Great atmosphere and service! Food was good. I loved the Ceasar Salad dressing! But the chicken parm was average. Large portions but a little pricy. I got the lunch chicken parm, a side ceaser salad, and water for $23.10. I would only go back for the salad. Update: I went back and got a ceasar salad with grilled chicken. It was AMAZING! $15.10

I ate here tonight for the first time and it was okay. My waiter was very nice. The bruschetta was very good, 10/10. I liked the setting in the restaurant. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken with a Greek salad. I’d give it a 6/10. I’ll go back to support a local small business, but I’ll order something different.

Good food, great service. Spanakopita was crisp and flaky on the outside, smooth and creamy on the inside. Very tasty, probably the best part of our dinner. Greek salad was not great. I was confused by the iceberg lettuce in it. Management did say they kept to the original recipe of the owner but they have other (more authentic greens) in the back and I would just have to ask for it which I'm good with. Both the pepperoni pizza and baked cannelloni were good. I've had better cannolis but it wasn't bad. All in all, we had a great experience. Everyone was really friendly and the service really made the difference between a 4 and a 5 star review. We'd definitely come back again.

Was not a fan. For the price, I expect a nicer experience and better, bigger servings of food. The service itself wasn’t bad, but it was lackluster. The food wasn’t bad, but again, not worth the price I paid. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I ate here on a Friday with a large group of people. I enjoyed my food and the group service was really nice. The starter salads were pretty tasty, I order the Tuscan Grilled Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. For dessert I had their strawberry cake it was a huge slice! The cake was delicious as well. I definitely would recommend this place. I went back yesterday to try their cheesecake and was pleased with that as well :)

Haven’t been here in years!! I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere! The baked spaghetti and pizza was just right ! I normally don’t make it a combination but I was craving and couldn’t decide which one I wanted. Im glad I chose both just couldn’t finish it all at the table LOL. I’ll definitely be back for more. The prices are very good for the portions you get. Thank you for everything!

We had dinner here for our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter, Preston, was fantastic! He was very attentive without being in our faces all night. The food was great. The menu is certainly not a traditional Italian fare. I got the moussaka and my husband got the chicken parmigiana. Both were delicious and the portions were more than sufficient. We’ll be coming here again. We also liked that it was quiet so we could enjoy our conversation.

We went in a Thursday night and it was packed. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Everything we had was delicious. The prices were fair for the huge portion sizes. Will definitely go back!

We went there for dinner and everything was going well until 2 more parties arrived (one of 10 and the other of 8) and the staff was overwhelmed (they had 1host, 3 servers and 2 cooks). Our food was served and it was pretty good... Mine (baked spaghetti), was good, not great. My wife's was a pasta dish with a white sauce and fetta cheese, which she said was very good. The service became almost non-existent due to the sudden influx and our stay/wait was extended by probably 30+ minutes. I can't really blame the staff, they were SLAMMED. I will say that they all stayed in their own section and didn't help each other (they ALL work for the restaurant and if one is overwhelmed, the others should step in and help... that didn't happen). So, to sum it up, the food was OKAY, good but not great (maybe I was just expecting too much). The service was good... and then it wasn't (our server, Al, did THE BEST HE COULD with the number of customers he had). The kitchen was ALSO short a person and struggling with the sudden volume of orders. We certainly DIDN'T foresee all this happening or we would have chosen another time to visit. We will likely try them again... maybe on a week day, at lunch just to be fair to them. I don't know if this was a "normal" night or not, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Had lunch there today in a large group of 20 older ladies. They were not prepared for our reservation with the space and yelled at us when we tried to combine tables to accommodate the group. The food was not up to par for our group, but I will never return due to being yelled at by the man that seated us. My lunch of chicken parm and a salad (with water) was $26 which included an $4 gratuity. Our server was nice and that is the only positive that I have to say about Mr. Gus’.

They are now open for lunch and dinner. I took a group of four for lunch and the food was outstanding. We started with the pita and humus nothing was left. I had the pasticcio and it was incredible. Everyone ordered something different and we finished everything. The owner Mike is awesome, congrats on the reopen and I will see you weekly.

They have amazing service with great portion size and pricing. All the food was great. My family and I were traveling through and I would stop there again if could given a chance.

Came for lunch today. First time, and I've been waiting to go for some time. Today it finally worked out. Atmosphere is bad. Radio was broken so I Listened mostly to the man child of the nice lady at the front door cuss and go on about nothing really to her. My waitress came, she was one of the nicest I've met in the area. The food was good, small, the manicotti was the selection, with ceaser salad. I only partly came for the food, I really wanted to check the atmosphere. When I walk in to an Italian joint, I have the old idea I should hear Sinatra, feel at home, not terrible music all chopped up and broken. Playing part of a song, I can t even hear. Asked for help with that, and even offered to fix their music problem from the direction of the front desk, man child responds "its the flash drive, lightning strike, and it's not every song." Even though it made my head hurt trying to listen to and focus on because yes everything i could hear was playing corrupted. Well that's my cue to leave, so I did, and I won't be returning.

We absolutely loved this place. The staff was so great, super friendly and attentive. We tried a variety of food and we loved it. We will be back for sure. I can’t wait to try their pasta, it was really hard to choose because everything sounded delish. All the food that was coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The prices are very reasonable for the food quality and quantity. I was so excited to find a restaurant that had spanakopita, I have not had it in a long time, sooooo good. The atmosphere is perfect. The only thing I would skip would be the cannolis, they were super tiny and you only get 2, didn’t grab of pic of them but you will be disappointed especially when you can pay the same for much better dessert.

This place was amazing! My husband and I got calmness and a friend with us got the lasagna. We split a tiramisu after dinner that the absolute best I think I've ever had. The service was prompt (our server Justice never let our drinks get more than half empty). This restaurant was the perfect end too an amazing day. I know where we'll be eating the next time we go to South Alabama!

This restaurant has always been my favorite restaurant in Montgomery. We miss Mr.Gus walking around and checking on everyone but the good vibes are still there. The food has stayed pretty consistent through the many years they’ve been open and my personal favorites are the Mediterranean Platter and the Pastichio!

Well I use to love this place. Last night was a big disappointment. The new owner/manager encouraged me to get the Ribeye steak. Hand cut, fresh, never frozen he said. So I did. What I got was a piece of meat less than 1/4” thick and they charged me $25.00!!!! The smallest steak I have ever seen. I won’t be back. Dimitri is probably turning over in his grave….

This was my first time coming here. The appetizers were really good, however my main entree was not. I had the baked lasagna and it honestly tasted like stew. There was little to no seasoning and I actually became sick afterwards. I thought the service was good but overall this place doesn’t compete well with other Italian restaurants in the area.

The front has been cleaned up since reopened looks better. The staff is just tolerating us. Everything is extra. Switching from meat sauce to Alfredo cost $4 extra. Bread was a loaf that was sliced in half and accidentally got a tiny bit of butter on it. I got meat ravioli with Alfredo baked with cheese on top. It was good. Alfredo cost $4 extra and Salad did not come with that. Lunch price $16.

Wonderful eggplant Parmesan and finally a restaurant that doesn't charge you a ridiculous amount to add a salad. Greek salad was a $2 add on. Friendly, attentive staff. The only reason I did not give them a five star rating is because they don't have their liquor license yet. A Glass of red wine would have been a great pairing.

The first place I have been in Montgomery that serves authentic Italian food. Excellent food and friendly staff. If there is anything you need the staff will get it for you.

Love this city charm, some of the best dishes available that more should know about. Quite fantastic service from Aubrey, pictured is the Moussaka, eggplant dish. Also we had Avgolemeno, pastichio, spanokopita and other great Greek and Italian dishes. Quick service for lunch, and a pleasant atmosphere for dinner.

Talk about a hidden jewel! Mr. Gus' is absolutely fantastic and everything tastes great- although the Chicken Souvlaki is my favorite! The server was also very nice, and although we went at a busy time the kitchen had no problem turning out our food. Mr. Gus' has definitely earned a few more regulars!

Greek pizza. It's a thing. It's a good thing. Greek salad? Not so much. Eggplant parm? Meh. Friendly place to grab a bite to eat. Pro tip: use the salt shaker, and ask for some garlic if you expect it to come on/in your dish.

An experience that more people need. The staff are attentive, and so punctual. The food is home made and far surpasses any competition in town. They became a family tradition of our's last night. Go see them today.
