Ambiance! You walk in and you have to give the interior decorator kudos, you almost feel a world away. The menu is simple, concentrating on food staples we know and a mix of food that is from across the pond. Concentrating heavily on the fried fish and chips. I actually came here on an off day Thursday and it turned out to be a nice experience. But I have to admit even if it was full I'd still enjoy it The food was good the beer is good The ambiance is good It was worth it.

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday. Had heard that this was a great place for delicious fish and chips. Words cannot describe the enormous portion of the fish as well as the absolute amazing taste and how the fish was cooked, was exceptional. It's literally enough for three people. Came with french fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. Good service and will definitely go back.

we stopped in to the pub rockwood. It’s an English pub with the staff wearing kilts serving English pub style food. Fish and chips, shepherds pie, bangers and hamburgers among other items. They have a well stock bar serving your favorite beverages. Our sandwiches were very good and the seasons fries are excellent. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Came here for the hyped fish and chips. No joke did not disappoint. The servings were massive and tasty. Crispness and flavor were on point. Sarah took care of us and was Awesome. Like super awesome, made the ambience next level. Definitely recommend the β€œBest Effen Mule”. Felt nice sitting outside. For sure coming back.

Small menu but what we got tasted good, order came out in a reasonable time. Decent atmosphere, a bit too expensive for the experience.

Live music, good food and drinks. The waiter was great. The food piping hot and tasty. A little oily than usual and grease tasted like it was just about time to change. Tasted it more with the fish than the fries. Still good. A late dinner and very filling. The Pub a good place for English food.

Nice selection of beers. I miss the casks though. Proper pints (20 oz.) and pours. Happy hour apps. until 7. Nice sized snug in the corner. Unfortunately it's right by the kitchen.

The freshness of the ingredients is evident, from the crisp lettuce to the juicy tomatoes, and the plump burger. But here's where I have a small bone to pick, or should I say, chip to fry. The decision to add chips to their creations left me feeling a tad disappointed. Don't get me wrong; I adore a good side of chips. However, when they're placed inside the burger, they tend to lose their crispiness and become rather soggy. The combination of textures can be a bit off-putting, as the chips struggle to hold their own amidst the juicy burger components.

I think I found a new favorite bar. Great food and drinks. Clean restrooms, music was at the right volume you can hear it and still talk with out yelling. This place is awsome.

Nice place to grab a drink and dinner. Fantastic beer list, tons of different liquor options, and really solid food. Not going to change your life but a nice time with good service.

Stopped in for lunch and a scotch egg to share. I had fish and chips with an old fashioned. My wife had a pimms cup and soup/salad. Fish and chips were by far the best part of the meal. Fresh hot and crunchy, loved it. The soup and salad was okay. The drinks were too sweet and syrupy something I should never have to say about and old fashioned. No complaints on the service. Over all not I can’t say I would recommend the Pub to a friend. Maybe I’ll try it again in a few months.

This place is amazing. Sarah took care of us on a Tuesday evening. We dined on the patio with perfect weather, and the ambiance was amazing. We ordered fish and chips and pasta, which were both delicious. I would visit again!!

This used to be when my favorite places. Before the pandemic I played trivia there once a week. The beer selection has gone downhill. The trivia is still pretty good. But I waited for 30 minutes at my table before I even got a water. I had to ask to order food. Which is when my servicers switched and then it was perfect. But the salad was so small for a ten dollar salad. Then drowning in the dressing.

My wife and I were again in the area for an event at Xavier. We decided to give the pub a try. Happy we did, my wife had a spinach salad with salmon and I had the fish and chips. Both dishes were well done and our service was good. Nothing over the top great, but we will definitely return. If you are in the area the pub is worth a visit.

Amazing place! Everything we ordered was superb. I don’t drink but if I did id kill my liver right here. The music was tasteful and not overpowering. Priced reasonably. Great service. Highly recommend. Bread pudding is the best since New Orleans.

Happy we could make reservations on a Friday night. Our guests really enjoyed the fish and chips. We had steak frites and gouda pasta. Nicely prepared and presented in a comfortable atmosphere. Ordered fish and chips to go and loved how well it was packed. Piper was appropriately attentive and pleasant!

Great fish and chips! If your taste bud is salty then this is perfect for you. The fish is pretty crispy but kind of salty for me and so is the fries ...

We used to go to the pub in Lexington and we've missed it since they closed. This was a lovely visit and was still the traditional Irish pub we remembered. Alexa was delightful and welcoming and the food was as we remembered it. And of course that is why one goes to a traditional pub - for familiar comfort food and good times with great people.

We LOVE this place. It has always been on our list, and finally we made it in. Of course we ordered the fish and chips (so worth it, don't talk yourself out of the fish and chips!) Insider tip: order the goat cheese dip!! I promise you it is insanely good. It's like the most amazing pizza dip that ever existed. We love sitting on the patio, even in the winter when they have the little fire out!

A backup plan to the packed Ford Garage (2 hour wait) we were able to get seated right away. Too bad the Union Jack wasn't lowered to acknowledge QE2 passing. The fish and chips were tasty. The only problem is the fare is a tad overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere is, as one would expect, "pubby" with a Happy Hour vibe. Oh, the other issue is parking at the establishment is limited. Worth a once in a harvest moon visit.

The best fish and chips I've ever had, which is a dish I don't get very often because I don't typically go for the fried stuff. The Bellhaven Scottish Ale was excellent and I would definitely return.

Happy hour is Monday through Friday 3pm-7pm! I enjoyed my fish and chips while my friend loved their pot roast. Scotch egg was also very delicious. It can quickly get busy and lively making conversation a bit tricky but I didn't mind. Will be back!

Love the decor, service was great and server friendly and knowledgeable. My food was good, but, a little on the bland side, I got a pasta chicken dish. The bread pudding was really delicious.

Friday, Jan 26 my brother and I went to the pub for dinner. I had the fried chicken dinner. When it arrived I was very surprised at what I was seeing. KFC is well known for giving their customers the smallest pieces of chicken in the world but they would feel shame and embarrassment if they gave anyone what I received. Live and learn, I felt that I ordered it so I ate it. Then, I ordered the fish dinner since I didn't feel like I had eaten anything at all. We didn't see our server much while we were there so I stopped another server and described the chicken dinner. The chicken was two pieces of flat boneless chicken meat about 3/8" thick and about the same size as my two year old grandson's hand. I was told, it sounds like they had given me the chicken from a couple of sliders instead of the chicken breasts. That sounds about right and it’s even more pathetic that they have an employee working in the kitchen who would mistake two chicken sliders in an order for a Fried Chicken Dinner. So then, our server brought our bills and we each paid with a brand new $25.00 Gift Card and a credit card to cover the balance. After he brought our credit cards back we noticed we both still owed the full amount. We asked someone to find him and tell him we needed to talk to him. We were told that he said he was too busy. So, this person asked what we wanted to talk to him about and we explained. Then he came and told us that each of our Gift Cards rang up for only .01 cent and he didn’t return the Gift Cards. He said, he was too busy to tell us about it so he charged each of our credit cards for the full amount. My best guess is, he was planning to keep the $50 in Gift Cards as part of his tip. The next day, I contacted The Pub with the contact button on their website. I explained our experience on the previous evening. It’s been 2 weeks since I contacted them and they have never responded.

TL;DR - 10 on 10 will try again. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Vast beer and cocktail selection. My wife and I went to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere and menu got us even more excited for our trip to the UK in the spring. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and it seems like a place you could go and relax and unwond with a friend and a pint. The food was absolutely delicious! The BBQ fries appetizer had a delicious BBQ sauce and harty bacon. The fish and chips certainly earned it's title as 'the best in the U.S.'. The fish was tender, flakey and perfectly fried. The chips were hearty, starchy and some of the best fries that I've had in a while. My wife had the salmon. The Dijon mustard cream sauce was delicious and the potatoes and broccoli was perfectly tender and seasoned. The dessert cookie was delicious. Real bits of vanilla bean in the ice cream and a gooey, hot chocolatey cookie with caramel drizzle was excellent!

Ordered the famous fish and chips. The fish was huge. I was only able to eat half before getting full. The interior of the pub definitely feels like and old English pub. I deducted one star because of the limited parking. Their parking lot was basically full, but the pub itself was probably closer to just half full. There is more parking in the strip mall located behind the pub and across the street.

We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we arrived in this fine restaurant which we didn’t know before. We spent a delightful experience there with superb cooking and a courteous stuff and an impressive chef. We put this place in our list and we will certainly visit again soon. We highly recommend.

Went in at lunch time. Was greeted promptly by staff and seated right away. Food came out hot and quick. Great experience. Waitstaff was very attentive. Food was great. Fish and chips was as good as any I have had outside of England. Will return for sure. Would reccomend to anyone. We also had the Scotch egg which was very authentic. My wife had a burger with beer cheese and onion straws which was also good.

I've eaten at The Pub before, and the food was good. Not so tonight. Tonight my husband's food was hot, but my dinner was cold. All of it -- the salmon, potatoes, and broccoli -- were cold. The server took it back to the kitchen to have it "reheated." I ate it because I don't want to waste food, but I expect more than a microwave meal for the price I paid.

The beer cheese is not hot and there was a long hair cooked into my burger but they have me a new burger and an option for a free dessert or to take off an appetizer. The butterscotch pudding was delicious. Over the food was alright and service was great. Waited about 5-8 minutes before we were seated to a table.
