my first time ever trying Indian food. All around 10/10. The customer service was amazing. The food was some of the best food I ever had. Seasoned perfectly, great portions, and the menu was very elaborate for someone who’s never had Indian. Me and my bf will definitely be back.

Went for the first time on Monday and this restaurant is nothing short of amazing! It was actually my first time having Indian food as well. I was blown away on how delicious the food was. I got the coconut curry chicken with garlic naan bread, and WOW! The flavors, the spices, the smell was delightful! Definitely worth every penny!

Saag paneer, "bullet" naan, grilled chicken with mint and cilantro, mango lassi... honestly, some of the BEST Indian food we've ever had. Well spiced and balanced and served piping hot.

Amazing restaurant! Best Indian food I ever tried! Very authentic, fresh and allergy friendly (bread prepared without butter)! No hurting stomach after eating the food what normally happens at a lot of Indian restaurants which cook with tons of oil! Would always come back! Great Shrimp Vindaloo, Roti and Chapati!

I had an incredible dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The flavors in their dishes were exquisite, offering a true taste of India. We ordered both Veg and Non Veg for the group and everything was too perfect. I will highly recommend their Matar Paneer, Laccha Paratha and Mango ice cream in dessert.
