We stopped at the Catfish House while traveling. We made the right choice! The place is very eclectic with many items hanging from the ceiling. The service was good but it was hard to hear the waitress speak. The food is delicious! Those hush puppies are to die for.

Great place. The food was good and prices fair. Catfish and seafood is awesome. Clean and pleasant. Staff was friendly and fun. Restrooms clean and ample parking. Must do if in the area!

If you are ever near Montgomery Alabama I highly recommend stopping in at the Catfish House. You get the coleslaw, hush puppies, and white beans as "the setup". I went with the Seafood Special and it was fantastic. Best scallops and oysters I have eaten. Stuffed Crab was fabulous. Shrimp and Catfish were perfect! Best meal on this trip hands down! The catfish does not have flavor. Stuffed crab cakes all breading. Hush puppies were good. Overall it’s more of a fast food joint. The best part about Catfish house was Diane the most wonderful hostess!!

Love this place! Service is always good and on time and food is excellent! They give you beans , slaw, and hushpuppies before you even order. You will leave here very full!

Yummy!! This was my second time there. They bring out small table sides like hush puppies, etc., until your food that you ordered is ready. The atmosphere is country like, it has old memorabilia on the walls and around inside. Staff are very friendly. Definitely going back!!!

Catfish House did a great job in taking care of our Church group of 48 senior adults. The food was very good as usual including the catfish filet plate and shrimp plate senior specials at reasonable price. You cannot beat the warm up featuring white beans (nicely seasoned), hush puppies and Cole slaw. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I both had the catfish fillet dinner and it was excellent, the fish was very tender and tasty. The onion rings were among the best I have ever had. The setup of hush puppies, navy beans, & coleslaw was outstanding. The waitress was busy with a large party but made time for us too. Get there early to avoid crowds. We will be back!

I know it’s an hour and a half drive from my house. But it’s catfish. …and we don’t have a catfish house of any kind in Birmingham. It was absolutely worth the drive. The catfish was exceptional. The hush puppies were even better. Go on, you know you wanna go.

Long wait time due to reunion for local h.s.; however, they worked swiftly and calmly to get everything organized and them seated while still seating regular diners. It was 6:15 and a 40 minute wait time. Better than most steak places. The hostess, whose name I didn't get, was amazing even though you could tell this wasn't an every day occurrence and she did her best to keep everyone happy under the circumstances. Even apologized to waiting diners once the large group was handled. The worst of it was that anyone waiting for that reunion or regular dining could not wait inside and we know it was triple digit weather outside. At the end of the day, everyone was seated, and well fed with great food! Everything we were served was delicious!

The beans and hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. The catfish and boiled shrimp were fine, nothing to write home about. Loved the atmosphere and vibe here. Full disclosure, no beer wine or liquor sold.

I didn't eat in, but the food was delicious. I ordered the Catfish dinner, great service and the atmosphere was very cozy. Loved the music too. Highly recommend the place if you're ever in Millbrook and want a nice relaxing place to sit down and enjoy a great meal.

Food was so tasty and served promptly. The "Setup" is a meal in itself, and really, really good. Hushpuppies are to die for! I'm not a fan of Coleslaw, but their's is amazing. Did I mention thr beans... WoW!!!!

An extremely popular place, so don't plan to walk right in. Primarily a fried catfish fillet restaurant, they do offer other seafood options such as shrimp, scallops and oysters, however if you want it any other way than fried your options are limited. You can ask for your items to be broiled but I've never known anyone to do that. The meal comes with what they call "set ups". This would include a minced coleslaw, seasoned pinto beans, and small hush puppies. I was with a large group (25) but service was quick an accurate. Food came out hot and additional set ups were offered. The food was good. Chicken fingers were large, the fillets were crispy and moist and the fries were crispy. Even a salad was a mixture of field greens with tomatoes, onions, and dressing was appealing. All in all it was a nice meal.

Worth the wait. The fix ens will get u full before you even eat. Interior has an eclectic mix of antiques. Great time.

Food was top notch though the waitress seemed like she would rather have been anywhere but serving us. Our appetizer was forgotten and then we kept having to ask for things that should have come with our food or for refills for our drinks. Atmosphere is nice and the fish tank is beautiful.

Great spot. I liked all the food. Everything was seasoned well. I am not a stuffed crab expert but that is the only think I'll skip next time as it just seemed very bready. Hush puppies were very tasty. I even looked the white beans which surprised me. Warning though, most things here are fried. Cheers.

Absolutely the best place around! Super clean, amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and fast service. I was brought here for my birthday dinner, and was absolutely blown away. Highly recommend!

Nice place, great for families and groups. Staff and service was nice and attentive. Food portions and prices was reasonable.

Food was amazing but the waitress not so much.... Brought our drinks and Cole slaw, hush puppies and beans and then never checked back on us.... No drink refill, nothing.....and then when it was time to pay and leave, it was like we were being rushed....

The service and the food were great our waitress was very accommodating and attentive. She was very efficient and helpful. The food was delicious. This was our second visit there and both were great.

One of the best catfish restaurants I've been to in a while. It's very similar to Top of the River in terms of quality and taste. I am definitely returning before I leave the area. The whole catfish, fried well done was one of the best I've had and I grew up around catfish other similar establishments. Although the parking lot was packed, it didn't take long to be seated, around 20-30 minutes. You must try this place!
