Stunning scenery, incredible views, plenty of wildlife and a relatively unknown Bronze Age stone circle with the majority of stones intact - what's not to love? If you visit on a very clear day you can see all the way to Snowdonia! I also spotted red kites - they seemed to be nesting high up and hunting down in the valley. Incredible to look down on them swooping about! I also highly recommend spending some time at the stone circle itself - it's a magical place and you often have it all to yourself! Great spot for photos or just a quiet moment alone with the stones. Quite a steep climb up (depending on route.) I hiked in from about 5 miles away but you can park in the carpark if you prefer. Plenty of paths to take once up top, turn it into a short or longer circular route, or just take in the stone circle itself - it's up to you!

As these stones circle was built in Bronze Age it goes back to history of 3000 years ago where local Druids used it as sacred temple. This place is located about 300metres away from parking. There are amazing views and I really recommend this place for a family walk :)

Amazing place. The views are amazing, and the walk is lovely. Gets a bit wet and muddy after a good rain, so bring wellies. Awesome place to release beasties (kids, not dogs, the sheep are everywhere, so keep the fluffies on the lead ) parking can be a pain though. Tiny parking lot at the bottom of the lane and one at the top. We went on boxing day, and it was jam-packed

Fair warning. Parking is very limited. But free. The walk is not far at all to the stones. The country side...... no picture will ever do it justice! If your in the area please pop by and take a moment to enjoy the view!

A piece of 3000 year history set in the beautiful countryside. Accessible 24/7 and free. 5 minute walk from the small car park.

not a place for picnics or bus trips (the latter would have no way of parking) but if you're a pagan in need of connection to the brythonic past... perfection. birds: raven, kites, skylarks, swallows, crows.

Lovely location, just over the border in Wales. Only about half of the stones remain. These are believed to date back to the Bronze Age and there is much to muse over regarding the purpose of the circle and its builders. Worth a detour if in the area.
