Great clean hotel with lovely staff. Easily meets and exceeds in a few areas the 4 star hotel requirements. Spacious guestrooms and bathrooms that were clean! The view from some rooms aren't the best but that's about the only negative. Good location, good parking, it does cost per night though, and walkable activities. Will stay again.

I was visiting a friend that was in town and the stay was at the Renaissance Downtown Montgomery. The hotel is always clean and kept, the rooms area amazing, the staff amazing as well, and of course it's in the best location. My friend said that, "the price is well worth it and to sleep on the bed is everything." "Well rested, comfortable, and relaxed" is how the conversation ended. I personally have stayed at the Renaissance several times and I have never been disappointed. If you haven't stayed a night or two at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel in the heart of the Capital City, make your reservation as soon as possible. Make it's mini vacation to get away from everything for a few days. You will thank yourself for doing so.

Always an amazing sit down and comfortable dinner at the House Restaurant. Great food, tasty drinks and the ambiance is spectacular for date night or taking your visiting guests. Staff is attentive and friendly. The bar area is a nice and intimate section to eat at the table or the bar and catch tonight's football game. However, if you are stopping in for an adult beverage and live music; the outside bar area is for you. The musical talent is diverse and entertaining each week. They have different genre of music such as country, soul, and dance. Check our their calendar for the next week/month acts. You will live it regardless.

Great hotel! Very clean, decorated for the holidays. I absolutely loved this overnight. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and well thought out. Especially loved the mural. The water pressure here was above most hotels I stay for the bathroom sink and tub and was a pleasant surprise. Only downfall for me personally is that as an aviation employee, we look forward to a personal microwave to heat up our food after a long day of flying. Other than that beautiful hotel, a great view of the water, loved and appreciated the breakfast on the 12th floor.

The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are dated. The room was dusty and had a weird smell. Both beds had a stain on the top comforter. Hair found on bathroom counter. Shower looks moldy and dirty. I asked the front desk to have someone come clean because it looked as though the room had just been sitting for a year without cleaning. Came back to my room and the same dust was there but bed was made up. Bathroom was still dirty. The staff was not customer friendly at both the restaurant and front desk. The lady who checked me in was great but her colleague with the ponytail who originally greeted me needs an attitude adjustment. She was down right lazy. I will not be back!

Good! Great service with exception of an item we accidentally left in our room at check out which housekeeping for sure would’ve found but did not turn in to lost & found. However, lost prevention did provide great customer service and reimbursed us for the item.

Beautiful hotel and location. Really love the Christmas decorations. Great view of the Alabama River from my window. Great rooms. Comfortable beds. Free wifi where you can connect to government VPN. Plenty of restaurants close to hotel. Remarkable Staff. I'd come back and stay.

Great hotel! Room was quiet and very clean. 12th floor Club level was great, but just wish the club lounge was open on weekends. Great view from my room!

Great facilities in a great location. Staff was friendly and professional. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. About a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Montgomery depending on traffic. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable; but, the room did seem a little tight with all the furniture. You had to squeeze by the dresser and edge of the bed to get to one side of the bed, and there wasn’t much space between the bed and ottoman table, or the ottoman table and the couch. Hot breakfast items were hot and fresh, and the coffee was delicious. I definitely recommend this location for your next stay in Montgomery.

The hotel overall was nice n decorated for the holidays. In my opinion way overpriced for only a one night stay and then adding a fee and not informing me of it until I checked is very unprofessional. Also the maid staff actually lied n said that she saw or smelled smoke in our room wen neither me or my lady smoke so they tried to charge me an additional $250 which I would’ve never known about had I not checked my account the next day. I’m not sure I would recommend staying there.

Room was nice. Breakfast was good. Staff in general were friendly. Valet wasn’t very good. Would be nice to have help getting bags in/out of car, even if they aren’t able to take them up to the room. Valet didn’t offer to help either time when I was arriving or departing, despite the fact that I tipped well and they weren’t busy. They were just standing around talking to each other both times. Fitness center is not great. Very hot. Not much strength training equipment. No water bottles, just a water machine with tiny cups. No towels available.

The rooms were nice and the hotel overall was nice. Check in was smooth. Breakfast was delicious. It was worth saving the time, not leaving the hotel to get breakfast. The only thing that made me give this 4 stars versus 5 was valet. I got in late one night and had to wait over 15 minutes for valet that never came to get my keys. The lady at the desk took them to keep me from continuing to wait. Outside of that, the stay was great.

We recently attended a dance festival held at the hotel and we were treated very well. The rooms were nice, the service and food were wonderful. The staff was very accommodating to our dance company and large group.

This hotel is in the center of the riverfront district, so there's so much to do. From bars to restaurants and an entrance into the riverfront. The rooms are great. I gave 4 stars because their were no microwaves in the rooms. You have to go to the 2nd floor to heat up your food. Even if not in every room, at least have 1 on each floor where the vending and ice machine are located. I was on the 7th floor, so that was a trip every time I needed to warm up something

was looking forward to this stay with its location in the middle of everything and over looking the river. The pool deck had jagged flooring and felt like it would crumble. The restaurant had a good breakfast with excellent service, that crew was best part of the stay. The bar felted hurried even through they were not busy either time.

My wife and I loved our room. If I had to complain, it would be about controlling the mixture of hot and cold water in our room. It was very tricky. Either freezing cold or scalding hot. Other than that, the room was great. The front desk staff and valet attendants were very nice and helpful. If you can plan it out to be there on the 2nd Saturday of the month, they have a festival out in front of the hotel. Also, metered parking is free on the weekends, so if you can find parking on the street in front, it will save you $25 to $30

Stayed overnight as I rolled through town. A lot of the other Marriott properties some less than fantastic reviews that made me concerned. I found the Renaissance hotel and took a chance. Happy to say they surpassed my expectations! The rooms were gorgeous and spacious! The accommodations were some of the best I’ve seen from Marriott in a while. Next time I’m in Montgomery, AL I’ll be staying here again!

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be disappointed. We were just there for a work trip and we really enjoyed it. Loved the layout of everything except the pool, track, and weight room being such a long distance from our room. All of that stuff was nice, just going to walk to get to were you need to go.

I work for an airline that stays here frequently. I was given the Hospitality Suite without knowing. When I got to my room, I cried like a little girl. I was so happy because I never had a chance to stay in a suite. I didn't take photos, only a video which is too long to upload. My room had a master washroom with a gorgeous shower, a dining area, a kithcenette, and a huge balcony with a beautiful view of the river behind the Union Station. Our captain said he stayed in the Presidential Suite and I can only imagine how much more beautiful his room was. The hotel is gorgeous from the inside out and though we didn't get to stay overnight for too long, I was told there is so much to do there so I cannot wait to go back!

The hotel is great but if you arrive after 10:00 pm and park in the hotel garage before you check in you will not be able to safely go into the lobby. There are no signs stating that you need to check in first. I learned this the hard way. I went to the second floor lobby entrance and could not get in so I had to go down to the street level and walk over two blocks with my suitcase after 11:00 pm. Not safe!

I haven't stayed at this location, so I can't comment on the rooms, food and customer service. What I can comment on is the outside bar and live band. Good live band, adequate seating and so so drinks. I would never go there, if I wanted a good cocktail.

Recently stayed here for a weekend trip to Montgomery and it was fabulous! Pros: Location is super convenient and walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Parking garage with valet parking. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable. The lobby and lounge area was grand and a nice place to relax. Oh yeah, rooftop pool! Cons: Rooms were the least soundproof I've ever experienced. Could hear the conversations of neighbors, woke up to their alarms etc. For the price, I also think the room should come with robes. Overall had an awesome stay and I wrote a travel guide for Montgomery with things to do and the best places to eat on my website if you'd like more ideas. Link is on my photo.

We found this gem in downtown Montgomery on our way from North Carolina to Louisiana. The valet, Logan, was absolutely fabulous, kind, and helpful as he unloaded our bags and helped us up to the room with them. We ate burgers at the exchange (the bar) and they were fairly good. We ate breakfast at the hotel as well, which was also fairly good. Would definitely stay again.

This is quickly becoming just an average place to stay. I will not come back here! Had a note that the room was cleaned only to find a used bar of soap in the shower. The bed looked like someone just hurriedly tucked the covers under the mattress. The front desk attendant, Ralph was a rude arrogant piece of work. They hike up the prices to double when there is an event I have no clue is happening in town, but only needed a place to stay. So disappointed. The one star is for the room service staff. The older gentleman is so polite and professional. That’s all…

I was promised a $85 credit at check out, but I never receive it. Also, I checked in, but the agent at the front desk never activated my key card. Upon returning to the front desk the same agent refused to assist me. I re-waited for another agent; and required to re-check in, having to go through the check in process for a second time. Also, the room safe was unusable upon check in; it had to be reset by hotel maintenance and the do-not-disturb sign for the door was missing, which I suspect had to do with the room cleaning service, which were unable to look me in the eye when pasted them in the hallway.

The location is good. There are some modern updates to the room like the thermostat, the alarm clock, phone plug ins, etc. Unfortunately, the housekeeping in our room was not up to par. The fitted sheets were not fitting. One of them was on inside out. The bathroom floor is disgusting. The tile should be steam cleaned and regrouted. I couldn’t believe that floors could go so long with dirt and crumbs trapped between the tiles like that. There was even one spacer left in the tile. Perhaps the workers never finished years ago. We also had a towel with a lot of red stain on it. I would suggest that the housekeeping do a little more to maintain the Renaissance standard. There is a restaurant downstairs. We had breakfast there and it’s not really worth what is charged. To get pancakes, we were told that we would have to pay $12 more. That would $32 for a Hampton Inn type breakfast. I did order the pancakes but they were not good. Overall, it is possible that I would stay here again if I’m in the area but that’s only because there aren’t many other options in this area of Montgomery.

The facility was warm and inviting. As soon as I drove up the attendant asked, are you staying overnight? Then he proceeded to direct me to the appropriate parking spot fir the length of time I would be there. The concierge was impeccable, greeted me with a smile. I would like to leave each person I became in contact with during my stay a giant hugđź’ž

It's a Renaissance Hotel, so of course it's more expensive but to me they are worth it. Only downside to this 1 is the room was warmer than I like. We turned the air all the way down and it got cooler but not to the level I like. My son was staying across the street at the Embassy Suites (Army put him up there) and their pool actually seemed nicer. But the staff here is super friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Location is great and within walking distance to several restaurants, and local attractions to include the ballpark and Riverwalk.

Fantastic location, customer service, outstanding rooms, amazing food, and Extraordinary staff. Great place to rest at, have a conference, or just enjoy a relaxing moment or two. The hotel is a pleasant walking distance to the Biscuits Ballpark. They have other wonderful places around to eat at. The hotel has enjoyable food. Make sure to try their cheesecake. I shall return many times again soon.
